However, not all factors affecting language learning are positive, but there are also some negative and hindering elements, which are often referred to as “demotivation”. At the junior high school in China, it is common for students to face the problem of demotivation when learning English, which has a negative effect on their English education in many ways. The purpose of this study is to investigate the specific situation of students’ English learning, to analyze the various causes of motivation loss in the process of foreign language learning, and to seek effective methods and strategies to alleviate students’ motivation loss. Through such an inquiry, we expect to provide practical suggestions and guidance for improving the English learning effect of junior high school students.展开更多
