To get the deterministic solution, it has been assume...Some cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous viscous fluid string cosmological models with magnetic field and cosmological term A varying with time are investigated. To get the deterministic solution, it has been assumed that the expansion (θ) in the model is proportional to the eigen value σ^11 of the shear tensor σ^ij. The value of cosmological constant for the model is found to be small and positive, which is supported by the results from recent supernovae Ia observations. The effect of bulk viscosity is to produce a change in perfect fluid and hence exhibits essential influence on the character of the solution. The physical and geometric properties of the models are also discussed in presence and absence of magnetic field.展开更多
Because the small CACHE size of computers, the scanning speed of DFA based multi-pattern string-matching algorithms slows down rapidly especially when the number of patterns is very large. For solving such problems, w...Because the small CACHE size of computers, the scanning speed of DFA based multi-pattern string-matching algorithms slows down rapidly especially when the number of patterns is very large. For solving such problems, we cut down the scanning time of those algorithms (i.e. DFA based) by rearranging the states table and shrinking the DFA alphabet size. Both the methods can decrease the probability of large-scale random memory accessing and increase the probability of continuously memory accessing. Then the hitting rate of the CACHE is increased and the searching time of on the DFA is reduced. Shrinking the alphabet size of the DFA also reduces the storage complication. The AC++algorithm, by optimizing the Aho-Corasick (i.e. AC) algorithm using such methods, proves the theoretical analysis. And the experimentation results show that the scanning time of AC++and the storage occupied is better than that of AC in most cases and the result is much attractive when the number of patterns is very large. Because DFA is a widely used base algorithm in may string matching algorithms, such as DAWG, SBOM etc., the optimizing method discussed is significant in practice.展开更多

It...The class of bi-directional optimal velocity models can describe the bi-directional looking effect that usually exists in the reality and is even enhanced with the development of the connected vehicle technologies. Its combined string stability condition can be obtained through the method of the ring-road based string stability analysis. However, the partial string stability about traffic fluctuation propagated backward or forward was neglected, which will be analyzed in detail in this work by the method of transfer function and its H∞ norm from the viewpoint of control theory. Then, through comparing the conditions of combined and partial string stabilities, their relationships can make traffic flow be divided into three distinguishable regions, displaying various combined and partial string stability performance. Finally, the numerical experiments verify the theoretical results and find that the final displaying string stability or instability performance results from the accumulated and offset effects of traffic fluctuations propagated from different directions.展开更多
The paper presents researches on increasing the energetic & economic efficiency of the photovoltaic (PV) conversion by designing and optimizing a dual-axis tracking mechanism that simultaneously changes the positio...The paper presents researches on increasing the energetic & economic efficiency of the photovoltaic (PV) conversion by designing and optimizing a dual-axis tracking mechanism that simultaneously changes the position of the modules using two motor sources. The driving source for the daily motion is a rotary motor, while the elevation motion is performed with a linear actuator. The main task in optimizing the tracking mechanism is to maximize the energetic gain by increasing the solar input and minimizing the energy consumption for tracking. The design strategy aims to identify the optimum angular field for the daily motion, as well as the optimum actuating time in the step-by-step motion. The study is made by developing the virtual prototype of the tracking mechanism, in the mechatronic concept. The virtual prototyping platform includes the following software solutions: CATIA (Computer Aided Tri-Dimensional Interface Application)--to create the solid model, which contains information about the mass & inertia properties of the parts, ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems)/View--to model the mechanical structure of the solar tracker, and EASY5 & ADAMS/Controls-for the control system design.展开更多
