To show the distribution of a temperature field on a steel disk and to prolong the service life of a friction pair in a Hy-dro-Viscous Drive (HVD) device, a theoretical model of a transient temperature field was estab...To show the distribution of a temperature field on a steel disk and to prolong the service life of a friction pair in a Hy-dro-Viscous Drive (HVD) device, a theoretical model of a transient temperature field was established, based on the theory of heat conduction. This theoretical model was solved using a finite element method. The results show that the surface temperature of the steel disk does not increase consistently as a function of the radius; the highest temperature appears short of the maximum radius. The relationship between the surface temperature and the mixed friction time is exponential. With a friction time of 15 s, the tem-perature reached 465.9 °C. Simultaneously, the internal thermal stress is larger than the yield stress of the material, causing a warping deformation of the steel disk. The largest axial deformation is 0.32 mm. The results of the experiment suggest that the de-formation is the same as that obtained from numerical simulation. Therefore, deformation of the steel disk must be considered dur-ing the study of the characteristics of a HVD.展开更多

An analog of the Large Helical Device (LHD) stellarator design, with linear dimensions increased by a factor of 1.5 is taken for the magnetic system. Plasma parameters and the deuterium-tritium (DT) mixture fusion power are calculated using the space-time numerical code under the assumption of the neoclassical transport in the ambipolarity regime. The use of the kinetic energy generated by human body motion drives the wheel swing and the generator, it can carry out mobile phone additional charge through the electronic components rectifier and DC/DC converter regulator, the use of human motion and light energy can extend a fixed charge mobile phone standby time. The human motion power uses electromagnetic coupling technique and collects energy by using foot swing, solar power generation uses DSP chip in TMS320F28927 control a plurality of charging circuit, inverter circuit and solar maximum power point tracking by sampling and multiple output PWM wave. The neural ...A prototype of hybrid neural recording interface has been developed for extracellular neural recording. It consists of a silicon-based plane microelectrode array and a CMOS low noise neural amplifier chip. The neural amplifier chip is designed and implemented in 0.18 μm N-well CMOS 1P6M technology. The area of the neural preamplifier is only 0.042 mm2 with a gain of 48.3 dB. The input equivalent noise is 4.73 btVrms within pass bands of 4 kHz. To avoid cable tethering for high dense mul- tichannel neural recording interface and make it compact, flip-chip bonding is used to integrate the preamplifier chip and the microelectrode together. The hybrid device measures 3 mm×5.5 mm×330μm, which is convenient for implant or in-vivo neu- ral recording. The hybrid device was testified in in-vivo experiment. Neural signals were recorded from hippocampus region of anesthetized Sprague Dawley rats successfully.展开更多
Objective: The treatment of subtrochanteric fractures is challenging and treatment modalities and implants are constantly evolving. This study attempts to revisit and compare extramedullary vs. intramedullary devices...Objective: The treatment of subtrochanteric fractures is challenging and treatment modalities and implants are constantly evolving. This study attempts to revisit and compare extramedullary vs. intramedullary devices in relatively young population. Methods: Thirty patients with subtrochanteric fractures were enrolled and treated with extramedullary or intramedullary devices and follow-up continued one year for clinico-radiological assessment. Results: The mean age of patients was 37,53 years. Most were males between 21-40 years. The dominant mode of injury was traffic accidents (66%). Fractures were classified according to Russell-Taylor classification. Forty percent were Russell-Taylor type IA, 37% type IB and 23% type IIA. Average time to surgery was 3.6 days from the time of admission to hospital. Mean duration of surgery was 45 minutes for intramedullary device (group A) and 105 minutes for extramedullary device (group B). Average blood loss was 100 ml in group A and 200 ml in group B. Mean duration of radiation exposure was 130 seconds and 140 seconds for groups A and B, while average duration of hospital stay was 12 days and 16 days respectively. Excellent results were seen in 47% of cases in group A and 33% of cases in group B. Conclusion: Intramedullary device is a reliable implant for subtrochanteric fractures. It has high rates of union with minimal soft-tissue damage. Intramedullary fixation has biological and biomechanical advantages, but surgery is technically demanding. Gradual learning and patience is needed to make this method truly rewarding.展开更多

Up to now, most theoreti...The developing tendency of continuous-variable (CV) measurement-device-independent (MDI) quantum cryptography is to cope with the practical issue of implementing sealable quantum networks. Up to now, most theoretical and experimental researches on CV-MDI QKD are focused on two-party protocols. However, we suggest a CV-MDI multipartite quantum secret sharing (QSS) protocol use the EPR states coupled with optical amplifiers. More remarkable, QSS is the real application in multipartite CV-MDI QKD, in other words, is the concrete implementation method of multipartite CV-MDI QKD. It can implement a practical quantum network scheme, under which the legal participants create the secret correlations by using EPR states connecting to an untrusted relay via insecure links and applying the multi-entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state analysis at relay station. Even if there is a possibility that the relay may be completely tampered, the legal participants are still able to extract a secret key from network communication. The numerical simulation indicates that the quantum network communication can be achieved in an asymmetric scenario, fulfilling the demands of a practical quantum network. Additionally, we illustrate that the use of optical amplifiers can compensate the partial inherent imperfections of detectors and increase the transmission distance of the CV-MDI quantum system.展开更多
