A new power estimation method is proposed for base station(BS) in this paper.Based on this method,a software platform for power estimation is developed.The proposed method models power consumption on different abstrac...A new power estimation method is proposed for base station(BS) in this paper.Based on this method,a software platform for power estimation is developed.The proposed method models power consumption on different abstraction levels by splitting a typical base station into several basic components at different levels in the view of embedded system design.In particular,our focus is on baseband IC(Integrate Circuit) due to it's the dominant power consumer in small cells.Baseband power model is based on arithmetic computing costs of selected algorithms.All computing and storage costs are calibrated using algorithm complexity,hardware architecture,activity ratio,silicon technology,and overheads on all hierarchies.Micro architecture and IC technology are considered.The model enables power comparison of different types of base stations configured with different baseband algorithms,micro architectures,and ICs.The model also supports cellular operators in power estimation of different deployment strategies and transmission schemes.The model is verified by comparing power consumption with a real LTE base station.By exposing more configuration freedoms,the platform can be used for power estimation of current and future base stations.展开更多

In order to incorporate the reduced instruction set and the multimedia ex...The 32-bit extensible embedded processor RISC3200 originating from an RTL prototype core is intended for low-cost consumer multimedia products. In order to incorporate the reduced instruction set and the multimedia extension instruction set in a unifying pipeline, a scalable super-pipeline technique is adopted. Several other optimization techniques are proposed to boost the frequency and reduce the average CPI of the unifying pipeline. Based on a data flow graph (DFG) with delay information, the critical path of the pipeline stage can be located and shortened. This paper presents a distributed data bypass unit and a centralized pipeline control scheme for achieving lower CPI. Synthesis and simulation showed that the optimization techniques enable RISC3200 to operate at 200 MHz with an average CPI of 1.16. The core was integrated into a media SOC chip taped out in SMIC 0.18-micron technology. Preliminary testing result showed that the processor works well as we expected.展开更多

SEEG signals reflect two types of paroxysmal activity: i...Stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) is the main investigation method for pre-surgical evaluation of patients suffering from drug-resistant partial epilepsy. SEEG signals reflect two types of paroxysmal activity: ictal activity and interictal activity or interictal spikes (IS). The relationship between IS and ictal activity is an essential and recurrent question in epiletology. In this paper, we present a distributed and parallel architecture for space and temporal distribution analysis of IS, based on a distributed and collaborative methodology. The proposed approach exploits the SEEG data using vector analysis of the corresponding signals among multi-agents system. The objective is to present a new method to analyze and classify IS during wakefulness (W), light sleep (LS) and deep sleep (DS) stages. Temporal and spatial relationships between IS and seizure onset zone are compared during wakefulness, light sleep and deep sleep. Suppose multiple agents composing of a scale-free network topology, the performance of rejecting disturbances for the low degree node and high degree node is analyzed. Firstly, the consensus of multi-agent systems without disturbances is studied by designing a pinning control strategy on a part of agents, where this pinning control can bring multiple agents' states to an expected consensus track. Then, the influence of the disturbances is considered by developing disturbance observers, and disturbance observers based control (DOBC) are developed for disturbances generated by an exogenous system to estimate the disturbances. Asymptotical consensus of the multi-agent systems with disturbances under the composite controller can be achieved for scale-free network topology. Finally, by analyzing examples of multi-agent systems with scale-free network topology and exogenous disturbances, the verities of the results are proved. Under the DOBC with the designed parameters, the trajectory convergence of multi-agent systems is researched by pinning two class of the nodes. We have found that it has more stronger robustness to exogenous disturbances for the high degree node pinned than that of the low degree node pinned.展开更多

Finally those applications which can share and utilize those computing patterns or kernels can be executed very efficiently on those novel computing architectures. We think that the proposed approach may not be achievable within the existing technology. However,we believe that it will be available in the near future. The research on the architecture and urbanism of the former Portuguese Africa allows us to consider and to establish the real intrinsic value, typological and morphological diversity, and the lengthy duration of the l...The research on the architecture and urbanism of the former Portuguese Africa allows us to consider and to establish the real intrinsic value, typological and morphological diversity, and the lengthy duration of the legacy of this architectural/urban heritage. Portuguese colonization in Africa produced more recently, mostly in the period 1950-1975, some vast and great material values, of which seven or eight main cities, including the vast contents of their modern architecture, are striking examples. We can evaluate the most positive aspects with future impact represented by this Portuguese architects' practice (cultural ethics, use of modern technology, and service to society) and the architectonic work produced during that era. Although these cities and its architecture were created within a late colonial context of indisputable discrimination, they have prevailed despite wars and circumstantial abandonment. Now they represent a consistent material basis for the modernization and/or revitalization of urban life in these countries. Architects that are at present working and intervening in these countries should understand this ambivalence and complementary nature between the ex-colonial "concrete city" and the "informal city" pre- and post-colonial, so that their performance is socially and culturally informed, correct, and positive.展开更多

Regulating metal surfaces with micro-/nanoscale structures is of great significance for both material science and potential applications.However,the intrinsic properties of metals,such as fixed isotropic moduli and in...Regulating metal surfaces with micro-/nanoscale structures is of great significance for both material science and potential applications.However,the intrinsic properties of metals,such as fixed isotropic moduli and inflexible structures,in a sense present major limitations in developing next-generation smart patterned surfaces.In this work,a facile and general patterning strategy is proposed to endow insensitive metal surfaces with controllable spontaneous topologies and dynamic performance by exquisitely introducing an essential photosensitive interlayer.The arresting anthracene-containing photocrosslinking interlayer can selectively predetermine the anisotropic property of compliant bilayers without damaging metals’homogeneous properties,and realize a changeable stiff/soft layer.Furthermore,the mechanical transition mechanism of the self-adaptive wrinkling modes in metalbased trilayer systems is revealed to pave the pathway for regulating functional wrinkled metal surfaces.This photodriven metal patterning strategy can promote the development of brand-new methods for tuning the instability of multilayered materials,and be potentially applied in smart optical devices with dynamic reflectance,including light gratings and"magic"mirrors.展开更多
Communication bandwidth and network topology are two important factors that affect performance of distributed consensus in multi-agent systems.The available works about quantized average consensus assume that the adja...Communication bandwidth and network topology are two important factors that affect performance of distributed consensus in multi-agent systems.The available works about quantized average consensus assume that the adjacency matrices associated with the digraphs are doubly stochastic,which amounts to that the digital networks are balanced.However,this assumption may be unrealistic in practice.In this paper,without assuming double stochasticity,the authors revisit an existing quantized average consensus protocol with the logarithmic quantization scheme,and investigate the quantized consensus problem in general directed digital networks that are strongly connected but not necessarily balanced.The authors first derive an achievable upper bound of the quantization precision parameter to design suitable logarithmic quantizer,and this bound explicitly depends on network topology.Subsequently,by means of the matrix transformation and the Lyapunov techniques,the authors provide a testable condition under which the weighted average consensus can be achieved with the proposed quantized protocol.展开更多

文摘Two new dinuclear lanthanidecomplexes,namely[Ln_(2)(dbm)_(2)(HL)_(2)(CH_(3)OH)_(2)]·4CH_(3)OH[Ln=Tb(1)and Dy(2),Hdbm=dibenzoylmethane]have been synthesized using prepared multidentate Schiff base ligand H_(3)L(hydroxy‑acetic acid(4‑diethylamino‑2‑hydroxy‑benzylidene)‑hydrazide)with good biological activity.Structure characterizations show that the complex comprises two Ln3+ions,two dbm-ions,two HL^(2-)ligands,two CH_(3)OH molecules,and four free methanol molecules.Each Ln^(3+)ion is eight‑coordinated.The two central Lnions are bridged by twoμ_(2)‑O atoms leading to a parallelogram[Ln2O2]core.The interaction between the compounds(H_(3)L,1,and 2)and the calf thymus DNA(CT‑DNA)has been further confirmed by UV‑Vis spectrometry,fluorescence titration,and cyclic voltammetry.The results showed that both 1 and 2 could undergo insertion with CT‑DNA.CCDC:2343005,1;2343006,2.

文摘Regulating metal surfaces with micro-/nanoscale structures is of great significance for both material science and potential applications.However,the intrinsic properties of metals,such as fixed isotropic moduli and inflexible structures,in a sense present major limitations in developing next-generation smart patterned surfaces.In this work,a facile and general patterning strategy is proposed to endow insensitive metal surfaces with controllable spontaneous topologies and dynamic performance by exquisitely introducing an essential photosensitive interlayer.The arresting anthracene-containing photocrosslinking interlayer can selectively predetermine the anisotropic property of compliant bilayers without damaging metals’homogeneous properties,and realize a changeable stiff/soft layer.Furthermore,the mechanical transition mechanism of the self-adaptive wrinkling modes in metalbased trilayer systems is revealed to pave the pathway for regulating functional wrinkled metal surfaces.This photodriven metal patterning strategy can promote the development of brand-new methods for tuning the instability of multilayered materials,and be potentially applied in smart optical devices with dynamic reflectance,including light gratings and"magic"mirrors.

文摘Communication bandwidth and network topology are two important factors that affect performance of distributed consensus in multi-agent systems.The available works about quantized average consensus assume that the adjacency matrices associated with the digraphs are doubly stochastic,which amounts to that the digital networks are balanced.However,this assumption may be unrealistic in practice.In this paper,without assuming double stochasticity,the authors revisit an existing quantized average consensus protocol with the logarithmic quantization scheme,and investigate the quantized consensus problem in general directed digital networks that are strongly connected but not necessarily balanced.The authors first derive an achievable upper bound of the quantization precision parameter to design suitable logarithmic quantizer,and this bound explicitly depends on network topology.Subsequently,by means of the matrix transformation and the Lyapunov techniques,the authors provide a testable condition under which the weighted average consensus can be achieved with the proposed quantized protocol.

文摘Containment control of first-order multi-agent systems with uncertain topologies and communication timedelays is studied. Suppose system topologies are dynamically changed, a containment control algorithm with time-varying delays is presented. The stability of the control algorithm is studied under the assumption that communication topologies are jointly-connected, and constraint condition of distributed containment control for delayed multi-agent systems is derived with the aid of Lyapunov–Krasovskii function. Simulation results are provided to prove the correctness and effectiveness of the conclusion.
