Combining the origin of the...In this paper, a new method based on morphologic research named reconstruction cross-component removal (RCCR) is developed to analyze geometrical scattering waves of an underwater target. Combining the origin of the cross-component in Wigner-ViUe distribution, the highlight model of target echoes and time-frequency features of linear frequency-modulated signal can remove cross-components produced by multiple component signals in Wigner-Ville distribution and recover the auto-components of output signals. This method is used in experimental data processing, which can strengthen the real geometric highlights, and restrain the cross components. It is demonstrated that this method is helpful to analyze the geometrical scattering waves, providing an effective solution to underwater target detection and recognition.展开更多
Boiling processing is commonly used in post-harvest handling of White Paeony Root (WPR), in order to whiten the herbal materials and preserve the bright color, since such WPR is empirically considered to possess a h...Boiling processing is commonly used in post-harvest handling of White Paeony Root (WPR), in order to whiten the herbal materials and preserve the bright color, since such WPR is empirically considered to possess a higher quality. The present study was designed to investigate whether and how the boiling processing affects overall quality of WPR. First, an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry-based metabolomics approach coupled with multivariate statistical analysis was developed to compare the holistic quality of boiled and un-boiled WPR samples. Second, ten major components in WPR samples boiled for different durations were quantitatively determined using high performance liquid chromatography to further explore the effects of boiling time on the holistic quality of WPR, meanwhile the appearance of the processed herbal materials was observed. The results suggested that the boiling processing conspicuously affected the holistic quality of WPR by simultaneously and inconsistently altering the chemical compositions and that short-time boiling processing between 2 and 10 rain could both make the WPR bright-colored and improve tile contents of major bioactive components, which were not achieved either without boiling or with prolonged boiling. In conclusion, short-term boiling (2-10 min) is recommended for post-harvest handling of WPR.展开更多
Protein is a major component in muscles.Biochemical or chemical changes occur during processing of fresh meat and meat products,which positively or negatively affects meat quality attributes.In this review,we discusse...Protein is a major component in muscles.Biochemical or chemical changes occur during processing of fresh meat and meat products,which positively or negatively affects meat quality attributes.In this review,we discussed research progress in three aspects:(1)protein modification,degradation and meat quality of fresh meat,(2)protein changes and quality of meat products,and(3)protein digestion.It is emphasized that protein degradation is good for meat tenderization and the production of precursors for meat flavor and taste.However,protein oxidation has the beneficial and detrimental effects in different ways.Moderate oxidation should be acceptable in terms of meat eating quality and nutritional values,but heavy oxidation should be avoided.展开更多
For laser surface hardening of metal components with large superficies,a binary grating is proposed to generate single-row laser beam with proportional-intensity diffractive orders.To obtain a uniform hardened band di...For laser surface hardening of metal components with large superficies,a binary grating is proposed to generate single-row laser beam with proportional-intensity diffractive orders.To obtain a uniform hardened band distribution and improve the wear resistance of the sample surface,the binary grating is designed to produce single-row laser beam with energy strengthened at the two ends.The profile of the laser beam spot was designed to be strip with high length-width ratio to improve the machining efficiency of the hardening of large surfaces.A new advantage is suggested to obtain proportional intensity spots with evenness.The design results show that the diffractive efficiency of the binary grating is more than 70%,and the uniformity is less than 3%.The surface profile of the grating fabricated was measured,which shows that the fabrication error is less than 2%.The application of the binary grating in the laser surface hardening of metal components with large superficies is experimentally investigated,and the results show that the hardness distribution of the modified layer is more uniform than that hardened by Gaussian laser beam or array spots with equal intensity distribution.展开更多
