The results show that by properly adding a 125 nm ultraviolet pulse to the orthogonal two-color field, not only the harmonic yield is enhanced by 2 orders of magnitude compared with the original orthogonal two-color field case, but also the single short quantum path, which is selected to contribute to the harmonic spectrum, results in an ultrabroad 152 eV bandwidth. Moreover, by optimizing the laser parameters, we find that the harmonic enhancement is not very sen- sitive to the pulse duration and the polarized angle of the assisted ultraviolet pulse, which is much better for experimental realization. As a result, an isolated pulse with duration of 38 as can be obtained, which is 2 orders of magnitude improvement in comparison with the original two-color orthogonal field case.展开更多

Starting from the homogeneous balance method, we find that the richness of the localized coherent structures of the model is caused by the entrance of two variable-separated arbitrary functions. For some special selections of the arbitrary functions, it is shown that the localized structures of the model may be dromions, lumps, breathers, instantons and ring solitons.展开更多

These grey-grey screening-photovoltaic soliton pairs can be established provided that the incident beams have the same polarization, wavelength, and are mutually incoherent. In this paper, to understand the role of nonlinear dispersion in pattern formation, a family of the regularized long-wave Boussinesq equations with fully nonlinear dispersion (simply called equations), ( const.), is studied. New solitary wave solutions with compact support of equations are found. In addition we find another compacton solutions of the two special cases, equation and equation. It is found that the nonlinear dispersion term in a nonlinear evolution equation is not a necessary condition of that it possesses compacton solutions.展开更多

The research results indicated that the supercontinuum spectrum generated by two orthogonally polarized pulses is wider and flatter than that generated by single polarized pulse due to cross-phase modulation. The cross-phase modulation effect can enhance the supercontinuum spectrum generation. When the pump power of the input pulse is lower, the enhancement of supercontinuum spectrum generation by cross-phase modulation effect is more significant.展开更多

It is shown that the positive dispersion of the cladding waveguide of TIRPCF and the negative dispersion of its core waveguide are quickly increased by the square of the collision non-elastic composition between the electron and photons, and they are lessened by the increase of the electron absorption photon number. Under the one-photon nonlinear Compton scattering, the method of the compensated probing laser diffraction by the phase hole induced by the stationary pumping laser in the cladding waveguide enables the average dispersion value of TIRPCF to be close to zero, and the zero dispersion point quickly shifts to the short wavelength region.展开更多

We show that the phase-matching condition for the TWRI can be satisfied by a suitable selection of the wavevectors and the frequencies of the three exciting modes involved in the TWRI. Then, with help of the CNLSE (coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations) ,the effects of PMD on DMS (dispersion managed soliton) transmission is studied with a variational method. The simplified relationships of the statistical parameters of second-order and first-order of PMD in dispersion management system have been gotten, from which the detailed information of second-order can be obtained, if the condition of DGD is given. The results have shown that the first and second-order PMD (polarization mode dispersion) vectors influence the evolution of energy and Mean square of time displacement of DMS in high-speed bit rates systems. When DPMD^1st〉0.3 ps/km^1/2 ,we must consider some means of control(for example the filter) to restrain the PMD.展开更多
