Its specialty is to innovate, through biological solutions with the vision of the future, once there is a strong demand of food and beverages free of chemical residues and with lower employing of these substances along the production chain by several consumers. The innovative products are generated from microorganisms tested regarding its capacity to promote yield protection, pests and disease control, acceleration of the desmucilage waste water treatment, and improvement of process of faster solubilization, that depends on natural phosphate fertilizers. The goal of this article is to approach the activities that have been developed in this start-up and the knowledge about biocontrol and natural antimicrobials produced by fungi resulting in innovative products to attend the world claim for products free of chemical residues of any kind and harmless to the consumers, environment and workers.展开更多
One quarter scale experiment device of a typical L-shape architecture structure including a burning room and an adjacent hallway is established to carry out the research.The smoke characteristics at the sampling point...One quarter scale experiment device of a typical L-shape architecture structure including a burning room and an adjacent hallway is established to carry out the research.The smoke characteristics at the sampling points below the ceiling of the burning compartment and the roof of the hallway are studied systematically to find out the effects of different ceilings on the local fire origin compartment and the smoke transportation to a remote area.A series of tests is reported and the smoke residence time,the concentration peak and the concentration build up rate are investigated as functions of the type of the ceiling.The smoke residence time,the most important factor concerning smoke toxicity,is described by a novel concept,wavelength,in this study.Furthermore,it is worth emphasizing that the PVC ceiling exhibits a phenomenon of frequent collapse during the fire developing period.The single heat action is conducted to judge the smoke and the heat effect on the fire risk.展开更多
A reliable method for detecting nanoparticles is necessary for the wide application of nanomaterials. Single particle-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(SP-ICP-MS) was investigated to detect the size of gold...A reliable method for detecting nanoparticles is necessary for the wide application of nanomaterials. Single particle-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(SP-ICP-MS) was investigated to detect the size of gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) in this work. Discrimination of particle signal and iterative algorithm were used to calculate the baseline of particle signal. Influence of dwell time was discussed and 3 ms was selected as dwell time for size detection. Different Au NPs standards(30, 60, 80 and 100 nm) and mixed samples(60 and 100 nm) were determined by SP-ICP-MS and the accuracy was confirmed with reference values. The particle size detection limit was 19 nm in ultrapure water(UP water) and 31 nm in 0.1 μg/L Au^(3+) solution. Stability of Au NPs in ultrapure water and natural water samples was investigated by detecting size variation of AuN Ps. The result shows that Au NPs are stable in aqueous environment for 6 d but degraded after 30 d.展开更多
