为研究挤扩支盘桩在倾斜上拔荷载下的响应,利用ABAQUS对该受荷模式下挤扩支盘单桩进行了数值模拟,得到了5种上拔和水平荷载组合下两盘和三盘挤扩支盘桩盘数在不同盘间距下的荷载-位移曲线及桩身内力和位移的分布规律。数值结果表明:单... 为研究挤扩支盘桩在倾斜上拔荷载下的响应,利用ABAQUS对该受荷模式下挤扩支盘单桩进行了数值模拟,得到了5种上拔和水平荷载组合下两盘和三盘挤扩支盘桩盘数在不同盘间距下的荷载-位移曲线及桩身内力和位移的分布规律。数值结果表明:单桩在上拔和水平荷载作用下存在荷载耦合,上拔荷载明显减小了单桩水平刚度,水平荷载减小了单桩竖向刚度,但影响有限;基于数值结果提出复合承载力计算的椭圆公式,本文的对比结果表明:该公式的预测误差小于10%,且预测结果偏于安全;水平荷载的存在导致靠近土体表面首盘的抗拔能力不能充分发挥;建议在水平与上拔荷载比较大的支盘桩中,首盘到土面距离不宜小于8d。 展开更多

The mechanism of long-short composite piled raft foundation was discussed. Assuming the relationship between shear stress and shear strain of the surrounding soil was elasto-plastic, shear displacement method was employed to establish the different explicit relational equations between the load and the displacement at the top of pile in either elastic or elasto-plastic period. Then Mylonakis & Gazetas model was introduced to simulate the interaction between two piles or between piles and soil. Considering the effect of cushion, the flexible coefficients of interaction were provided, With the addition of a relevant program, the settlement calculation for long-short composite piled raft foundation was developed which could be used to account for the interaction of piles, soil and cushion. Finally, the calculation method was used to analyze an engineering example. The calculated value of settlement is 10.2 ram, which is close to the observed value 8.8 mm. 展开更多

The feasibility of longer spans relies on the successful implementation of new high-strength light weight materials such as carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP). First, a dimensionless equilibrium equation and the corresponding compatibility equation are established to develop the cable force equation and cable displacement governing equation for suspension cables, respectively. Subsequently, the inextensible cable case is introduced. The formula of the Irvine parameter is considered and its physical interpretation as well as its relationship with the chord gravity stiffness is presented. The influences on the increment of cable force and displacement by λ2 and load ratio p′ are analyzed, respectively. Based on these assumptions and the analytical formulations, a 2000 m span suspension cable is utilized as an example to verify the proposed formulation and the responses of the relative increment of cable force and cable displacement under symmetrical and asymmetrical loads are studied and presented. In each case, the deflections resulting from elastic elongation or solely due to geometrical displacement are analyzed for the lower elastic modulus CFRP. Finally, in comparison with steel cables, the influences on the cable force equation and the governing displacement equation by span and rise span ratio are analyzed. Moreover, the influences on the static performance of suspension bridge by span and sag ratios are also analyzed. The substantive characteristics of the static performance of super span CFRP suspension bridges are clarified and the superiority and the characteristics of CFRP cable structure are demonstrated analytically. 展开更多

A euryarchaeal histone modulates strand displacement synthesis by replicative DNA polymerases

Euryarchaeota and Crenarchaeota, the two main lineages of the domain Archaea, encode different chromatin proteins and differ in the use of replicative DNA polymerases. Crenarchaea possess a single family B DNA polymerase(Pol B), which is capable of strand displacement modulated by the chromatin proteins Cren7 and Sul7 d. Euryarchaea have two distinct replicative DNA polymerases, PolB and PolD, a family D DNA polymerase. Here we characterized the strand displacement activities of Pol B and Pol D from the hyperthermophilic euryarchaeon Pyrococcus furiosus and investigated the influence of HPf A1, a homolog of eukaryotic histones from P. furiosus, on these activities. We showed that both Pol B and Pol D were efficient in strand displacement. HPf A1 inhibited DNA strand displacement by both DNA polymerases but exhibited little effect on the displacement of a RNA strand annealed to single-stranded template DNA. This is consistent with the finding that HPf A1 bound more tightly to double-stranded DNA than to a RNA:DNA hybrid. Our results suggest that, although crenarchaea and euryarchaea differ in chromosomal packaging, they share similar mechanisms in modulating strand displacement by DNA polymerases during lagging strand DNA synthesis. 展开更多
