因硬质合金极高的硬度和稳定性,其超精密加工仍然是玻璃透镜模压模具生产中重要且成本高昂的一环。主流的塑形域加工相关技术在硬质合金上的应用并不尽人意。本文通过纳米压痕测试、维氏压痕测试、单点金刚石车削、变切深刻划等实验方法... 因硬质合金极高的硬度和稳定性,其超精密加工仍然是玻璃透镜模压模具生产中重要且成本高昂的一环。主流的塑形域加工相关技术在硬质合金上的应用并不尽人意。本文通过纳米压痕测试、维氏压痕测试、单点金刚石车削、变切深刻划等实验方法,研究了WC-Co硬质合金的去除机理。首先,根据车削结果和观察讨论了传统塑形域加工理论在硬质合金上应用的有效性;其次,分析了机械加工过程中表面可能出现的微观缺陷和控制方法;最后,探索了减少WC晶粒破碎的临界切削参数,并在此基础上进行单点金刚石车削,证实了临界切削参数控制加工表面微观缺陷的有效性。 展开更多

The hot deformation behavior of the homogenized Al?3.2Mg?0.4Er aluminum alloy was investigated at 573?723 K under strain rates of 0.001?1 s?1. On the basis of compression experimental results, an accurate phenomenological constitutive equation that coupled the effects of strain rate, deformation temperature and strain was modeled. Furthermore, a kinetic model of dynamic recrystallization and processing map were also presented. The results show that the flow stress of the studied Al?3.2Mg?0.4Er alloy can be predicted accurately using the proposed constitutive model. The evolution of microstructure and the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization can be described exactly in terms of S-curves with the proposed kinetic model. Moreover, the processing maps for hot working at different strains were constructed, suggesting the optimum processing conditions for this alloy are 573 K, 0.001 s?1 and 723 K, 0.001?0.1 s?1. 展开更多

Based on the analyses of the microstructures and phase diagrams of the TiAl-based alloy, the relationship among the composition, structure and mechanical properties of the B2-containing y-TiAI alloys was reviewed. The refinement of microstructures and improvement of mechanical properties of TiA1 alloy through stabilization of the β/B2 phase were reviewed. The mechanism of the superplastic behavior of the B2-containing y-TiAI alloys was discussed. With a reasonable addition of β-stabilizer, metastable B2 phase can be maintained, which is favorable for fine-grained structure and better high-temperature deformation behaviors. The mechanical properties of the B2-containing TiAI alloy, including the deformability and elevated temperature properties, can also be improved with doping elements and subsequent hot-working processes. The above mentioned researches discuss a new way for developing TiAI alloys with comprehensive properties, including good deformability and creep resistance. 展开更多

Hot compression tests of the extruded 7075Al/15%SiC (volume fraction) particle reinforced composite prepared by spray deposition were performed on Gleeble?1500 system in the temperature range of 300?450 °C and strain rate range of 0.001?1 s?1. The results indicate that the true stress?true strain curve almost exhibits rapid flow softening phenomenon without an obvious work hardening, and the stress decreases with increasing temperature and decreasing strain rate. Moreover, the stress levels are higher at temperature below 400 °C but lower at 450 °C compared with the spray deposited 7075Al alloy. Superplastic deformation characteristics are found at temperature of 450 °C and strain rate range of 0.001?0.1 s?1 with corresponding strain rate sensitivity of 0.72. The optimum parameters of hot working are determined to be temperature of 430?450 °C and strain rate of 0.001?0.05 s?1 based on processing map and optical microstructural observation. 展开更多

In terms of lightweight electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding structural materials,Mg matrix materials have proven to be the best,due to their exciting properties(e.g.low density,high specific strength,good electrical conductivity and excellent EMI shielding properties)and their wide range of applications in lightweighting in electronics,automotive and aerospace industries.Through processing,such as alloying,heat treatment,plastic deformation and composite processing,Mg matrix materials can be obtained with tailorable properties which can play a key role in designing materials for EMI shielding.This work introduces an overview of the research on the EMI shielding properties of Mg matrix materials as well as their EMI shielding mechanisms over the past few decades,focused on the influence of alloying,heat treatment,plastic deformation and composite processing for the EMI shielding properties of Mg matrix materials.At the end,conclusions and future perspectives are provided. 展开更多

In order to describe the deformation behavior and the hot workability of equiatomic NiTi shape memory alloy (SMA) during hot deformation, Arrhenius-type constitutive equation and hot processing map of the alloy were developed by hot compression tests at temperatures ranging from 500 to 1100 °C and strain rates ranging from 0.0005 to 0.5 s?1. The results show that the instability region of the hot processing map increases with the increase of deformation extent. The instability occurs in the low and high temperature regions. The instability region presents the adiabatic shear bands at low temperatures, but it exhibits the abnormal growth of the grains at high temperatures. Consequently, it is necessary to avoid processing the equiatomic NiTi SMA in these regions. It is preferable to process the NiTi SMA at the temperatures ranging from 750 to 900 °C. 展开更多

To realize numerical simulation of rolling and obtain the hot forming process parameters for X70 HD steel, the flow stress behaviors of X70 HD steel were investigated under different temperatures(820-1100 ℃ and strain rates(0.01-10 s-1) on a Gleeble-3500 thermo-simulation machine. A new flow stress model was established. The linear and exponential relationship methods were applied to the parameters with respect to temperature and deformation rates. The rise of curve ends under certain conditions was analyzed. The flow stress of X70 HD steel predicted by the proposed model agrees well with the experimental results. So, it greatly improves the precision of the metal thermoplastic processing through finite element method and practical application of engineering. 展开更多

Semisolid billet of AZ80 magnesium alloy was prepared by new strain induced melt activated (new SIMA) process and thixoforging experiment was performed.The results show that after as-cast AZ80 magnesium alloy is processed by equal channel angular extrusion, microstructure is refined well due to heavy dynamic recrystallization occurring in severe plastic deformation.Compared with semisolid isothermal treatment and conventional SIMA, semisolid billet with fine and spheroidal grains are achieved in new SIMA.Thixoforging process of semisolid billet prepared by new SIMA has many advantages such as good surface quality of final component, high ability to fill cavity and net-shape.The fine and spheroidal grains and high mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 298 MPa and elongation of 28% can be developed in final part thixoforged. 展开更多

Residual stresses generated in cutting process have important influences on workpiece performance. The paper presents a method of theoretical analysis in order to explicate the formation mechanism of residual stresses in cutting. An important conclusion is drawn that the accumulated plastic strain is the main factor which determines the nature and the magnitude of surface residual stresses in the workpiece. On the basis of the analytical model for residual stress, a series of simulations for residual stress prediction during cutting AISI 1045 steel are implemented in order to obtain the influences of cutting speed, depth of cut and tool edge radius on surface residual stress in the workpiece. And these influences are explained from the perspective of formation mechanism of residual stress in cutting. The conclusions have good applicability and can be used to guide the parameters selection in actual production. 展开更多
