岩石水力压裂涉及到复杂的流固耦合过程,水力裂缝扩展规律及压裂液与岩体间耦合机理是目前研究的热点与难点。基于ABAQUS平台的扩展有限元法(XFEM)具有计算精度高和计算量小的优势,其中的Soil模块可用来模拟岩石水力压裂的复杂过程,分... 岩石水力压裂涉及到复杂的流固耦合过程,水力裂缝扩展规律及压裂液与岩体间耦合机理是目前研究的热点与难点。基于ABAQUS平台的扩展有限元法(XFEM)具有计算精度高和计算量小的优势,其中的Soil模块可用来模拟岩石水力压裂的复杂过程,分析水力裂缝的扩展路径、宽度、应力等基本参数。通过上述数值模拟方法,研究了单射孔压裂、两射孔异步压裂、两射孔同步压裂3种工况对水力裂缝扩展路径、裂缝宽度、裂缝长度、射孔眼孔压等参数的影响。模拟结果显示:(1)在两射孔异步压裂和两射孔同步压裂工况下,由于裂缝之间的干扰,最小水平主应力的大小和方向以及储层抗拉强度发生改变,进而改变了水力裂缝的扩展路径;(2)在3种工况下,单射孔压裂形成的水力裂缝宽度最小,储层岩石初始起裂压力最小;异步压裂形成的水力裂缝宽度最大,长度最大,储层岩石的初始起裂压力最大;两射孔同步压裂时形成的水力裂缝长度最短,宽度、初始起裂压力则位于前述2种工况之间;(3)射孔间距影响同步压裂和异步压裂时的初始起裂压力,缝宽最大值及裂缝长度等。模拟结果可为不同的场地条件及压裂需求下选取合适的压裂方法提供初步理论指导。 展开更多

水力压裂技术广泛使用于页岩气开采工程中。为了分析压裂过程中多裂缝扩展形成复杂裂缝网的机制,尝试将态型近场动力学理论引入页岩水平井水力压裂过程的力学建模与数值仿真,在物质点间相互作用力模型中加入等效水压力项以实现在新生裂... 水力压裂技术广泛使用于页岩气开采工程中。为了分析压裂过程中多裂缝扩展形成复杂裂缝网的机制,尝试将态型近场动力学理论引入页岩水平井水力压裂过程的力学建模与数值仿真,在物质点间相互作用力模型中加入等效水压力项以实现在新生裂缝面上跟踪施加水压力,建立了水力压裂过程的近场动力学分析模型。通过模拟页岩储层的水力压裂过程,可得到复杂的裂缝扩展路径、裂缝网络的形成过程以及裂缝扩展受射孔间距及页岩天然裂缝和层理的影响。研究结果表明:射孔间距过小会造成起裂干扰,使中心射孔的裂缝扩展受到抑制;在压裂压力一定的情况下适当增大射孔间距,可以显著增强页岩压裂形成裂缝网的能力;压裂过程中水平层理面可能张开形成水平裂缝,且天然裂缝会诱导形成更复杂的垂直裂缝。模型和方法可为页岩水力压裂过程和机制研究及工程实践提供参考。 展开更多

Nanoporous BiVO;thin films were deposited using reactive magnetron sputtering in Ar and O;atmosphere, on various substrates, employing pulsed direct-current(DC) power supplies applied to metallic Bi and V targets for rapid deposition. The procedure was followed by a post-annealing treatment in air to crystallize the photoactive monoclinic scheelite structure. The influence of total pressure and substrate on the crystal structure, morphology, microstructure, optical and photocatalytic properties of the films was investigated. The crystallization of monoclinic scheelite structure deposited on fused silica substrate starts at 250 ℃ and the films are stable up to 600 ℃. The morphology of the films is rather dense, despite at the high sputtering pressure(>2 Pa), with embedded nanopores. Among the thin films deposited on fused silica, the one deposited at 4.5 Pa exhibits the highest porosity(52%), with the lowest bandgap(2.44 eV) and it shows the highest photocatalytic activity in the degradation of Rhodamine-B(26% after 7 h) under visible light irradiation. The film deposited on the silicon substrate exhibits the highest photoactivity(53% after 7 h). Lack of hypsochromic shift in the UV-Vis temporal absorption spectra shows the dominance of the chromophore cleavage pathway in the photodecomposition. 展开更多

Scattering of surface waves by the edge of a small undulation on a porous bed in an ocean of finite depth, where the free surface has an ice-cover being modelled as an elastic plate of very small thickness, is investigated within the framework of linearized water wave theory. The effect of surface tension at the surface below the ice-cover is neglected. There exists only one wave number propagating at just below the ice-cover. A perturbation analysis is employed to solve the boundary value problem governed by Laplace's equation by a method based on Green's integral theorem with the introduction of appropriate Green's function and thereby evaluating the reflection and transmission coefficients approximately up to first order. A patch of sinusoidal ripples is considered as an example and the related coefficients are determined. 展开更多

Presence of different terms with various values can alter the thermal behavior of the nanofluids flow over porous surfaces.The aim of this research is to study the influence of nanoparticles volume fraction,nanoparticles type,suction or injection,the heat generation or absorption,the Eckert number,thermal and velocity slip parameters,and radiation on the velocity and temperature fields on the flow and heat transfer over a porous flat plate.Four different types of nanoparticles including metal nanoparticles (Cu),metal oxide nanoparticles (Al2O3) and carbon-based nanomaterials (MWCNTs and SWCNTs) which were dispersed in the water (as based fluid) are studied.The governing equations are converted into the ordinary differential equations using similarity solution and solved numerically by the RKF45 algorithm.The results of the simulations showed a contradiction with the results of other researchers who expressed that using nanoparticles with higher thermal conductivity and volume fraction led to increasing heat transfer rate in nanofluids;this study proves that,in some cases,boosting the volume fraction of nanoparticles has a potential to decrease the heat transfer rate due to significant changes in values of some parameters including radiation,heat generation,and viscous dissipation. 展开更多

We study the macromixing behavior of single and multi-orifice-impinging transverse(MOIT) jet mixers with crossflow, in particular, the overall mixing time and the back-splash mixing time of the injected flow with the crossflow, using the PLIF technique. It is found that for a given mixer configuration, there is a critical jet-tocrossflow velocity ratio rcat which the back-splash begins to occur. Further increase in the velocity ratio r leads to sharp increase in the back-splash mixing time, which can offset the intensification of the downstream mixing. The dimensionless overall mixing time decreases as r increases to reach either a plateau or a local minimum, and the corresponding r value represents the optimal velocity ratio roptfor the macromixing. The momentum ratio of the two liquid streams is a key factor determining rcand ropt. For a larger scale mixer, a higher momentum ratio is required to achieve the optimal macromixing with the minimum dimensionless overall mixing time. 展开更多

The scattering of oblique incident surface waves by the edge of a small cylindrical deformation on a porous bed in an ocean of finite depth, is investigated here within the framework of linearized water wave theory. Using perturbation analysis, the corresponding problem governed by modified Helmholtz equation is reduced to a boundary value problem for the first-order correction of the potential function. The first-order potential and, hence, the reflection and transmission coefficients are obtained by a method based on Green's integral theorem with the introduction of appropriate Green's function. Consideration of a patch of sinusoidal ripples shows that when the quotient of twice the component of the incident field wave number along x-direction and the ripple wave number approaches one, the theory predicts a resonant interaction between the bed and the free-surface, and the reflection coefficient becomes a multiple of the number of ripples. Again, for small angles of incidence, the reflected energy is more as compared to the other angles of incidence. It is also observed that the reflected energy is somewhat sensitive to the changes in the porosity of the ocean bed. From the derived results, the solutions for problems with impermeable ocean bed can be obtained as particular cases. 展开更多

Patterned porous silicon (PS) films were synthesised by using bydrogen ion implantation technique and typical electrochemical anodic etching method.The surface morphology and characteristics of the PS films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and atomic force microscopy (AFM).The efficient electron field emission with low turn-on field of about 3.5V/μm was obtained at current density of 0.1μA/cm^2.The electron field emission current density from the patterned PS films reached 1mA/cm^2 under and applied field of about 12.5V/μm.The experimental results show that the patterned PS films are of certain practical significance and are valuable for flat panel displays. 展开更多

The scattering of plane surface waves by bottom undulations in channel flow consisting of two layers is investigated by assuming that the bed of the channel is composed of porous material. The upper surface of the fluid is bounded by a rigid lid and the channel is unbounded in the horizontal directions. There exists only one wave mode corresponding to an internal wave. For small undulations, a simplified perturbation analysis is used to obtain first order reflection and transmission coefficients in terms of integrals involving the shape function describing the bottom. For sinusoidal bottom undulations and exponentially decaying bottom topography, the first order coefficients are computed. In the case of sinusoidal bottom the first order transmission coefficient is found to vanish identically. The numerical results are depicted graphically in a number of figures. 展开更多

In order to consider the influence of temperature and underground water movement, an elastoplastic model and a 2D FEM stress fields on the migration of radioactive nuclide with code for analysis of coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) processes in saturated and unsaturated porous media were extended and improved through introducing the percolation and migration equation, so that the code can be used for solving the temperature field, flow field, stress field and nuclide concentration field simultaneously. The states of temperatures, pore pressures and nuclide concentrations in the near field of a hypothetical nuclear waste repository were investigated. The influence of the half life of the radioactive nuclide on the temporal change of nuclide concentration was analyzed considering the thermo-hydro-mechanical-migratory coupling. The results show that, at the boundary of the vitrified waste, the concentration of radioactive nuclide with a half life of 10 a falls after a period of rising, with the maximum value of 0.182 mol/m3 and the minimum value of 0.181 mol/m^3 at the end of computation. For a half life of 1 000 a, the concentration of radioactive nuclide always increases with the increase of the time during the computation period; and the maximum value is 1.686 mol/m^3 at the end of the computation. Therefore, under the condition of THM coupling, the concentration of radioactive nuclide with a shorter half life will decrease more quickly with water flow; but for the radioactive nuclide with a longer half life, its concentration will keep at a higher level for a longer time in the migration process. 展开更多

A small, inexpensive nonsurfactant, triethanolamine, was used as the template. The template was removed by thermal treatment in air and supercritical fluid extraction using CO2. The structure of the resulting materials was characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and N2 adsorption-desorption analyses. The materials are found to have narrowly distributed average pore diameters and wormhole-like pore channels. However, higher surface area and larger pore volume are exhibited after supercritical fluid extraction with CO2. The removal of the template by thermal treatment also leads to condensation and mild shrinkage of the zirconia framework. 展开更多

Porous anodic oxide films were fabricated galvanostatically on titanium alloy Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al in ammonium tartrate solution with different anodizing time.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) were used to investigate the morphology evolution of the anodic oxide film.It is shown that above the breakdown voltage,oxygen is generated with the occurrence of drums morphology.These drums grow and extrude,which yields the compression stress.Subsequently,microcracks are generated.With continuous anodizing,porous oxides form at the microcracks.Those oxides grow and connect to each other,finally replace the microcrack morphology.The depth profile of the anodic oxide film formed at 1 800 s was examined by Auger electron spectroscopy(AES).It is found that the film is divided into three layers according to the molar fractions of elements.The outer layer is incorporated by carbon,which may come from electrolyte solution.The thickness of the outer layer is approximately 0.2-0.3 μm.The molar fractions of elements in the intermediate layer are extraordinarily stable,while those in the inner layer vary significantly with sputtering depth.The thicknesses of the intermediate layer and the inner layer are 2 μm and 1.0-1.5 μm,respectively.Moreover,the growth mechanism of porous anodic oxide films in neutral tartrate solution was proposed. 展开更多

Ice thickness detection is important to offshore exploration and marine transport in winter. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can be used to acquire sea ice data in all weather conditions, and it is a useful tool for monitoring sea ice conditions. In this paper, we combine a multi-layered sea ice electromagnetic (EM) scattering model with a sea ice thermodynamic model to assess the determination of the thickness of flat thin ice in the Bohai Sea using SAR at different frequencies, polarization, and incidence angles. Our modeling studies suggest that co-polarization backscattering coefficients and the co-polarized ratio can be used to retrieve the thickness of flat thin ice from C- and X-band SAR, while the co-polarized correlation coefficient can be used to retrieve flat thin ice thickness from L-, C-, and X-band SAR. Importantly, small or moderate incidence angles should be chosen to avoid the effect of speckle noise. 展开更多

A numerical study has been carried out to investigate the temperature distribution and the natural convection heat transfer in axisymmetric two-dimensional vertical saturated porous cylinder with steady state laminar flow. A comparison between two situations is done under the effect of MHD (magnetohydrodynamics) and radiation. In the two situations, the vertical walls of the cylinder are cooled with constant wall temperature and a constant heat generation subjected along the centerline of the cylinder. The first case for cylinder with insulated upper surface and cooled bottom surface while the second case for cylinder with cooled upper surface and insulated bottom surface. The governing equations used are continuity, momentum and energy equations which are transformed to dimensionless equations. The finite difference approach is used to obtain all the computational results using the MATLAB-7 programming. The parameters affected the system are Rayleigh number ranging within (102≤ Ra ≤104), radiation parameter (0≤ Rd ≤ 2) and magnetohydrodynamics MHD (Mn) (0 ≤ Mn≤ 2).The results show that the temperature of Case 1 is more than that in Case 2 at constant Ra, Mn and Rd while the value of the stream in Case 2 is greater than that in Case 1. Nu increase with the increase of Rd and increasing Mn caused the temperature to increase and the streamline dropped while Nu decreased. A correlation has been set up to give the average Nusselt number variation with Ra, Rd and Mn for which the results are found to be in good agreement with previously published researches. 展开更多

This study gives an analytical solution for wave interaction with a partially reflecting vertical wall protected by a submerged porous bar based on linear potential theory. The whole study domain is divided into multiple sub-regions in relation to the structures. The velocity potential in each sub-region is written as a series solution by the separation of variables. A partially reflecting boundary condition is used to describe the partial reflection of a vertical wall. Unknown expansion coefficients in the series solutions are determined by matching velocity potentials among different sub-regions. The analytical solution is verified by an independently developed multi-domain boundary element method(BEM) solution and experimental data. The wave run-up and wave force on the partially reflecting vertical wall are estimated and examined, which can be effectively reduced by the submerged porous bar. The horizontal space between the vertical wall and the submerged porous bar is a key factor, which affects the sheltering function of the porous bar. The wave resonance between the porous bar and the vertical wall may disappear when the vertical wall has a low reflection coefficient. The present analytical solution may be used to determine the optimum parameters of structures at a preliminary engineering design stage. 展开更多

A uniform and dense TiO2 film was grown on the surface of porous NiTi shape memory alloys(SMAs) successfully by RF magnetron sputtering.The morphology and composition of the surface film were analyzed by using scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The corrosion resistance measurement proved that the surface modified porous NiTi SMAs exhibit better corrosion resistance and over 25% reduction of Ni ion release in the blood of the rabbits in comparing with the samples without surface modification.Moreover,the biocompatibility,as demonstrated by cell adherence and implant surgery,revealed that the cell adherence and bone tissue inducing capability are respectively enhanced over 1.1-1.2 and 9-10 times by sputtering a uniform TiO2 film on the surfaces of porous NiTi SMAs. 展开更多

Recently,research of crystalline-state transformation involving the removal/inclusion of guest molecules in porous coordination polymers(PCPs) was underway.Crystalline-state transformation,especially,single-crystal to single-crystal(SC-SC) transformation as new method for the direct observation of host-guest chemistry,can reveal the intrinsic relevance and interaction between the framework and guest molecules.This review describes our work concerning PCPs and recent investigations of others,within the last four years,from the viewpoint of crystalline-state transformations of PCPs on guest removal or inclusion processes.Ligand substitution reaction and postsynthetic modification of PCPs in SC-SC fashion which were distinguished from conventional crystalline-state transformation triggered by guest removal or exchange were highlighted in this review.The research status of crystalline-state transformation in China was briefly introduced as well.Series of structure analysis techniques including single-crystal X-ray diffraction,powder X-ray diffraction,neutron diffraction,inelastic neutron scattering as well as the application of synchrotron radiation light source will inevitably promote the advance of study of crystalline-state transformation.And as a hotspot,deep investigations of crystalline-state transformation also help us to overcome the challenge of achieving multifunction and the correlation among them,such as sorption,magnetism,optical or electrical properties simultaneously in PCPs and contribute to design stimulate-oriented porous intelligent materials in the future. 展开更多

In order to understand the breakup performance of coaxial porous injectors,the sprays of coaxial porous injectors with two different porous material cylinder lengths were compared with those of conventional shear coaxial injectors.To allow comparison,the wall injection lengths were designed to be equivalent to the value of the recess depth.Cold flow sprays were visualized using back-lit photography methods and analyzed quantitatively with a laser diffraction apparatus,in order to study the effects of the momentum flux ratio and Weber number on the breakup for each type of injector.In case of the shear coaxial injector,the large liquid core was observed in low air mass flow rate condition.However,the destabilization of the liquid jet from the coaxial porous injector is almost complete within the inner region,near the injector face plate.Additionally,better breakup performance in low gas flow rate condition was obtained when the porous cylinder length decreased,while the shear coaxial injectors showed better breakup efficiency when the recess length increased.In conclusion,the different breakup process caused by the radial momentum in the inner region of the porous injector disintegrated the liquid core. 展开更多
