During the stage teachers should learn about students' learning motives and the beginners' psychological state to rouse students' interest and mobilize their initiatives so that students can change from passive learning to active learning. The purpose of this preliminary study was to examine the difference in cognitive performance between college students with and without ADHD and to explore the effects of acute exercise on multiple aspects of executive functions and on serum brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Methods: College students (normal: n = 10; ADHD: n = 10) performed the Stroop Test, Trail Making Test, and Digit Span Test prior to and after an acute exercise intervention. Blood samples were obtained prior to the pre-test cognitive test performance and then again after exercise and prior to the post-test cognitive test performance. Results: Students with ADHD exhibited impaired executive functions, particularly on inhibition. Additionally, while acute exercise improved all aspects of executive functions in those without ADHD, acute exercise only improved inhibitory performance for those with ADHD. Further, BDNF was not influenced by acute exercise regardless of the subjects' ADHD status. Conclusion: These results provide preliminary evidence for exercise as a potential adjunct treatment for benefitting inhibition in college students with ADHD.展开更多

Current research suggests, however, that as students persist in this activity their situational interest decreases as their ability to exercise consistently at moderate intensity levels increases. In this article I will briefly review the literature citing benefits of exergaming and the role of exergaming in contemporary PE curricula before turning to the question of the place of exergaming in a learning- oriented approach to PE. I will suggest that exergaming, when taught within a situated learning framework, can contribute to student under- standing of the effects of exercise on their bodies and may produce meaningful lessons to assist students to create, monitor, and adapt a fitness plan to participate in life long exercise using a variety of physical activities. By tracing a group of students for four years in a Chinese university and conducting qualitative analyses to their oral narrations of learning experiences at different periods, the study has found that most participants started and ended their university life at relatively high levels of agency, with inevitable ups and downs in between. Agency fluctuations in the learners are the result of their identity positioning and repositioning within a complex and ever-changing context. Concordant or conflicting identities may co-exist within an individual learner and keep changing across different situations. Learner identities will cause increase or reduction in their investment in English learning, while their learning experience will in turn reinforce or undermine their identities. The study sheds light on the intricate relationships between agency, identity and language learning and therefore has important implications for English learning and teaching in China.展开更多

The research mainly traces revision process of 100 sophomore students using traditional paperwork practice and smart-phone-based revision methods during half semester of grammar learning. During the research, students' learning performances, as well as their self-report reflections, are recorded, compared, and analyzed. Statistics from the research show that students in general prefer the m-learning revision methods than the traditional paper ones. Besides, the modem methods do play an essential role in motivating students' learning initiatives, and thus resulting in better learning outcomes. However, on the other hand, some of the students surveyed also demonstrate their negative impression on the m-learning methods, in that they believe this modem technology can inevitably distract them from learning and there are also some technical problems to be worked out.展开更多

In current college English teaching, it exists module, single and dogmatic and a series of disadvantage trends, taking comprehensive practice activities as the carrier to improve college English teaching efficiency, which has a multiplier effect. This paper first analyzes the importance of comprehensive practical activities in college English teaching activities, and then it proposes a set of practicable activity strategies, hoping to play a valuable role.展开更多

The traditional physical education is to become a vibrant so that life becomes boring exercises. The students' passive learning is for active participation, so that physical exercise achieves sterile body, sterile heart function, rich life, regulating mood, emotional exchange, harmonious sense of community for students to experience the joy of sports environment to promote the development of students' physical and mental health.展开更多

Project teaching is a student-centered, inquiry-centered practice, with project activities centered learning model. Project teaching students focus on learning strategies to help students become independent learners, to improve students' motivation to help students learn practical ability, communication skills, collaboration skills, creative thinking skills and the ability to solve practical problems. Project-based learning in the late 1990s was introduced in China. Within ten years, research project studying abroad connotation, significance and theoretical foundation, extension are applied research to classroom practice. However, most of the research object of the project is teaching primary and secondary students, higher education, adult education and general higher education students in science and engineering students. Research related to the field of English teaching is not much; the theory is applied to the case of teaching practice rarely. Therefore, this article introduced the project teaching college English classroom, through the implementation of the teaching aims to stimulate the enthusiasm of the students, so that students learn more explicit goals, enhance self- confidence and motivation to learn, to develop their creativity, initiative and independent learning and the purpose of learning ability.展开更多
