According to conventional biochemical method, physiological-biochemical test showed that DX01 and DX02 could produce acids and gases in the presence of mannitol, lactose, glucose and maltose, and did not ferment sucrose, reactions of sodium citrate, urea, V-P, hydrogen sulfide and gelatin were negative, while reactions of indole, M-R and nitrate were positive, which were in accordance with the characteristics of colibacillus; and JX01 and JX02 both fermented mannitol, sucrose, glucose, maltose, and did not ferment lactose, reactions of indole, M-R, V-P, hydrogen sulfide and gelatin were negative, while the reaction of nitrate was positive, which were in accordance with the characteristics of Pasteurella. 16S rDNA detection and sequencing showed that JX01 and JX02 shared 100% homology with Pas- teurella. The animal inoculation test of isolated bacteria showed that the mice in the experiment groups all died within 2 d. Original cultures were isolated from dead mice. DX01 and DX02 were identified as colibacillus, JX01 and JX02 were identified as Pasteurella, and the death of diseased rabbits was caused by mixed infection of pasteureUosis and colibacillosis. Drug sensitive test showed that DX01 and DX02 were only sensitive to kanamycin, ofloxacin and sulfamethoxydiazine, and not sensitive to other drugs, and JX01 and JX02 were sensitive to ofloxacin, sulfamethoxydiazine, gentamicin, furazolidone, doxycycline, streptomycin, trimoxazole and spectinomycin, and were moderately sensitive to cefradine. Ofloxacin and sulfamethoxydiazine are preferable for the clinical treatment of this disease.展开更多

Under condition of captive breeding, the occurrence of diseases has also become more and more frequent in bamboo rats. In this paper, the results of mor- phological and biochemical studies showed that the cultural and biochemical charac- teristics of isolated strains are basically the same, and they all have strong pathogenicities to bamboo rats. The disease was diagnosed to be caused by the mixed infection of Escherichia coil and Arthrinium saccharico/a, and it was controlled by corresponding measures.展开更多

The clinical symptoms in ill foxes included depression, poor appetite or appetite loss, rough, disorder and dull hair, standing inability, trembling, sunken eyes, decreased skin elasticity, dehydration and loose stools around the anus. When the abdomens of ill foxes were pressed, white or yellow manure flew out from the anuses, and some of the manures contained mucus or blood. The pathological changes included liver enlargement with necrotic lesions, spleen enlargement, lung hemorrhage, kidney enlargement with bleeding spots, thymus hemorrhage and intestinal catarrhal inflammation. The epidemic was finally identified as colibacillosis through clinical symptoms observation, pathological anatomy, biochemical tests and 16 SrRNA amplification.展开更多

Methods:Using molecular techniques such as Siebert PCR for walking from the int gene of prophage 297, which is similar to that of phage 933W to an unknown region in genomic DNA. A special adaptor is ligated to the ends of DNA fragments generated by digestion of genomic DNA with restriction enzymes that generates blunt ended fragments. Clone and subclone of PCR products, DNA sequencing and data analysis were used in this study. Results:The attL, attR and the core sequences were determined. The bacterial attachment site of phage φ297 was located in the yecE gene of E. coli K12. Conclusion:The phage φ297 integrates into the yecE gene of the E. coli K12 genome.展开更多
