The correlation analyses of various differential expression patterns with the performance and heterosis of main maize agronomic traits were evaluated. The main results were as follows: For uniparental specific expression, significant positive correlations were detected with the performance of seed weight per ear and 100-seed weight at 0.01 and 0.05 probability levels respectively. For biparental specific expression, significant negative correla-tions were detected with the performance of ear diameter and seed weight per ear at 0.01 probability level. For uni-parental specific expression, significant positive correlations were detected with the heterosis of ear diameter and seed weight per ear at 0.01 and 0.05 probability levels respectively. For biparental specific expression, significant negative cor-relation was detected with the heterosis of ear diameter at 0.05 probability level. However, for F1-specific expression, for fragments detected only in one parent and F1, and for fragments detected only in two parents or only in F1, no sig-nificant correlation was detected with the performance or heterosis of all agronomic traits surveyed.展开更多

Molecular and genetic studies of T. rubrum are still limited. In this paper, we report the global analysis of gene expression profiles at different growth phases using cDNA microarray technology. A total of 2044 differentially expressed genes were obtained and clustered into three expression patterns. Our data confirmed previous results that many mRNAs were pre-stored in the conidia of T. rubrum. Transcriptional profiling and function analysis showed that some glycolytic enzymes share similar expression patterns and may be coregulated during the transi- tion of growth phases. Some genes involved in small GTPase signaling pathways, and in cAMP-dependent and MAPK regulation pathways were induced in response to the growth dynamics of T. rubrum. Although the detailed biological roles of these Z rubrum genes are still unknown, our results suggest that these genes may be involved in regulation mechanisms in the life cycle of the fungus.展开更多

An Affymetrix Gene Chip MouseExon 1.0 ST Array was performed to detect the gene expression of different groups. Gene clustering was applied to analyze the gene expression patterns of the PPFS and QDS groups compared with the NC group. The transcriptional networks analysis tool, Fun Net, was used to enrich the biological categories of differentially expressed genes in the PPFS and QDS groups.RESULTS: Biological categories of differentially expressed genes showed that excessive metabolism and extracellular matrix interaction, insufficient communication of cells(especially nerve cells), and the bidirectional regulation of genetic information processing were enriched in both syndromes. However, the degree of excessive metabolism in the PPFS group was higher than that in the QDS group. The hyperfunction of cancer and infection, and the hypofunction of the nervous and endocrine systems were obvious in the QDS group.CONCLUSION: The pituitary plays an important role in the development of liver cancer and syndromes. This study further studied the role of the pituitary in the combination of disease and syndromes.展开更多
