In this study, we reported an alien distromatic Ulva species, which was found in an embayment(Holly Pond) connected with Long Island Sound, USA. The morphological and anatomical observations in combination with molecular data were used for its identification to species. Anatomy of collected specimens showed that the cell shape in rhizoidal and basal regions was round and the marginal teeth along the basal and median region were not found. These characteristics were primarily identical to the diagnostic characteristics of Ulva laetevirens Areschoug(Chlorophyta). The plastid-encoding tufA and nucleus-encoding ITS1 were used for its molecular identification. Phylogenetic analysis for the tufA gene placed the specimens from Holly Pond in a well-supported clade along with published sequences of U. laetevirens identified early without any sequence divergence. In ITS tree, the sample also formed well-supported clades with the sequences of U. laetevirens with an estimated sequence divergence among the taxa in these clades as low as 1%. These findings confirmed the morpho-anatomical conclusion. Native to Australia, this species was reported in several countries along the Mediterranean coast after the late of 1990 s. This is the first time that U. laetevirens is found in the northeast coast of United States and the second record for Atlantic North America.展开更多

In the eyes of patients, the appearance image of doctors is the image which is most concerned by patients. Doctors' clothes beauty reflects the inner beauty of doctors in working, giving the patients the warmth and comfort, which is of great importance to both the physical and mental therapy.展开更多

This paper discusses the correlation between increasing the sense of achievement and sustaining students' motivations in a Chinese cultural setting, in which language learning should not be understood in terms of North American and Western cultural values. Considering EFL or ElL situations at a tertiary education level in China's Mainland, the author thinks that for university students, we should consider this issue in another way and concludes that, from the adults' psychological perspective, the sense of achievement, more than any other factor, plays the most important role in sustaining students' motivations, thus contributing greatly to the whole process of learning. Therefore, it should be viewed as a very useful and effective method to maintain students' motivations. Based on this idea, the author strongly suggests that while they are capitalizing on some effective methods or strategies to foster and maintain their students' motivations, EFL or ElL teachers should try every means and utilize any occasion to ensure that students can feel their achievement and see progress during the advanced level of learning, thus guaranteeing they will keep expending energy and effort in continued learning.展开更多

Those four diets were used for in vio'o digestibility study. Pigs fed enzyme-supplemented diets improved average daily gain and decreased ratio of feed/gain (P〈0.05). Enzyme supplementations increased ATTD of dry matter, energy, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fibre and hemicellulose (P〈0.05). Supplementation with enzymes improved reducing sugar production and the IVD of dry matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fibre, total arabinoxylans, galacturonic acid, hemicellulose and cellulose. 0.015% enzyme supplementation in diets seemed to be sufficient to achieve maximum growth performance, nutrients digestibilities and reducing sugar production. Collectively, these results suggested that the supplementation of enzymes in diet increased the digestibilities of nutrients through the promotion of NSP degradation, thereby enhancing growth performance of growing pigs.展开更多
