An empirical study was addressed to explore the language switching selection based on conflict resolution task between bilinguals and monolinguals. The Double-Source interference task was designed to investigate the interaction of attentional network and bilingual's language conflict resolution capacity. ANOVA for repeated measurement was used to measure the main effect of different attentional networks. The response time of alerting network was significant faster than that of executive network. There was also a significant main effect of different groups of subjects that bilinguals responded faster than monolinguals when operating alerting and executive network. Language switching paradigm can be used to interpret the neuro-cognitive process of oral consecutive interpreting, so the teaching implication will be discussed in the present study. 展开更多

In this paper, a self-mode-locked Nd:YVO_4 picosecond vortex laser is demonstrated, which can operate on the different Laguerre-Gaussian(LG) modes at 1 064 nm. A π/2 mode converter is utilized to realize the picosecond vortex laser with LG mode transformed from the high-order Hermite-Gaussian(HG) mode. For the proposed laser, the mode-locked pulse repetition rate is 1.81 GHz. The average output powers of LG_(12) mode and LG_(02) mode are 1.241 W and 1.27 W, respectively, and their slope efficiencies are 23.2% and 24%, respectively. 展开更多

A novel approach, which can handle ambiguous data from weak targets, is proposed within the randomized Hough transform track-before-detect(RHT-TBD) framework. The main idea is that, without the pre-detection and ambiguity resolution step at each time step, the ambiguous measurements are mapped by the multiple hypothesis ranging(MHR) procedure. In this way, all the information, based on the relativity in time and pulse repetition frequency(PRF) domains, can be gathered among different PRFs and integrated over time via a batch procedure. The final step is to perform the RHT with all the extended measurements, and the ambiguous data is unfolded while the detection decision is confirmed at the end of the processing chain.Unlike classic methods, the new approach resolves the problem of range ambiguity and detects the true track for targets. Finally, its application is illustrated to analyze and compare the performance between the proposed approach and the existing approach. In the present paper, Charpy impact resistance of aluminum-epoxy laminated composites in both crack divider and crack ar-rester configurations has been investigated. In both configurations, an analytical investigation has been carried out to evaluate the effects of layers thickness on impact resistance of the specimens. A model based on fuzzy logic for predicting impact re-sistance of the specimens has been presented. For purpose of building the model, training and testing using experimental re-sults from 126 specimens produced from two basic composites were conducted. The data used for the input data in fuzzy logic models are arranged in a format of 7 input parameters that cover the thickness of layers, the number of layers, the adhesive type, the crack tip configuration, the content of SiC particles, the content of methacrylated butadiene-styrene particles and the number of test trial. According to these input parameters, in the fuzzy logic model, the impact resistance of each specimen was predicted. The training and testing results in the fuzzy logic model have shown a strong potential for predicting impact resis-tance of aluminum-epoxy laminated composites. 展开更多
