In this paper, adsorption and regeneration characteristics of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) used as adsorbent were investigated for the removal of 1,3-beuzenediol (BDO) from water by the supercritieal water (SCW) technique. FFIR, XPS, SEM and dispersion stability tests were used to characterize the structure and surface morphology of CNTs. The results showed that CNTs surfaces were slightly activated and strongly etched in supercritieal water system. The adsorption capacity of SCW-treated CNTs was higher than that of raw CNTs. The adsorbed amounts for treated CNTs and raw CNTs samples at the same initial concentration of 60 mg/L were ca. 16.42 and 7.30 mg/g, respectively. The BDO adsorption of treated CNTs was due to the physical adsorption. The experimental data fit Freundlich isotherm model better than Langmuir one. The loaded adsorbent could be efficiently desorbed and regenerated by SCW technique. Therefore, SCW is a promising and environmentally friendly technique for the improvement of adsorption and regeneration of CNTs. 展开更多

Chemical modification of MWCNTs via oxidation followed by side wall functionalization using polyethylene glycol (PEG) and octadecylamine (ODA), separately, was studied. Different characterization techniques such as FTIR spectrometery, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and solubility in different solvents were performed for the oxidized MWCNTs, MWCNTs-PEG and MWCNTs-ODA. The characterization techniques proved the presence of the functional groups on the MWCNTs surface. Thermal gravimetric analysis revealed that nearly 16% (by weight) of the MWCNTs were functionalized with PEG and 39% (by weight) was functionalized with ODA. 展开更多

Metal-semiconductor field effect transistors (MESFETs) were fabricated on H-terminated polycrystalline diamond.The DC characteristics of the p-channel MESFET showed a maximum drain current density of 204 mA/mm at a gate-source voltage of 6 V,and a maximum transconductance of 20 mS/mm at a gate-source voltage of 1.5 V.The small signal S-parameters of MESFET with 2 100 m gate width and 2 m gate length were measured.An extrinsic cut-off frequency (fT) of 1.7 GHz and the maximum oscillation frequency (fmax) of 2.5 GHz were obtained,which was the first report on diamond MESFETs with RF characteristics in China. 展开更多
