The generator consists of multiple tunneling junctions (MTJ) and a hybrid single electron transistor (SET)/MOS output circuit. It is an oscillator-based RNG. MTJ is used to implement a high-frequency oscillator, which uses the inherent physical randomness in tunneling events of the MTJ to achieve large frequency drift. The hybrid SET and MOS output circuit is used to amplify and buffer the output signal of the MTJ oscillator. The RNG circuit generates high-quality random digital sequences with a simple structure. The operation speed of this circuit is as high as 1GHz. The circuit also has good driven capability and low power dissipation. This novel random number generator is a promising device for future cryptographic systems and communication applications.展开更多

Besides the matter effects derived by Wolfenstein, there may exist extra terms due to a unitary evolution of the system between pure and mixed states, so the evolution equation is modified obviously. We show that the extra terms may play some role and induce observable effects in solar neutrino problem, especially, in the long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments which are under serious consideration recently, if the parameters fall into a suitable region.展开更多

The linear inversion method, which has been given priority in previous research on the IP information extraction method, has three main problems as follows: 1) dependency on the initial model, 2) easily falling into the local minimum, and 3) serious non-uniqueness of solutions. Taking the nonlinearity and nonconvexity of IP information extraction into consideration, a two-stage CO-PSO minimum structure inversion method using compute unified distributed architecture (CUDA) is proposed. On one hand, a novel Cauchy oscillation particle swarm optimization (CO-PSO) algorithm is applied to extract nonlinear IP information from MT sounding data, which is implemented as a parallel algorithm within CUDA computing architecture; on the other hand, the impact of the polarizability on the observation data is strengthened by introducing a second stage inversion process, and the regularization parameter is applied in the fitness function of PSO algorithm to solve the problem of multi-solution in inversion. The inversion simulation results of polarization layers in different strata of various geoelectric models show that the smooth models of resistivity and IP parameters can be obtained by the proposed algorithm, the results of which are relatively stable and accurate. The experiment results added with noise indicate that this method is robust to Gaussian white noise. Compared with the traditional PSO and GA algorithm, the proposed algorithm has more efficiency and better inversion results.展开更多

Firstly, in the high energy limit, we find that the phase along the geodesic keeps the double of that along the null. Secondly, we calculate the phase on the condition that the cosmological constant, A, is a small quantity. The correction of the phase due to A is given. Finally, we calculate the proper oscillation length in Schwarzschild-de Sitter space-time, which increases because of the existence of A, compared with the result in Schwarzschild space-time. All of our results can be reduced to those in Schwarzschild space-time as A approaches to zero.展开更多

We carefully calculate the non-spectator contributions at the quark level, where the Cabibbo-suppressed diagrams are also included. The hadronic matrix elements are evaluated in the simple non-relativistic harmonic oscillator model. Our numerical results are generally consistent with that obtained by other authors who used the diquark model. However, all the theoretical predictions on the lifetimes are one order larger than the upper limit set by the recent SELEX measurement. This discrepancy would be clarified by the future experiment. If more accurate experiment still confirms the value of the SELEX collaboration, there must be some unknown mechanism to be explored.展开更多

The random phase assumption is employed neglecting the thermal motion of the electrons with respect to a fixed ion background. It is found that the gravitomagnetic force reduces the characteristic frequency of the plasma thus enhancing the refractive index of the medium. The estimates for the predicted effects are given for a typical white dwarf, pulsar, and neutron star.展开更多

Prediction equations are established using optimization subset regression. The results show that a linear increasing trend is very significant and seasonal change is obvious. The power load exhibits significant quasi-weekly (5 – 7 days) oscillation, quasi-by-weekly (10 – 20 days) oscillation and intraseasonal (30 – 60 days) oscillation. These oscillations are caused by atmospheric low frequency oscillation and public holidays. The variation of Guangdong daily power load is obviously in decrease on Sundays, shaping like a funnel during Chinese New Year in particular. The minimum is found at the first and second day and the power load gradually increases to normal level after the third day during the long vacation of Labor Day and National Day. Guangdong power load is the most sensitive to temperature, which is the main affecting factor, as in other areas in China. The power load also has relationship with other meteorological elements to some extent during different seasons. The maximum of power load in summer, minimum during Chinese New Year and variation during Labor Day and National Day are well fitted and predicted using the equation established by optimization subset regression and accounting for the effect of workdays and holidays.展开更多
