In the leading position was local Dongyi and Qi cultural elements respectively in Phases Ⅰ and Ⅱ and Phase Ⅲ. Judging from the earth-rammed building-foundations and tombs of higher ranks, the site may have been Gaiyi City mentioned in literary records.
