顶层设计,深度统整,无痕融入——江苏省张家港市锦丰初级中学“大国学教育”的推进路径

国学教育,对中小学立德树人目标的达成,具有不可替代的重要作用。然而,近年来,我国中小学国学教育往往满足于让学生诵读一些幼学、蒙学名篇名作,甚为狭隘。本文提出了在学校教育中进行的＂大国学教育＂的概念并对其进行概念界定,阐述了＂大国学教育＂课程的建构举措,并通过实例论述了其实践路径。

文化自信背景下的国学经典类阅读课程设计

国学经典类阅读课程是学校提高学生文化自信力的重要途径。这类课程可以通过"大国学教育"进行广度拓展,通过研究性学习进行深度探析,通过社会实践活动实现近距离接触文化实体,做到必修课与选修课相结合,紧扣时事及其热点进行讨论以及学科渗透式教育等设计策略,引导学生正确认识中华民族传统文化,实现国学教育与爱国主义、社会主义核心价值观教育的有机统一,引导学生深刻领悟国学经典的思想内核,提高学生对国学文化的心理认知与情感认同性,进一步提高学生的文化修养与文化自信。

Teaching and Learning on the Internet： A New Model of University, the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO

The convergence of telecommunications and computer science, the realization of computer-based networks and the integration of languages, by overcoming space and time constraints, gave rise to the globalization process and to the development of the knowledge society. We are facing a true revolution that is based on the multiplication of knowledge and its corresponding applications, but also on the knowledge codification, memorization and knowledge transfer. The challenges that educational institutions, and the University in particular, are called to face are linked to the fact that classrooms or lecture halls are no longer the only places where one can follow study courses： anybody from anywhere, if he has the required technological equipment and the appropriate materials can build his own environment to carry on his own educational and self-learning process. This is the reason why we need to identify new models of university and psycho-pedagogic theories allowing for the development of new Internet-based teaching and learning models by carrying on research work. This paper describes the university model proposed by International Telematic University UN1NETTUNO, rapidly become acknowledged at an international level.

Graduates＇ gratitude： The generic structure of dissertation acknowledgements--A revisit

This paper examines the generic structure of dissertation acknowledgements accompanying 168 M.A. and Ph.D. dissertations written by native speakers of Chinese in a variety of majors of two disciplines （humanity and social science） at Chinese universities. It attempts to find out the relationship between the variables, such as gender, seniority, publishing experience, the length and the generic structure of dissertation acknowledgements.

The Puritan Culture and Entrepreneurial Education Idea in American Universities

The USA is one of the very developed countries with entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities.After more than half a century of development,it has reached a mature stage,and the formation of the concept of entrepreneurial education has advanced.In this paper, through the analysis of entrepreneurship education thought by Jeffrey Timmons as the representative of the America University entrepreneurship education idea, it finds out the Puritan culture factors,in order to better understand the basis and provides the reference of college enterprise education in China.

Learner Autonomy in the National English Language Curricula for Chinese Universities 1978-2007:A Historical Analysis

This historical study investigates the concept of learner autonomy in the national English language curricula for Chinese universities.It seeks to understand the meaning of learner autonomy in China and the intentionality of promoting this concept through the curricula from 1978 to 2007.By adopting Quentin Skinner’s intentionalist approach to analyzing the history of ideas,this study conducted a systematic document analysis of three national curricula in relation to their linguistic and practical contexts constituted of 169 Chinese academic articles in total.The study revealed that learner autonomy mainly referred to students’motivation and ability to work hard on their own outside the classroom in the Chinese context.Importing this concept,however,caused ideological confusion and exacerbated the disempowerment of teachers within the dynamics of China’s English language education at the tertiary level.The study raises awareness for borrowing concepts across different cultural contexts and has implications for research,policymaking,teacher development,and pedagogical practice in second language education in China.

Humanism is the soul of the ideological and political education. In the process of ideological and political education, adherence to humanities education is the objective requirement of modem education. This paper analyzes Chinese college students＇ ideological and political education ways and strategies in the new period. The author believes that optimized campus cultural environment can help build stages for students＇ growth, establish the principal position of students, promote students＇ individuality development, improve the psychological service system, improve students＇ psychological development, increasing students＇ emotional education and pay attention to students＇ emotion demands, etc.

A Probe Into CLT Pedagogical Implications for English Majors in China's Mainland： A Holistic Educational Paradigm

Notwithstanding the tremendous progress of foreign language teaching （FLT） and foreign language education （FLE） in China's Mainland, there still remain large-scale margins as reflective argumentation on the issue of methodology, pedagogy, and educational paradigm to probe into. Among each respective margin concerning this FLT and FLE, this paper deepens the aspects of methodological approach of communicative language teaching （CLT） and holistic educational paradigm. Furthermore, this paper elaborates the current dominant teaching status and makes discussion on the topic of harmony between English teaching and using, taking Basic English course for English majors in China's Mainland as the case study.

Self-Regulated Reading Comprehension Strategy Selection Through Diagnostic-Prescriptive Instruction： A Case Study

This demonstration of concept applies diagnostic-prescriptive reading instruction, a methodology useo m omteu atd^u~ developmental education, toward improving reading comprehension and self-regulated comprehension strategy selection in Chinese postsecondary education. A single tutor, also the researcher, works closely with one Chinese university student to develop student-centered comprehension strategies that she can practice on her own. After a battery of formal and informal assessments and interviews, decoding and understanding deficiencies are identified, characterized, and discussed. Both the student and her tutor develop and execute a study plan, which was completed during the spring semester of 2010 at Sha＇anxi University of Science and Technology （SUST） in Xi＇an, People＇s Republic of China （PRC）. By focusing on the subject＇s primary decoding deficiency, spelling, and her primary understanding deficiency, lack of background knowledge, the subject and her reading tutor are able to strategically tackle five reading comprehension goals： （1） spelling; （2） phonemic awareness; （3） noticing structural and cohesive elements; （4） comparing argumentative and evaluative texts; and （5） analyzing expository texts in business and economics. A final discussion analyzes both qualitative and quantitative data, including unexpected discoveries such as the salience of cohesion in reading comprehension and the cultural biases of standardized reading assessments.

A Comparative Study on the Education of Elderly University between China and Britain

The UK is one of the earliest countries in the world to set up an elderly university. There are many similarities and differences between Chinese and British elderly university. This paper makes a comparative study on the educational goals, curriculum, content and activities of elderly university in China and Britain, which is beneficial to the elderly university of our country for reference to the development experience of the elderly university in Britain. The elderly university in our country should also adhere to the value orientation of social adaptation and self-realization theory, further update the curriculum content, carry out diversified teaching activities, meet the diversified needs of the elderly for entertainment, learning and development, and ultimately improve the quality of life of the elderly.

Exploration and Rethinking： Children-Voice Studies in China

This paper reviews children-voice studies in China's Mainland over the past 10 years in the context of the globalisation era. The traditional grand narrative in the field of contemporary education research in China has been challenged by individual recounts and by concemsregarding the situation in the classroom, which is reflected in the children-voice studies conducted by young researchers. The paper begins with background regarding society, culture, and schooling, continues on to describe related studies in this field, and ends with a rethinking of current research. The conclusion is that the studies were hampered both by an inherited culture of inertia and cynicism towards students＇ voices and by a dysfunction in research methodology.

Women and the Transnational Dynamics of Science Education in Early Twentieth Century China:A Quiet Revolution

This article explores both the personal and transnational dimensions of domestic science education and study abroad for the pioneering generation of Chinese women in science.By focusing on women’s unique calculus of risk and reward,the article not only distinguishes Chinese women’s experiences from those of their male counterparts but also delineates the special contours of the Chinese case within the global advancement of women in science.The article begins by outlining some of the features and dynamics of early Chinese girls’schools that affected students’interest in and preparation for further scientific study.Then it traces the emerging college-level opportunities that made it possible for women who were studying science in China to contemplate advanced work overseas.Turning to study abroad,the article highlights the radicalness of the decision to study abroad by examining the impact of both family background and national circumstances on Chinese women’s strategies of mobility.The article argues that if we are to take women’s experiences seriously,we cannot just look at scientific pursuits in terms of achievements in the development of Chinese science,we also need to consider the ways that·scientific ambitions forced individuals—both male and female—to navigate and reimagine multiple social norms and expectations.

Amazon Kindle for Teaching and Learning Chinese in China's Mainland

As a special milestone of reading revolution, Amazon Kindle has had great success in the market since 2010. This paper discusses its educational significance of teaching and learning Chinese based on a case study in some universities in China's Mainland, then analyzes its advantages and disadvantages comparing with not only the traditional reading media including paper-book, PC （Personal Computer）, mobile device, and others, but also some popular e-book readers such as Hanvon, Nook, or iBooks （iPad, iPod touch, and Macbook）, with especial interests on the compatibility of Chinese characters. Some important issues which comprise the resource, copyright, price, Chinesization, and interaction are discussed in the essay as well. Though it has not been widely accepted by the majority in China's Mainland, even less popular in the field of teaching Chinese, now it is worth paying attention. To catch up with the new technology tendency with its superiority, Amazon Kindle plays a more and more important role in teaching and learning Chinese and is changing the educational custom nowadays. A new look of paperless education prospect is to be anticipated in the consumption era.

Fostering Intercultural Awareness in a Chinese English Reading Class

Since the turn of the century, higher education policy in China has highlighted the importance of cultivating students＇ intercultural competences, particularly in the context of English language teaching. In spite of this, studies show that to this day Chinese ELT classrooms in higher education have rarely taken a cultural turn and teachers＇ understanding of interculturalism remains insufficient. This paper reports an action research study on how intercultural awareness was developed in the context of an English reading course at an independent college of a major Chinese university. The study followed a teaching flow that integrates intercultural learning with critical thinking by challenging students to select, analyze, and raise questions about English texts on aspects of Chinese culture. Mapping the outputs of a cohort of 77 second-year undergraduate students onto Baker＇s （2012; 2015） model of intercultural awareness, the study shows that a majority of participants demonstrated a level beyond basic awareness. The paper concludes that reading courses can be used to help foster intercultural awareness among Chinese students, and it offers some pedagogical and theoretical reflections on integrating intercultural learning with ELT, and formulates a number of suggestions for further studies.
