Security Situation in Afghanistan

In the first half of 2006, the Taliban armed forces intensified their terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, thus drawing attention of the international community. The worse situation there will inevitably produce negative impacts on the security in the west regions of China. Based on a thorough analysis of the situation, the author concluded that the low-intensity conflicts there would continue in some time to come.
