Methods: The study included a retrospective series of 62 female patients with axillary lymph node-negative breast cancer. Expressions of PAl-1, C-erbB-2, VEGF and Ki-67 were determined by immunohistostaining on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections from these patients after a median follow-up of 69 months (range 22-117 months). Correlations with well known clinicopathologic factors were assessed and multivariate survival analyses were performed. Results: High PAl-1 level was positively associated with high histologic grade of the tumors. Disease-free survival (DFS) was significantly shorter for the patients with moderate to intensive expression of PAl-1 than for those with negative (χ^2 = 25.46, P 〈 0.001; χ^2 = 23.07, P 〈 0.001) to mild expression (χ^2 = 19.75, P 〈 0.001; χ^2 = 17.40, P 〈 0.001). Although on univariate analysis of the prognostic factors, tumor size, location of primary tumor and age as well as expressions of PAl-1, VEGF and Ki-67 were all significantly prognostic factors for DFS (P 〈 0.05), PAl-1 was the only independent prognostic factor on multivariate analysis (P 〈 0.0001; hazard ratio [HR], 4.041; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.928-8.468). Conclusion: These results of the current study indicate that intermediate or high expression of PAl-1 represents a strong and independent unfavorable prognostic factor for the development of recurrence or metastases in axillary node-negative breast cancer.展开更多

Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was used to investigate the meaningful module along with hub genes. Expression of hub genes was analyzed in 362 paraffin-embedded SA biopsy tissues by immunohistochemical staining. Patients were classified into two groups (according to expression of hub genes): Weak expression and over-expression groups. Correlation of biomarkers with clinicopathological factors indicated patient survival.RESULTS Whole genome expression level screening identified 6,231 differentially expressed genes. Twenty-four co- expressed gene modules were identified using WGCNA. Pearson's correlation analysis showed that the tan module was the most relevant to tumor stage (r = 0.24, P = 7 × 10 -6). In addition, we detected sorting nexin (SNX)10 as the hub gene of the tan module. SNX10 expression was linked to T category (P = 0.042, x2= 8.708), N category (P = 0.000, x2= 18.778), TNM stage (P = 0.001, x2 = 16.744) as well as tumor differentiation (P = 0.000,x2= 251.930). Patients with high SNX10 expression tended to have longer diseasefree survival (DFS; 44.97 mo vs 33.85 mo, P = 0.000) as well as overall survival (OS; 49.95 vs 40.84 mo, P = 0.000) in univariate analysis. Multivariate analysis showed that dismal prognosis could be precisely predicted clinicopathologically using SNX10 [DFS: P = 0.014, hazard ratio (HR) = 0.698, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.524-0.930, OS: P = 0.017, HR = 0.704, 95%CI: 0.528-0.940].CONCLUSION This study provides a new technique for screening prognostic biomarkers of SA. Weak expression of SNX10 is linked to poor prognosis, and is a suitable prognostic biomarker of SA.展开更多

These problems include ambiguities in Nietzsche's attitude to truth, and the question of how well he can carry through his project of affirming the individual on the basis of a creative reinterpretation of experience. I maintain that Novalis understands language and cognition to be tropic in a similar way as Nietzsche does, and that these writers provide similar critiques of discursive reason on the basis of what they view as its stultifying rigidity and misleading claims to a "literal" form of objectivity. However, I argue that Novalis avoids Nietzsche's difficulties by maintaining that a creative element in cognition does not rule out a variant of a correspondence notion of truth. Although Novalis' account thus falls foul of Nietzsche's goal of providing an immanent affirmation of human experience, the comparison shows that a Nietzschean attempt to provide a convincing model of individual self-affirmation should integrate a more positive role for trope, which can support a satisfying conception of the value of human creativity.展开更多

Based on the results of CNB done beforesurgery, 87 out of 204 patients diagnosed as invasive carcinomawere subjected to immunodetection for p53, c-erbB-2, ER and PR.The morphological change of cancer tissues in response to chemo-therapy was also evaluated.RESULTS In total of 235 cases receiving CNB examination, 204were diagnosed as invasive carcinoma, reaching a 100% consistentrate with the surgical diagnosis. Sixty percent of the cases diag-nosed as non-invasive carcinoma by CNB was identified to havethe presence of invading elements in surgical specimens, and simi-larly, 50% of the cases diagnosed as atypical ductal hyperplasia byCNB was confirmed to be carcinoma by the subsequent result ofexcision biopsy. There was no significant difference between theCNB biopsy and regular surgical samples in positive rate of im-munohistochemistry analysis (p53, c-erbB-2, ER and PR; P >0.05).However, there was significant difference in the expression rate ofp53 and c-erbB-2 between the cases with and without morphologi-cal change in response to chemotherapy (P < 0.05). In most caseswith p53 and c-erbB-2 positive, there was no obvious morphologi-cal change after chemotherapy.CONCLUSION CNB is a cost-effective diagnostic method withminimal invasion for breast lesions, although it still has some limi-tations. Immunodetection on CNB tissue is expected to have greatsignificance in clinical applications.展开更多

Purpose of this study was the selection of the best genotypes for future breeding program until the final goal and that is standardizing Cornelian cherry cultivars. Chemical content has been found to depend on the genotype. Total sugar content in fruits ranged from 11.77% (CPC16) to 41.62% (BPC7), vitamin C from 17.15 mg/100 g (APC8) to 42.30 rag/100 g of fresh fruit (APC2), Ca pectat from 0.17% (APC6) to 2.52% (KC 1 ) and anthocyanin from 22.65 mg/100 g (APC4)to 96.30 rag/100 g of fresh fruit (BPC1). Cornelian cherry fruits have an especially high content of minerals compared with other fruit species: the potassium content (in ppm) ranges from 2330 (APC6) to 11487 (APC4), the calcium content from 33.80 (APC6) to 1307.70 (BPC1), the sodium content from 22.82 (BPC8) to 273.48 (APC8), the magnesium content from 10.20 (APC6) to 372.80 (APC8) and the iron content from 2.38 (KC2) to 14.40 (APCS). The balanced content of nutrients, a wide range of food products made from the Cornelian cherry and an extremely high nutritional value make this fruit species a highly recommendable food item, especially if it comes from organic production.展开更多

It is becoming possible thanks to such managing operations of the organization, when in the end an image in accordance with expectations, giving the state back to the value of organizations is being got. Creating the goodwill is based among others on immaterial factors, which although they are becoming impossible to include in balance, are taken hold in time value of the organization. Creation of the value of an organization may be based on the organizational culture. The article presents the essence of value management and organization characterized the factors affecting the formation of organizational culture, ways of dealing with an organization aimed at consolidating and strengthening the organizational culture. Sometimes organizations feel the need to change the culture in order to achieve increased efficiency and ensure the success of the company to implement the necessary changes. Therefore, the rest of this article presents the elements to ensure a smooth implementation and consolidation of cultural change.展开更多

This variation is a result of changes associated with evaluative mechanisms that assign positive, neutral, or negative hedonic value to stimuli--that is, label them as attractive, uninteresting, or unattractive. There is widespread behavioral evidence for differences in genes, environmental cues, or social experience leading to marked changes in the hedonic value of stimuli. Evaluation is accomplished through an array of mechanisms that are readily modifiable through genetic changes or environmental inputs, and that may often result in the rapid acquisition or loss of behavioral preferences. Reversals in preference arising from "flips" in hedonic value may be quite common. Incorporating such discontinuous changes into models of preference evolution may illuminate our understanding of processes like trait diversification, sexual conflict, and sympatric speciation.展开更多
