Relationship between Phytoplankton Distribution and Environmental Factors in the Chukchi Sea 被引量:3

Based on the samples collected from the Chukchi Sea during the FCNARE cruise from July to August in 1999 with the "Xuelong", the research vessel of SOA, China, the relationship between the distribution characterization of phytoplankton and environmental factors was analyzed with Primer 5.2 software. The result showed that the assemblages of phytoplankton in Chukchi Sea can be divided into three ecological groups: Arctic-boreal group, distributed mostly in northeastern ice-edge where the depth is more than 2 000 m and affected directly by Arctic Ocean; Boreal group, distributed in shelf-break ice in the center water where the depth is less 100 m; Eurythermal group, mainly distributed in the south which exchanged with North Pacific water through Bering Strait. The species diversity, cell density and distribution variability of phytoplankton among stations were great different. The range of phytoplankton density among stations was 1.6 × 10^3- 90 680.2 × 10^4 cells/m^3, and the ranges of diversity index and evenness index among stations were 0.07 - 0.87 and 0.33 - 3.82, respectively. Principal components analysis (PCA) showed that temperature and salinity had made important roles in the distribution of phytoplankton in the Chukchi Sea. Furthermore, the different influences of the variant water regimes, and the extremely dynamic physical nature of the drifting pack ice (e.g. packing, breaking up and melting ) introduce short-term variability into the water conditions that no doubt affect the phytoplankton distrubition. 展开更多

Aim In order to improve the solubility of azithromycin, the objectives of the present study were to screen an appropriate salt for azithromycin by comparing acute hepatic and renal toxicities in animals, and study the pharmacokinetics of final chosen azithromycin salt. Methods Various salts of azithromycin, such as glutamate, citrate, hydrochloride, sulphate, dihydrogen phosphate, lactobionate, tartrate, and aspartate were given intravenously to Sprague Dawley rats at a dose of 10 mg once daily for 14 consecutive days via tail vein. The acute hepatic and renal indicators were measured before and after administration. A pharmacokinetic study was performed on 12 healthy human volunteers. The subjects were equally divided into two groups by a randomized crossover design. Azithromycin glutamate injection was administered by intravenous infusion or intramuscular injection at a single dose of 500 mg, respectively. Azithromycin concentrations in plasma were determined by microbial inhibition zone assay, and the pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated using a practical pharmacokinetic software 3P87 program. Results Azithromycin glutamate was least toxic to the liver and kidney of the rats, thus being selected as a final salt for parenteral preparation of azithromycin. Pharmacokinetic results showed that the area under the plasma concentration-time curves (AUC0-120h) were 21.47 ± 1.57 h·μg·mL^-1 for intravenous infusion, and 19.36 ± 2.44 h·μg·mL^-1 for intramuscular injection. The absolute bioavailability of intramuscular injection was 92.59%. Conclusion Azithromycin glutamate is suitable for the future clinical application, and its pharmacokinetics is characterized in human volunteers in the present study. 展开更多

The tool of combinatorial biosynthesis provides the possibility to produce "unnatural" natural drugs, which has achieved initial success. This paper provides an overview for the strategies of combinatorial biosynthesis in producing the structural and functional diversity of polyketides, including the redesign of metabolic flow, polyketide synthase(PKS) engineering, and PKS post-translational modification. Although encouraging progress has been made in the last decade, challenges still exist regarding the rational combinatorial biosynthesis of polyketides. The seasonal variations in biomass, abundance, and species composition of plankton in relation to hydrography were studied in the saline Bange Lake, northern Tibet, China. Sampling was carried out between one to three times per month from May 2001 to July 2002. Salinity ranged from 14 to 146. The air and water temperature exhibited a clear seasonal pattern, and mean annual temperatures were approximately 4.8℃ and 7.3℃, respectively. The lowest water temperature occurred in winter from December to March at-2℃ and the highest in June and July at 17.7℃. Forty-one phytoplankton taxa, 21 zooplankton, and 5 benthic or facultative zooplankton were identifi ed. The predominant phytoplankton species were Gloeothece linearis, Oscillatoria tenuis, Gloeocapsa punctata, Ctenocladus circinnatus, Dunaliella salina, and Spirulina major. The predominant zooplankton species included H olophrya actra, Brachionus plicatilis, Daphniopsis tibetana, Cletocamptus dertersi, and A rctodiaptomus salinus. The mean annual total phytoplankton density and biomass for the entire lake were 4.52×10^7 cells/L and 1.60 mg/L, respectively. The annual mean zooplankton abundance was 52, 162, 322, and 57, 144 ind./L, in the three sublakes. The annual mean total zooplankton biomass in Lakes 1–3 was 1.23, 9.98, and 2.13 mg/L, respectively. The annual mean tychoplankton abundances in Bg1, 2, and 3 were 47, 67, and 654 ind./L. The annual mean tychoplankton biomass was 2.36, 0.16, and 2.03 mg/L, respectively. The zooplankton biomass(including tychoplankton) in the lake was 9.11 mg/L. The total number of plankton species in the salt lake was signifi cantly negatively correlated with salinity. 展开更多

This case is the same as it in art, different time and spaces, the characters appear in a scene in a picture, and we distinguish them with a series of symbols to convergence in each scene. In recent years, peculiar physical phenomena enabled by non-Hermitian systems, especially the parity-time(PT)-symmetric systems, have drawn tremendous research interests. Particularly, special spectral degeneracies known as exceptional points(EPs) and coherent perfect absorber-laser(CPAL) points where zero and infinite large eigenvalues coexist are the most popular topics to be studied. To date, the discussions of EPs that serve as transition boundaries between broken PT-symmetry phase and exact PT-symmetry phase have been intensively presented. However, the theoretical analysis and experimental validations of CPAL points are inadequate. Different from EPs, CPAL points, as a special solution of broken PT-symmetry phase, may exhibit even further counterintuitive physical features, which may have significant implications to study non-Hermitian physics. Here, we review some recent advances of CPAL phenomena in different sub-disciplines of physics, including optics, electronics and electromagnetics, and acoustics.Additionally, we also provide an envision of future directions and applications of CPAL systems. 展开更多
