The conventional method acquires 12 bit images on variable energy, and then fuses the images in a tra- ditional way. While the new method takes the fusion image as the input of neural network simulation system and takes the acquired 16 bit image as the output of neural network. The X-ray image physical characteristic model based on neural net- work is obtained through training. And then it takes steel ladder block as the test object to verify the feasibility of the mod- el. In the end, the gray curve of output image is compared with the gray curve of 16 bit real image. The experiment results show that this method can fit the nonlinear relationship between the fusion image and the real image, and also can expand the scope of application of low dynamic image acquisition equipment.展开更多

The preliminary phase of any restoration intervention must start with data acquisition regarding the characteristics and conditions of the building, including a survey of significant alterations. In a great number of cases, restorations are not respectful of the building's static efficiency, so its static requirement is weakened. In fact, a very high percentage of instances in which a restoration effort results in building damage is attributable to such modification's indifference to the structural balance of a structure, as consolidated over time. This study focuses on the restoration intervention on two trilobate pillars that separate the central space from the presbytery in the Cathedral of Matera, located in southern Italy. Through the use of sonic tests - carried out despite the complexity of the shape of the building and constructive elements that characterize these pillars -- it was possible to show the effectiveness of the implemented intervention, highlighting critical points and weaknesses. The research aims to show how -- despite the complexity of some structural elements of a building -- in-depth knowledge of a structure's structure and history is essential to for the success of restoration interventions, which are respectful of a building's type and material peculiarities.展开更多

The Ran GTPase plays a key role in mitotic spindle assembly. However, how the generation of a chemical gradient of Ran-GTP at the spindle is coupled to mitotic post-translational modifications has never been characterized. Here, we solved the complex structure of Ran with the nucleotide release factor Mogl and delineated a novel mitosis-specific acetylation-regulated Ran-Mogl interaction dur- ing chromosome segregation. Our structure-guided functional analyses revealed that Mogl compotes with RCCl for Ran binding in a GTP/GDP-dependent manner. Biochemical characterization demonstrated that Mogl-bound Ran prevents RCCl binding and subse- quent GTP loading. Surprisingly, Ran is a bono fide substrate of TIP60, and the acetylation of Lys134 by TIP60 liberates Mogl from Ran binding during mitosis. Importantly, this acetylation-elicited switch of Ran binding to RCC1 promotes high level of Ran-GTP, which is essential for chromosome alignment. These results establish a previously uncharacterized regulatory mechanism in which TIP60 pro- vides a homeostatic control of Ran-GTP level by tuning Ran effector binding for chromosome segregation in mitosis.展开更多

Alternatively, the monomer 1-ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether(EEGE), derived from Gly and ethyl vinyl ether, has shown potential for application in polymer chemistry, and homopolymerization of this monomer directly produces linear poly(1-ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether) and further yields linear polyglycidyl. In this review, the initiation system of the EEGE monomer is first discussed in terms of chain transfer to monomers in ring-opening polymerization of epoxides with substituent groups. Then, random copolymerization of EEGE with other epoxides is considered. In addition, because the EEGE units on polymers can be transferred to Gly units and further used to construct copolymers with complicated architectures, the applications of EEGE monomers to block, graft, and hyperbranched copolymers are reviewed. Finally, the synthesis of main chain and terminal functional polyethers by transforming the hydroxyl groups at the polymer end or on the main chain into certain functional groups are also discussed. Chemistry based on EEGE has been proved to be an efficient, versatile route to constructing copolymers containing Gly units and ultimately yielding the target properties and applications.展开更多
