The purpose of college English teaching is to enable students to master certain basic knowledge and skills in English, with some listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation ability, a simple verbal and written communication in daily activities and foreign business activities. Modem information technology provides a strong tecbaaical support to achieve this goal. Multimedia teaching methods widely used in teaching activities to vocational English class have brought a series of profound changes. For this purpose the author used questionnaire as research instrument. Data as a value to interest, word of mouth and family background variables, was gathered from high school students in Jakarta metropolitan. Further, data was analyzed using multiple groups on Lisrel software. Result shows that there＇s difference on the influence of word of mouth on computer/IT career interest based on family background. Model relationship between word of mouth and student interest towards computer/IT is moderated by parent education and birth order.展开更多

Meanwhile, tourism has attracted increasing attention as a high value-added service and a hot academic topic. However, the research on how to provide tour services based on context-aware services is in fact still at an early stage, limited to concept elaboration, service framework discussion, prototype system development etc. In this paper, we summarized the previous researches on context-aware services to establish the research foundation, put forward a way of analyzing a tour planning problem with a modified model of Traveling Salesman Problem （TSP） and Vehicle Routing Problem （VRP）, and we applied an innovated Resource Constrain Project Scheduling Problem （RCPSP） mathematical model to solve the tour planning problem based on context information. The investigation was conducted by the method of survey and gathering information through the application of teachers＇ Attitudes Questionnaire to Computers derived from the instrument ＂Teachers＇ Attitudes Toward Computers＂ of Christensen and Knezek （1996） to the total teachers with a law degree who work at the institute. The dimensions involved in the questionnaire were： liking/utility, email, frustration/anxiety, learning/productivity, and negative impact. The results projected in the study reflected that teachers have a positive attitude （medium to favorable） with respect to computers and emails. In addition, the results showed the absence of teachers＇ feelings of anxiety, nervousness, or fear towards using computers.展开更多

This paper, based on field research, presents an assessment of the dynamics of FMIS in organizational context for a better understanding of such systems in forestry organizations. The paper also investigates the success of FMIS in assisting decision makers in achieving organizational goals. Based on the knowledge developed during the course of the study, key learning elements have been highlighted for the benefit of the stakeholders in information systems in forest sector.展开更多

In 2006, China issued its National Plans for Medium and Long-term Development of Science and Technology （2006-2020） （NPMLDST）. Since 2006, there has been a rapid increase in the number of citations of China＇s interna- tional papers in the field of communications. In accordance with the goals listed in the NPMLDST, China needs to over- take several competitors by 2020 to be among the top five countries in the field of natural science field. By comparing two Essential Science Indicators （ESI） （i.e., the total number of citations and the number of citations per paper） for China and other countries, China＇s annual growth rate is found to exceed that of other influential countries in the field of sci- ence and technology, and exhibits evident growth-type characteristics. Besides, our study also shows that the short- age of high-quality academic papers in China is the main obstacle to improving the impact of China＇s academic publications.展开更多
