Microstructures of the joints were examined by optical microscopy, scanning ...Electron beam welding experiments of titanium alloy to stainless steel were carried out with different filler metals, such as Ni, V, and Cu. Microstructures of the joints were examined by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. Mechanical properties of the joints were evaluated according to tensile strength and microhardness. As a result, influences of filler metals on microstructures and mechanical properties of electron beam welded titanium-stainless steel joints were discussed. The results showed that all the filler metals were helpful to restrain the Ti-Fe intermetallics. The welds with different filler metals were all characterized by solid solution and interfacial intermetallics. For each type of the filler metal, the type of solid solution and interfacial intermetallics depended on the metallurgical reactions between the filler metals and base metals. The interfacial intermetallics were Fe2Ti+Ni3Ti+NiTi2, TiFe, and Cu2Ti+CuTi+CuTi2 in the joints welded with Ni, V, and Cu filler metals, respectively. The tensile strengths of the joints were dependent on the hardness of the interfacial intermetallics. The joint welded with Ag filler metal had the highest tensile strength, which is about 310 MPa.展开更多

The company controls a considerable portion of the J-M reef and is currently developing the "Blitz Project," which will provide a main haulage level, ore pass systems, backfill plants, and fiow-through ventilation to increase production and ensure sustainable extraction of this critical strategic mineral. While driving two sub-parallel footwall laterals 8125 m in length, one of the development drifts experienced a massive fall in a geologically disturbed area created by a mafic dike intrusion. Combinations of a void fill material (Tekseal), polyurethane injection, fore poling coupled with steel arches, and supplemental bolting allow safe and efficient advance through this geologically dis- turbed zone. The effects of components and their ratio of grouts on anti-seepage capability of clay-solidified grouting curtain and its permeability of heavy metal cations were investigated by permeating experiments, using reactiv...The effects of components and their ratio of grouts on anti-seepage capability of clay-solidified grouting curtain and its permeability of heavy metal cations were investigated by permeating experiments, using reactive solute transport model to study the permeation of heavy metals (Cd2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+). The study of permeating for different mixture ratios of cement and clay indicates that hydraulic conductivity of clay-solidified grouting curtain with different ratios of solid to liquid or with the same ratio of solid to liquid but with different ratios of cement to clay is changed. The laboratory simulation test results also show that precipitates produced in heavy metal cation migration process in curtain block up water flowing passage which makes the hydraulic conductivity of the solution-permeated curtain decrease with the leakage time. The permeation velocities for different heavy metal cations vary with ionic concentration, exchange capacity and ion radius etc. The test results indicate that the permeation rapidity order of heavy metals cations in clay-solidified grouting curtain is Hg2+>Pb2+ in the same experimental circumstance. In addition, permeability for different mixture ratios and antisepsis capabilities of clay-solidified grouting curtain were studied in tests.展开更多

Except for Mo, S, Na and elements whose concentrations were lower than the detection limits, the extractable element concentrations in both ash fractions followed the order H2O<CH3COONH4<HCl. The elements concentrations in this study were also lower than those in our previous studies, in which certain extraction stages followed the BCR extraction procedure.展开更多

Microstructure...The Al-Cu-Li alloy is welded by using laser beam welding,and the welding wire ER4043 is used as filler metal. The microstructure and mechanical property of welded joints are systematically investigated. Microstructure analyses show that the fusion zone is mainly composed of α-Al matrix phase and some strengthening phases including T,δ’,θ’,β’ and T1,etc. During welding,the weld formation and joint quality are obviously improved by the addition of Al-Si filler wire. The measurements of mechanical property indicate that,compared with that of the base metal(BM), the microhardness in the weld zone is decreased to a certain extent. Under the appropriate welding parameters,the tensile strength of welded joint reaches 369.4 MPa,which is 67.8% of that of the BM. There are many dimples on the joint fracture surface,and it mainly presents the fracture characteristic of dimple aggregation.展开更多
To obtain dynamic mechanical properties and failure rule of layered backfill under strain rates from10to80s-1,impactloading test on layered backfill specimens(LBS)was conducted by using split Hopkinson pressure bar sy...To obtain dynamic mechanical properties and failure rule of layered backfill under strain rates from10to80s-1,impactloading test on layered backfill specimens(LBS)was conducted by using split Hopkinson pressure bar system.The results indicatethat positive correlation can be found between dynamic compressive strength and strain rate,as well as between strength increasefactor and strain rate.Dynamic compressive strength of LBS gets higher as the arithmetic average cement-sand ratio increases.Compared with static compressive strength,dynamic compressive strength of LBS is enhanced by11%to163%.In addition,theenergy dissipating rate of LBS lies between that of corresponding single specimens,and it decreases as the average cement contentincreases.Deformation of LBS shows obvious discontinuity,deformation degree of lower strength part of LBS is generally higherthan that of higher strength part.A revised brittle fracture criterion based on the Stenerding-Lehnigk criterion is applied to analyzingthe fracture status of LBS,and the average relevant errors of the3groups between the test results and calculation results are4.80%,3.89%and4.66%,respectively.展开更多
Friction stir spot welding with refilling by friction forming process (FSSW-FFP) was successfully modified using filler plate. Both of this new refilling technique and conventional friction stir spot welding (FSSW...Friction stir spot welding with refilling by friction forming process (FSSW-FFP) was successfully modified using filler plate. Both of this new refilling technique and conventional friction stir spot welding (FSSW) process were used to weld A1 6061-T6 lap shear specimens and the results were compared. Effects of tool rotational speeds on mechanical and metallurgical properties in both the cases were studied. Static shear strength of refilled weld samples was found to be better than those welded by conventional FSSW process at all tool rotational speeds. This is explained in terms of effective increase in cross-sectional area of weld nugget due to addition of more material from filler plate, thereby eliminating the probe hole. Failure mechanisms were discussed and fracture surfaces were analyzed through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The hardness profile of the welds exhibited a W-shaped appearance in both the processes and the minimum hardness was measured in the HAZ.展开更多

On the basis of boronnitride(BN) and aluminum nitride(AIN) used as thermal conductive fillers and by means of the testing system of hot disk and heat transfer experiment, researches on the varieties of thermal conductive fillers and the effects of the contents of high-thermal conductive coating have been done, which shows that the thermal conductivity of coating increases with the increase of the quality fraction and the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the thermal conductive fillers of coating. With guaranteeing better heat resistance, stronger corrosion resistance and adhesive force, the coefficient of coating can reach a level as high as 3 W·m-1·K-1.展开更多

MTEs (Metal Trace Elements) are the most toxic mineral elemems. This study evaluates the impact of MTE on a neighboring human population or playing near a municipal dump. Two panels were composed of adult men and children (males under sixteen years old). Four trace metal elements were analyzed: copper, lead, cadmium and zinc. The site of the study was the municipal waste dump in Marrakech (Morocco). The results reveal abnormal concentrations of these MTEs in blood and hair of adults and children.展开更多
Fully developed flow and heat transfer in metal-foam filled tube with uniform wall temperature(UWT) is semi-analytically investigated based on the Brinkman–Darcy model and the two-equation model, in which the inertia...Fully developed flow and heat transfer in metal-foam filled tube with uniform wall temperature(UWT) is semi-analytically investigated based on the Brinkman–Darcy model and the two-equation model, in which the inertia term, axial conduction, and thermal dispersion are ignored. A two-dimensional numerical simulation that adopts the full governing equations is also conducted to analyze the effects of neglected terms on flow and thermal transport performance by comparing with the semi-analytical solution. The effects of the relevant parameters and thermal boundary conditions including UWT and uniform heat flux(UHF) on the heat transfer characteristics are discussed based on the semi-analytical solution. The results show that the inertia term has a significant effect on the prediction of pressure drop, but has a relatively mild effect on Nusselt number. The axial conduction has significant effect on the Nusselt number at lower Reynolds number, and the effects of thermal dispersion can be neglected when the thermal conductivity ratio between fluid and solid is remarkably smaller for air/metal foam as example(kf/ks<3×10-3). The predicted Nusselt number of the semi-analytical solution is about 8% to 15% lower than that of the numerical solution with full model in the range of 4×10-5<kf/ks<3×10-3. Moreover, the temperature profile of solid is more sensitive to pore density and porosity than that of fluid under UWT condition. The Nusselt number under UWT is about 7% to 25% lower than that under UHF, and the difference is mainly determined by interfacial convection rather than solid conduction.展开更多

On the basis of boronnitride(BN) and aluminum nitride(AIN) used as thermal conductive fillers and by means of the testing system of hot disk and heat transfer experiment, researches on the varieties of thermal conductive fillers and the effects of the contents of high-thermal conductive coating have been done, which shows that the thermal conductivity of coating increases with the increase of the quality fraction and the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the thermal conductive fillers of coating. With guaranteeing better heat resistance, stronger corrosion resistance and adhesive force, the coefficient of coating can reach a level as high as 3 W·m-1·K-1.
文摘The reinforced two layered foundation bed considered for study consists of a layer of granular fill overlying soft non-homogeneous clay with inclusion or reinforcement (geosymhetic strips, grids or sheets) in single layer at soil-granular fill interface A method is developed to estimate the bearing capacity of a strip footing on the surface of a reinforced foundation bed over a finite layer of clay whose undrained strength increases linearly with depth incorporating the contribution of axial resistance of the reinforcement together with those of granular fill and soft ground. Parametric studies presented quantify the improvement in bearing capacity.
文摘The disposal of urban or hospital waste in open landfills is the easiest way to throw back of them without environmental concerns. MTEs (Metal Trace Elements) are the most toxic mineral elemems. This study evaluates the impact of MTE on a neighboring human population or playing near a municipal dump. Two panels were composed of adult men and children (males under sixteen years old). Four trace metal elements were analyzed: copper, lead, cadmium and zinc. The site of the study was the municipal waste dump in Marrakech (Morocco). The results reveal abnormal concentrations of these MTEs in blood and hair of adults and children.

文摘Fully developed flow and heat transfer in metal-foam filled tube with uniform wall temperature(UWT) is semi-analytically investigated based on the Brinkman–Darcy model and the two-equation model, in which the inertia term, axial conduction, and thermal dispersion are ignored. A two-dimensional numerical simulation that adopts the full governing equations is also conducted to analyze the effects of neglected terms on flow and thermal transport performance by comparing with the semi-analytical solution. The effects of the relevant parameters and thermal boundary conditions including UWT and uniform heat flux(UHF) on the heat transfer characteristics are discussed based on the semi-analytical solution. The results show that the inertia term has a significant effect on the prediction of pressure drop, but has a relatively mild effect on Nusselt number. The axial conduction has significant effect on the Nusselt number at lower Reynolds number, and the effects of thermal dispersion can be neglected when the thermal conductivity ratio between fluid and solid is remarkably smaller for air/metal foam as example(kf/ks<3×10-3). The predicted Nusselt number of the semi-analytical solution is about 8% to 15% lower than that of the numerical solution with full model in the range of 4×10-5<kf/ks<3×10-3. Moreover, the temperature profile of solid is more sensitive to pore density and porosity than that of fluid under UWT condition. The Nusselt number under UWT is about 7% to 25% lower than that under UHF, and the difference is mainly determined by interfacial convection rather than solid conduction.
