碳纤维复合材料圆梁作为片状物料传送的旋转部件使用时,对其承载强度、刚度以及振动性能的要求一直较为严格。本文在结合材料力学和经典层合理论的基础上,利用ANSYS有限元软件建立三维圆梁模型,对碳纤维复合材料圆梁在定载荷下的弯曲和... 碳纤维复合材料圆梁作为片状物料传送的旋转部件使用时,对其承载强度、刚度以及振动性能的要求一直较为严格。本文在结合材料力学和经典层合理论的基础上,利用ANSYS有限元软件建立三维圆梁模型,对碳纤维复合材料圆梁在定载荷下的弯曲和振动进行模拟。结果表明:纤维小角度铺层能提高圆梁的抗弯刚度,在考虑自重的定载荷条件下,壁厚变化与重力方向最大变形之间存在临界值;通过分析梁的振动模态,提取前6阶振动频率与振型,可知碳复合材料圆梁具有较强的抗振能力。 展开更多

Argyris'natural approach is employed to analyze vibranon mode of multilayered composite plates and shells.The shells can be either symmetric or unsymmetric.The spectral transformation Lanczos method with selective or fully orthogonalization is used to solve the eigenvalue problem of pencil(K,M).Some problems on shift,which is essential for the success of this method, are discussed.A few numerical examples, including composite square plates and conical shells,are presented. The results show that the method in this paper is efficient and reliable for vibration mode analysis. 展开更多

The influences of SiC content on the microstructure, porosity, hardness and wear resistance of A356?SiCp composites processed via two different methods of compocasting and vibrating cooling slope (VCS) were compared with each other. In the as-cast condition, the matrix of VCS and compocast processed composites exhibited globular and dendritric structures, respectively. While a more uniform distribution of SiC particulates in the matrix alloy as well as higher hardness values were obtained for the VCS processed samples, the composites produced via compocasting exhibited less porosity. The increased SiC content (up to 20% in volume fraction) resulted in a more uniform distribution of SiC particles within the matrix alloy and improved wear resistance for both the composite series. However, for the VCS processed composites, the increased SiC content, resulted in the decreased size and shape factor of globules as well as better tribological properties when compared with compocast composites. It was concluded that the improved properties of the VCS processed composites when compared with their compocast counterparts was a consequence of a more uniform distribution of SiC particulates in the matrix alloy as well as the globular microstructure generated during the VCS process. 展开更多

A semi-analytical method to conduct vibro-acoustic analysis of a composite laminated elliptical shell immersed in air is proposed.A variational method and multi-segment technique are used to formulate the dynamic model.The sound radiation of the exterior fluid field is calculated by a spectral Kirchhoff–Helmholtz integral formulation.The variables containing displacements and sound pressure are expanded by the combination of Fourier series and Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials.The collocation points are introduced to construct an algebraic system of acoustic integral equations,where these points are distributed on the roots of Chebyshev polynomials,and the non-uniqueness solution of system is eliminated by a combined Helmholtz integral.Numerical examples for sound radiation problems of composite laminated elliptical shells are presented and individual contributions of the circumferential modes to the acoustical results of composite laminated elliptical shells are also given.The effects of geometric and material parameters on sound radiation of composite laminated elliptical shells are also investigated. 展开更多

An innovative semisolid technique termed as vibrating cooling slope(VCS)has been applied to producing in-situ Al-25%Mg2Si(mass fraction)composite.The molten Al-16.5Mg-9.4%Si(mass fraction)alloy with 100°C superheat was poured on the surface of an inclined copper plate(set at 45°inclined angle)while it was vibrated at a frequency of 40 Hz and an amplitude of 400μm.After travelling the length of 40 cm on the slope,the resultant semisolid alloy was cast into a steel mold.For the purpose of comparison,reference composite samples were made by gravity casting(GC)and conventionally still cooling slope casting(CS)methods using the same alloy under identical conditions.The samples were hot extruded at 500°C.It was concluded that the size of Mg2Si particles was decreased by about 50%and 70%for the CS and VCS produced samples respectively when compared to that of the GC produced sample.Despite of their higher porosity contents,both the as-cast and hot-extruded VCS processed samples exhibited higher hardness,shear yield stress(SYS)and ultimate shear strength(USS)values as compared with their GC produced counterparts.These results were attributed to the refined and modified microstructure obtained via this newly developed technique. 展开更多

The brazing of 55% SiCp/A356 (volume fraction) composites in air using Zn-Al alloy as a filler metal was investigated.During the brazing process,ultrasonic vibrations were applied to samples for bonding and a significant dissolution of the filler metal into the matrix alloy in the base materials occurred.As brazing temperatures were increased,the thickness of the partial melting layers in the base material increased.SiC particles in the partial melting layer of the base material were transferred into the liquid filler under ultrasonic action and a bond with homogeneously distributed reinforcements was obtained after solidification.The volume fraction of SiC particles in the bonds could be varied by changing the brazing temperature.The maximum SiC particle volume fraction of the bond material reached 37% at a brazing temperature of 500 ℃.The shear strength of the brazed bonds was improved at pressures up to 244 MPa (at 20 ℃) and increased by 133.8% (at 200 ℃) compared with the filler of the Zn-based alloy. 展开更多

The smart magneto-rheological visco-elastomer (MRVE) has a promising application to vibration control.Its dynamic characteristics are described by complex moduli which are applicable to linear dynamics.However,experimental results show remarkable nonlinear relations between force and deformation for certain large deformations,and the nonlinear dynamic modeling needs to be developed.The present study focuses on the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of MRVE.The MRVE was fabricated and specimens were tested to show nonlinear mechanical properties and dynamic behaviors.The nonlinear effect induced by applied magnetic fields was investigated.A phenomenological model for the dynamic behaviors of MRVE was proposed to describe the nonlinear elasticity,linear damping and hysteretic effect,and the corresponding equivalent linear model in the frequency domain was also given for small deformations.The proposed model is applicable to the dynamics and control analysis of composite structures with MRVE. 展开更多
