A dye-sensitized photocatalyst combining Pt-loaded TiO_(2) and Ru(Ⅱ)tris-diimine sensitizer(RuP)was constructed and its activity for photochemical hydrogen evolution was compared with that of Pt-intercalated HCa_(2)Nb_(3)O_(10) nanosheets.When the sacrificial donor ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA)disodium salt dihydrate was used,RuP/Pt/TiO_(2) showed higher activity than RuP/Pt/HCa_(2)Nb_(3)O_(10).In contrast,when NaI(a reversible electron donor)was used,RuP/Pt/TiO_(2) showed little activity due to back electron transfer to the electron acceptor(I_(3)-),which was gener-ated as the oxidation product of I-.By modification with anionic polymers(sodium poly(styrenesulfonate)or sodium polymethacrylate)that could inhibit the scavenging of conduction band electrons by I_(3)-,the H_(2) production activity from aqueous NaI was improved,but it did not exceed that of RuP/Pt/HCa_(2)Nb_(3)O_(10).Transient absorption measurements showed that the rate of semiconductor-to-dye back electron transfer was slower in the case of TiO_(2) than HCa_(2)Nb_(3)O_(10),but the electron transfer reaction to I3-was much faster.These results indicate that Pt/TiO_(2) is useful for reactions with sacrificial reductants(e.g.,EDTA),where the back electron transfer reaction to the more reducible product can be neglected.However,more careful design of the catalyst will be nec-essary when a reversible electron donor is employed. 展开更多

The random delays in a networked control system (NCS) degrade control performance and can even destabilize the control system.To deal with this problem,the time-stamped predictive functional control (PFC) algorithm is proposed,which generalizes the standard PFC algorithm to networked control systems with random delays.The algorithm uses the time-stamp method to estimate the control delay,predicts the future outputs based on a discrete time delay state space model,and drives the control law that applies to an NCS from the idea of a PFC algorithm.A networked control system was constructed based on TrueTime simulator,with which the time-stamped PFC algorithm was compared with the standard PFC algorithm.The response curves show that the proposed algorithm has better control performance. 展开更多

Pt‐loaded graphitic carbon nitride(g‐C_(3)N_(4))is known to be a good photocatalyst for H_(2) evolution under visible light.In most cases,however,sacrificial electron donors such as triethanolamine are required for the water‐splitting operation,and nonsacrificial H_(2) evolution by g‐C_(3)N_(4) remains a challenge.In this work,we investigated the photocatalytic activities of carbon nitride nanosheet(NS‐C_(3)N_(4)),which was prepared by thermal treatment of urea,for nonsacrificial H_(2) evolution using reversible electron donors under visible light(λ>400 nm).Whereas Pt‐loaded NS‐C_(3)N_(4) did not produce H_(2) from aqueous solutions containing I−,Fe^(2+),or[Fe(CN)_(6)]^(4−),modification of the Pt/NS‐C_(3)N_(4) photocatalyst with CrO_(x) led to observable H_(2) evolution.Transmission electron microscopy observations and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopic analysis suggested that a Pt‐core/CrO_(x)‐shell structure was formed on the NS‐C_(3)N_(4).The CrO_(x)/Pt/NS‐C_(3)N_(4) served as a H_(2)‐evolution photocatalyst for visible‐light‐driven Z‐scheme overall water splitting,in combination with a modified WO_(3) photocatalyst,in the presence of a[Fe(CN)_(6)]^(3−/4−)redox mediator. 展开更多

The deteriorating water quality in the Taihu Lake Basin has attracted widespread attention for many years, and is correlated with a sharp increase in the quantity of pollutant discharge such as agricultural fertilizers and industrial wastewater. In this study, several factors were selected for evaluating and regionalizing the water environmental capacity by ArcG1S spatial analysis, including geomor- phologic characteristics, water quality goals, water body accessibility, water-dilution channels, and current water quality. Then, the spa- tial optimization of agriculture and industry was adjusted through overlay analysis, based on the balance between industrial space and water environmental capacity. The results show that the water environmental capacity gradually decreases from the west to the east, in contrast, the pollution caused by industrial and agricultural clustering is distributes along Taihu Lake, Gehu Lake and urban districts. The analysis of the agricultural space focuses on optimizing key protected areas of the Taihu Lake Basin, and the shores of Gehu Lake, optimally adjusting the second protected areas of the Taihu Lake Basin, and generally adjusting the urban areas of Changzhou and Wuxi cities. The analysis of industrial space focuses on optimizing the downtowns of Changzhou and Wuxi cities, optimally adjusting key protected areas and second protected areas of the Taihu Lake Basin, and generally adjusting the south and southwest of Gehu Lake. Lastly, some schemes of industrial and agricultural layouts and policies for the direction of industrial and agricultural development were proposed, reflecting a correlation between industry and agriculture and the water environment. 展开更多

CO2 is not only the most important greenhouse gas but also an important resource of elemental carbon and oxygen.From the perspective of resource and energy strategy,the conversion of CO2 to chemicals driven by renewable energy is of significance,since it can not only reduce carbon emission by the utilization of CO2 as feedstock but also store low-grade renewable energy as high energy density chemical energy.Although studies on photoelectrocatalytic reduction of CO2 using renewable energy are increasing,artificial bioconversion of CO2 as an important novel pathway to synthesize chemicals has attracted more and more attention.By simulating the natural photosynthesis process of plants and microorganisms,the artificial bioconversion of CO2 can efficiently synthesize chemicals via a designed and constructed artificial photosynthesis system.This review focuses on the recent advancements in artificial bioreduction of CO2,including the key techniques,and artificial biosynthesis of compounds with different carbon numbers.On the basis of the aforementioned discussions,we present the prospects for further development of artificial bioconversion of CO2 to chemicals. 展开更多

The fact that outburst traffic in industrial Ethemet was focused on that would bring self-similar phenomenon leading to the delay increase of the cyclical data, and a hybrid priority queue schedule model was proposed in which the outburst data was given the highest priority. Some properties of the self-similar outburst data were proved by network calculus, and its service curve scheduled by the switch was gained. And then the performance of the scheduling algorithm was obtained. The simulation results are close to those calculated by using network calculus model. Some results are of actual significance to the construction of switched industrial Ethernet. 展开更多

【Objective】To optimize the steam explosion process condition for extracting polysaccharides from Pseudostellaria heterophylla.【Method】The effects of steam pressure,pressure-maintaining time and material moisture c... 【Objective】To optimize the steam explosion process condition for extracting polysaccharides from Pseudostellaria heterophylla.【Method】The effects of steam pressure,pressure-maintaining time and material moisture content on the extraction of polysaccharides from Pseudostellaria heterophylla were studied by response surface methodology based on Box-Behnken design.【Result】The findings showed that each factor could significantly affect the test index,and the optimum condition was as follows:steam pressure 1.50 Mpa,pressuremaintaining time 46 s and material moisture content 46%.Under this condition,the verified experimental value of polysaccharides from Pseudostellaria heterophylla was 39.32%,indicating a relative standard deviation of 2.73%from the predictive value.Meanwhile,scanning electron microcopy(SEM)images showed that the surface physical structure of Pseudostellaria heterophylla was irregularly broken and cracked,which means the physical structure of Pseudostellaria heterophylla was changed and destroyed at the cellular level.【Conclusion】This experiment provides a new approach for the extraction of polysaccharides from Pseudostellaria heterophylla,as well as a reference for the resource utilization of Pseudostellaria heterophylla. 展开更多

To test the pulse signal of initiating explosive device (IED) in an aircraft,a multi-channel equivalent system for IED based on Gigabit Ethernet transmission is designed according to its electrical parameters. The output voltage of multi-channel equivalent circuit is converted by analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Then the validity of the converted signal is judged by field programmable gate array (FPGA). Finally,it is transmitted the host computer through Gigabit Ethernet for waveform displaying. Compared with the traditional equivalent equipment of IED,the designed system here can not only test the validity of the pulse signal and normal operation of equivalent circuit,but also realize fast and reliable analysis of pulse signal by means of Gigabit Ethernet. For example, the heavy water eutrophication in Taihu Lake has affected the source of drinking water for the cities around the lake. Anyway, in order to keep the economic increase and reduce the resource ex- pense and pollution at the same time, it is necessary to encourage the greening of industrial enterprises actively for sustainable de- velopment. On the basis of the investigation of industrial enter- prises in Wuxi city within Taihu Basin, the relatively developed region in coastal China, this paper analyzed the development process of green industry. This article concluded that governmen- tal principal is the main pressure for enterprises to protect envi- ronment while the market factor plays a part role. Moreover, en- terprises in the high technology development zone work better in environmental protection than those in the villages and towns, while the large enterprises work better than those small enterprises. 展开更多

Geoengineering (also called climate engineering), which refers to large-scale intervention in the Earth's climate system to counteract greenhouse gas-induced warming, has been one of the most rapidly growing areas ... Geoengineering (also called climate engineering), which refers to large-scale intervention in the Earth's climate system to counteract greenhouse gas-induced warming, has been one of the most rapidly growing areas of climate research as a potential option for tackling global warming. Here, we provide an overview of the scientific background and research progress of proposed geoengineering schemes. Geo- engineering can be broadly divided into two categories: solar geoengineering (also called solar radiation management, or SRM), which aims to reflect more sunlight to space, and carbon dioxide removal (CDR), which aims to reduce the CO2 content in the atmosphere. First, we review different proposed geoengineering methods involved in the solar radiation management and carbon dioxide removal schemes. Then, we discuss the fundamental science underlying the climate response to the carbon dioxide removal and solar radiation management schemes. We focus on two basic issues: 1) climate response to the reduction in solar irradiance and 2) climate response to the reduction in atmospheric COe. Next, we introduce an ongoing geoengineering research project in China that is supported by National Key Basic Research Program. This research project, being the first coordinated geoengineering research program in China, will systematically investigate the physical mechanisms, climate impacts, and risk and governance of a few targeted geoengineering schemes. It is expected that this research program will help us gain a deep understanding of the physical science underlying geoengineering schemes and the impacts of geoengineering on global climate, in particular, on the Asia monsoon region. 展开更多

Accurate basic data are necessary to support performance-based design for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutral targets in the building sector.Meteorological parameters are the prerequisites of building thermal engineering design,heating ventilation and air conditioning design,and energy consumption simulations.Focusing on the key issues such as low spatial coverage and the lack of daily or higher time resolution data,daily and hourly models of the surface meteorological data and solar radiation were established and evaluated.Surface meteorological data and solar radiation data were generated for 1019 cities and towns in China from 1988 to 2017.The data were carefully compared,and the accuracy was proved to be high.All the meteorological parameters can be assessed in the building sector via a sharing platform.Then,country-level meteorological parameters were developed for energy-efficient building assessment in China,based on actual meteorological data in the present study.This set of meteorological parameters may facilitate engineering applications as well as allowing the updating and expansion of relevant building energy efficiency standards.The study was supported by the National Science and Technology Major Project of China during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period,named Fundamental parameters on building energy efficiency in China,comprising of 15 top-ranking universities and institutions in China. 展开更多

Effects of solar radiation modification on the ocean carbon cycle:An earth system modeling study 被引量:1

Solar radiation modification(SRM,also termed as geoengineering)has been proposed as a potential option to counteract anthropogenic warming.The underlying idea of SRM is to reduce the amount of sunlight reaching the atmosphere and surface,thus offsetting some amount of global warming.Here,the authors use an Earth system model to investigate the impact of SRM on the global carbon cycle and ocean biogeochemistry.The authors simulate the temporal evolution of global climate and the carbon cycle from the pre-industrial period to the end of this century under three scenarios:the RCP4.5 CO_(2) emission pathway,the RCP8.5 CO_(2) emission pathway,and the RCP8.5 CO_(2) emission pathway with the implementation of SRM to maintain the global mean surface temperature at the level of RCP4.5.The simulations show that SRM,by altering global climate,also affects the global carbon cycle.Compared to the RCP8.5 simulation without SRM,by the year 2100,SRM reduces atmospheric CO_(2) by 65 ppm mainly as a result of increased CO_(2) uptake by the terrestrial biosphere.However,SRM-induced change in atmospheric CO_(2) and climate has a small effect in mitigating ocean acidification.By the year 2100,relative to RCP8.5,SRM causes a decrease in surface ocean hydrogen ion concentration([H^(+)])by 6% and attenuates the seasonal amplitude of[H^(+)]by about 10%.The simulations also show that SRM has a small effect on globally integrated ocean net primary productivity relative to the high-CO_(2) simulation without SRM.This study contributes to a comprehensive assessment of the effects of SRM on both the physical climate and the global carbon cycle. 展开更多

A two-meter parabolic solar concentration dish has been modulated to produce boiled water over 100℃ for various purposes of central heating services. For an effective performance, the system required both continuous exposure of the dish to sunlight during the day time as well as to an electric control circuit (tracking system). The amount of the potable water was dependent particularly on the accurate centering of the system which could increase upon preheating. This system has therefore been possible to heat up water at home via increasing the temperature in hot tank by both covering the hot water tank and isolating it from the surroundings using insulators. Applications of a successful parabolic solar concentration has also been designed to provide desalinated water for domestic usage which operates with temperatures higher than other types of the solar radiation for the future. 展开更多

The microfabrication technique for THz dipole antenna,"lift-off" was studied in this paper.Its procedure has been examined in detail,and discreetly tweaked.Particularly,Chlorobenzene is suggested to assist the formation of undercut indispensible for fulfilling "lift-off".The experimental results of fabricated antennas confirm the effectiveness of this method. 展开更多
