在认识世界的道路上 ,人类面临着三大也许是永恒的谜团 ,一是宇宙之谜 ,二是生命之谜 ,三是认识之谜。对这三大之谜的不同回答 ,成为人类有史以来科学的主题和基础、哲学的主题和基础、宗教的主题和基础 ,并因此而演绎出不同时代的科学... 在认识世界的道路上 ,人类面临着三大也许是永恒的谜团 ,一是宇宙之谜 ,二是生命之谜 ,三是认识之谜。对这三大之谜的不同回答 ,成为人类有史以来科学的主题和基础、哲学的主题和基础、宗教的主题和基础 ,并因此而演绎出不同时代的科学体系、哲学体系、宗教体系 ,当然不同时代、不同社会的人类的政治生活、经济生活和文化生活也打上了对这三大之谜回答的深深的烙印。产生于 19世纪的达尔文的“进化论” ,是人类思想史上对生命之谜进行探索和回答的一次划时代的事件。今天看来 ,说达尔文“进化论”的提出 ,对全人类的科学、哲学、宗教、政治、文化以及方方面面产生了极为重大的影响 ,一点也不为过 ,因此 ,达尔文是值得我们怀念和敬仰的伟大的科学家和思想家。但是 ,从“进化论”提出至今已经过去了一百多年了 ,这期间人类的科学思想和哲学思想都得到了很大的发展 ,达尔文的“进化论”在人类思想的历史长河中仍然闪现出思想的光辉的同时 ,也暴露出狭隘、粗糙、简单等缺陷 ,因此 ,在人类探索生命之谜的道路上 ,超越达尔文的“进化论”是势在必然的。正因为如此 ,2 0 0 3年 4月6日 ,《太原师范学院学报》编辑部与北京天地生人学术讲座在中国科学院自然科学史研究所会议室 ,举办了“ 展开更多

Clinicopathological significance of LRP16 protein in 336 gastric carcinoma patients 被引量:8

AIM: To investigate the expression of leukemia related protein 16 (LRP16), and the possible relationship between LRP16 expression and clinicopathological indices in 336 gastric carcinoma patients. METHODS: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect LRP16 expression in 336 cases of paraffin-embedded gastric carcinoma tissues and 60 cases of distal normal mucosa. The relationships between LRP16 expression and patients' age, tumor size, histological grade, clinical stage, metastatic status and prognosis were analysed. RESULTS: The expression of LRP16 was 58.6% (197/336) in gastric carcinoma and 31.7% (19/60) in distal normal gastric mucosa. The expression of LRP16 in carcinoma was significantly higher than that in normal mucosa tissues (x^2 = 14.929, P = 0.001). LRP16 protein expression was found in 44.1% (63/143) carcinomas at stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ, and 69.4% (134/193) carcinomas at stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ (Z2 = 21.804, P = 0.001), and in 56.9% (182/320) of cancers without metastasis but 93.8% (15/16) of those with metastasis (2 = 8.543, P = 0.003). The expression of LRP16 was correlated with tumor size, infiltrative depth, clinical stage, lymphatic invasion and distant metastasis (all P 〈 0.05). Follow-up data showed that there was a significant difference in median survival time between cancer patients with expression of LRP16 (27.0 mo) and those without (48.0 mo, Log rank =31.644, P = 0.001). CONCLUSION: The expression of LRP16 may be associated with invasion, metastasis and prognosis of gastric cancer. 展开更多

Genetic diversity of three cultured populations of jade perch (Scortum bacoo) are studied using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers, which is Guangzhou(GZ) population, Foshan (FS) population and Qingdao(QD) population. Nine primer combinations were used and 385 fragments were detected. Among the 385 fragments, 80 bands (20.78%) were polymorphic. And it can be speculated that the genetic diversity of the three cultured populations of jade perch was very poor according to the gene genetic diversity among populations (Ht), the gene genetic diversity within populations (Hs) and Shannon-Weiner index (I). From gene differentiation (Gst), genetic distance (D), genetic similarity (5), and UPGMA analysis, it is found that the relationship among the three populations is very closed, and the difference in genetic diversity among the three populations is not significant. Further clustering relationships of the jade perch cultured populations also are correlated to historical-breeding observations and genetic relationships. The GZ population clustered together with the QD population first, then with FS population. 展开更多

Cloning of ACC Oxidase (ACO) Gene from Dendrobium officinale

Many studies suggest that ethylene plays an important role in regulating metabolite synthesis. Dendrobium plants are traditional Chinese medicine and nowadays its medicinal components are known to be secondary metabolites. In present study, a homolog of ACC oxidase (ACO) gene was isolated from flowers of Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo by PCR-method. The obtained cDNA of DoACO is 970 bp long and contains an open reading frame (ORP) encoding a protein with 314 amino acid residues. The DoACO shows high identity to its homologues from other plant species, that has 94.8% closest amino acid sequence of related protein with the ACO from Dendrobium hybrid cultivar. The putative ORP of the obtained sequence could encode a proper protein in respect of molecular weight under T -Lac promoter in E. coli. 展开更多
