Self‐supporting ZSM‐5crystals with hierarchical porosity were prepared through a steam‐assisted crystallization method using sponges as rigid scaffolds.The synthesized materials were characterized by X‐ray diffraction,nitrogen sorption,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and ammonia temperature‐programmed desorption.The ZSM‐5monoliths exhibited high crystallinities,hierarchical porous structures and strong acidities.They showed superior catalytic performance in the liquid‐phase esterification reaction between benzyl alcohol and hexanoic acid. 展开更多

ZSM-5 plates with a perpendicular intergrowth structure was synthesized by using a simple amine as the structure directing agent under hydrothermal conditions,in which the mother plate and the perpendicularly standing plates oriented along the(010)and(100)planes of MFI crystals,respectively.During the crystallization process,the mother plate was initially formed on the surface of the amorphous solid gel,while a set of parallel plates perpendicularly grew on its surface,via a homogeneous nucleation mechanism.The mother plate and the perpendicular plates had a similar thickness of 100-200 nm and were characterized by considerably shortened straight and zigzag 10 member ring pores,respectively.This unique intergrowth structure greatly facilitated the diffusion of the reactive molecules in HZSM-5 crystals during methanol conversion to hydrocarbons. 展开更多

Quasi-one-dimensional NiO with a hierarchically porous structure was synthesized through a facile coordination−precipitation method with the coupling effect of ammonia and a post-calcination treatment.The electrocatalytic properties of NiO fibers for the oxidation of ethanol were compared with those of NiO spheres.The results show that the fibrous NiO possesses a larger specific surface area of 140.153 m2/g and a lower electrical resistivity of 4.5×105Ω·m,leading to an impressively superior electrocatalytic activity to spherical NiO for ethanol oxidation in alkaline media.The current decay on fibrous NiO at 0.6 V in 100−900 s was 0.00003%,which is much lower than that of spherical NiO,indicating its better stability.The unique morphology and hierarchically porous structure give the fibrous NiO great potential to be used as an anodic electrocatalyst for direct ethanol fuel cells. 展开更多

An integrated optimization design was described using multilevel decomposition technique on the base of the parametric distribution and independent axiom at the stages of lower level. Based on Pareto optimum solution, the detailed parameters at lower level can be defined into the independent axiom. The suspension design was used as the simulation example. In an axiomatic design for the optimization design, the uncoupled and decoupled designs between functional requirements and design parameters are generally needed. But using the design sensitivity(or screening) of design parameters, the approximate uncoupled design is developed on behalf of the decoupled and coupled designs. Successive design parameters were applied to the suspension of torsion beam axle. The structural performance increases by 18%. The kinematic and compliance performance increases by 6% within the feasible ranges. 展开更多

Stretchable color-changing fibers are urgently demanded for smart textiles/clothing due to their perfect implantability,permeability of vapor and heat,and flexibility/stretchability.Herein,stretchable electrothermochromic fibers were fabricated with unconventional stretchable conductive fibers as core layers and thermochromic coatings as shell layers.In the stretchable conductive fibers,hierarchical porous structures with percolative one-dimensional(1 D)conductive networks were constructed through phase inversion of carbon nanotube/polyurethane(CNT/PU)solutions.With the deposition of silver nanoparticles(AgN Ps)on the surface of micro-pores,electrically conductive dual-pathways consisting of0 D AgN Ps and 1 D CNTs were formed to significantly enhance the electric conductivity and thus improve the electrothermal performance of the fibers.More importantly,because of the connective CNTs and AgN Ps,such dual-pathways ensured the electron transport under the stretching state,preventing the sharp decay of conductivity and electrothermal performance.Through the continuous wet-spinning method,the stretchable conductive fibers can be easily obtained with the length up to several meters.At last,stretchable electrothermochromic fibers were prepared with two color-changing modes and implanted into textile perfectly,advancing their applications in wearable display and military adaptive camouflage of smart clothing. 展开更多

Self-assembled Fe_(3)O_(4)hierarchical microspheres(HMSs) were prepared by a one-pot synchronous reduction–self-assembling (SRSA) hydrothermal method.In this simple and inexpensive synthetic process,only glycerol,water,and a single iron source (potassium ferricyanide (K3[Fe(CN)6]))were employed as reactants without additional reductants,surfactants,or additives.The iron source,K3[Fe(CN)6],and glycerol significantly affected the synthesis of Fe_(3)O_(4)HMSs.Fe_(3)O_(4)HMSs with a self-assembled spherical shape readily functioned as high-performance anode materials for lithiumion batteries with a specific capacity of>1000 mA h g^(-1)at0.5 A g^(-1)after 270 cycles.Further charging and discharging results revealed that Fe_(3)O_(4)HMSs displayed good reversible performance (>1000 mA h g^(-1)) and cycling stability (700 cycles) at 0.5 A g^(-1).Furthermore,as multifunctional materials,the as-obtained Fe_(3)O_(4)HMSs also exhibited high saturation magnetization (99.5 emu g^(-1)) at room temperature (25°C) and could be further employed as efficient and magnetically recyclable catalysts for the hydrogenation of nitro compounds. 展开更多
