The LNA utilizes current injection to achieve high linearity...We present the design of a wide-band low-noise amplifier (LNA) implemented in 0.35μm SiGe BiCMOS technology for cable and terrestrial tuner applications. The LNA utilizes current injection to achieve high linearity. Without using inductors, the LNA achieves 0.1 ~ 1GHz wide bandwidth and 18. 8dB gain with less than 1.4dB of gain variation. The noise figure of the wideband LNA is 5dB, and its 1dB compression point is - 2dBm and IIP3 is 8dBm. The LNA dissipates 120mW of power with a 5V supply.展开更多

The presented algorithm can select a neighborhood in a certain extent according to the variety of the curves for calculating the largest Lyapunov exponent. And it can determine the linear zone based on the curves where branch is generated, thus, the largest Lyapunov exponent is obtained. The numerical experiments for the Hénon map prove that the proposed method is a direct method to identify whether a linear envelope to the curves exists in distinguishing chaos from noise, and it is superior to the Kantz algorithm.展开更多
The existence of a multi-path channel under the water greatly decreases the accuracy of the short baseline positioning system.In this paper,the application of a time reversal mirror to the short baseline positioning s...The existence of a multi-path channel under the water greatly decreases the accuracy of the short baseline positioning system.In this paper,the application of a time reversal mirror to the short baseline positioning system was investigated.The time reversal mirror technique allowed the acoustic signal to better focus in an unknown environment,which effectively reduced the expansion of multi-path acoustic signals as well as improved the signal focusing.The signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the time reversal operator greatly increased and could be obtained by ensonifying the water.The technique was less affected by the environment and therefore more applicable to a complex shallow water environment.Numerical simulations and pool experiments were used to demonstrate the efficiency of this technique.展开更多

Optimal array parameters are determined based on a mathematical model of acoustic field for linear phased army derived from Huygens' principle. The testing method and the system structure are introduced. The experimental results show that the phased array transducer system has the same detectability as that of conventional ultrasonic transducer system, but the system architecture can be simplified greatly, and the testing flexibility and the testing speed can be improved greatly.展开更多

By solving the nonlinear differential equation of motion which considers the nonlinearity of suspension at low frequencies numerically and measuring different kinds of surrounds and spiders, the nonlinear behavior of suspension is theoretically and experimentally studied. Since the nonlinear stiffness of spiders and surrounds can be measured and fitted respectively before assembled into loudspeakers, which spider works best with which surround is studied. The performance of loudspeakers such as harmonic distortion based on the nonlinear parameters can be predicted.展开更多

The modified Burgers equation (roBE) is derived by using the reductive perturbation method. The basic features of PA SHWs are significantly modified by the cold positron kinematic viscosity (U), superthermal parameter of electrons (ke), superthermal parameter of hot positrons (kp), the ratio of the electron temperature to hot positron temperature (or), the ratio of the electron number density to cold positron number density (μe), and the ratio of the hot positron number density to cold positron number density (μph). This study could be useful to identify the basic properties of nonlinear electrostatic disturbances in dissipative space and laboratory plasmas.展开更多
