The model was then calibrated and verified. Four scenarios (S1, S21, S22 andS23) were simulated using the model. Results show that the water quality of the Miyun Reservoirunder conditions of low surface water level is apparently affected by different amounts of inflowand different total phosphorus (TP) loadings. The chlorophyll-a concentration might exceed 10 μg/Lin many areas of the Miyun Reservoir (This limitative value is seen as a critical value ofeutrophication) when large loadings of TP enter due to the amount of inflow increasing. Results ofscenario S23 indicate that control of TP loadings can decrease chlorophyll-a concentrationeffectively, and the water quality of the Miyun Reservoir will improve or retain its status quo.展开更多
To overcome the deficiencies of high computational complexity and low convergence speed in traditional neural networks, a novel bio-inspired machine learning algorithm named brain emotional learning (BEL) is introdu...To overcome the deficiencies of high computational complexity and low convergence speed in traditional neural networks, a novel bio-inspired machine learning algorithm named brain emotional learning (BEL) is introduced. BEL mimics the emotional learning mechanism in brain which has the superior features of fast learning and quick reacting. To further improve the performance of BEL in data analysis, genetic algorithm (GA) is adopted for optimally tuning the weights and biases of amygdala and orbitofrontal cortex in BEL neural network. The integrated algorithm named GA-BEL combines the advantages of the fast learning of BEL, and the global optimum solution of GA. GA-BEL has been tested on a real-world chaotic time series of geomagnetic activity index for prediction, eight benchmark datasets of university California at Irvine (UCI) and a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) dataset for classifications. The comparisons of experimental results have shown that the proposed GA-BEL algorithm is more accurate than the original BEL in prediction, and more effective when dealing with large-scale classification problems. Further, it outperforms most other traditional algorithms in terms of accuracy and execution speed in both prediction and classification applications.展开更多

Although his use of the commercial serves his purpose, Zizek only dedicates one paragraph to it. This work significantly expands Zizek's initial interpretation by (1) contextualizing the commercial's plotline via comparison to other, similar mythological plots; (2) examining how the visual arrangement and narrative structure work to construct gender; and (3) addressing beauty via the Lacanian "demand" and "desires" made manifest within the text.展开更多
This article attempts to analyze, through a re-reading of the present sociological literature on the organization (that explores the organizations themselves in terms of "tacit" rather than "explicit", "socio-cu...This article attempts to analyze, through a re-reading of the present sociological literature on the organization (that explores the organizations themselves in terms of "tacit" rather than "explicit", "socio-cultural systems" rather than "socio-technical systems"), the main intangible components that may affect the organizational live and all the organizing in general for the good or the evil, with respect to the "success" rather than the "failure" of the "in and out" organizational acting. There are then some sorts of "basic assumptions", deemed indispensable, also because they are still there and live in organizations but they do not always have a careful importance. Therefore the objective of the article is to describe them highlighting their salience and attempt to define parameters for further in-depth studies.展开更多
Ambiguous expression is a common phenomenon in facial expression recognition(FER).Because of the existence of ambiguous expression,the effect of FER is severely limited.The reason maybe that the single label of the da...Ambiguous expression is a common phenomenon in facial expression recognition(FER).Because of the existence of ambiguous expression,the effect of FER is severely limited.The reason maybe that the single label of the data cannot effectively describe complex emotional intentions which are vital in FER.Label distribution learning contains more information and is a possible way to solve this problem.To apply label distribution learning on FER,a label distribution expression recognition algorithm based on asymptotic truth value is proposed.Under the premise of not incorporating extraneous quantitative information,the original information of database is fully used to complete the generation and utilization of label distribution.Firstly,in training part,single label learning is used to collect the mean value of the overall distribution of data.Then,the true value of data label is approached gradually on the granularity of data batch.Finally,the whole network model is retrained using the generated label distribution data.Experimental results show that this method can improve the accuracy of the network model obviously,and has certain competitiveness compared with the advanced algorithms.展开更多
