韩贞的学教人生与他的历史贡献

韩贞是明时泰州兴化人,泰州学派平民学生中的代表性人物。韩贞出身贫寒,世代为陶。青年时期曾慕朱恕而从之学,后卒业于王艮之子王襞。卒业后回乡以倡导化俗为任,一边参加劳动,一边于秋成农隙之时聚徒讲学,一边坚持童蒙教育。韩贞苦志清修、品行高尚,他承继并实践泰州学派的主张坚持以明道化人为己任,既为中国的平民教育作出了积极的贡献,也为中国的平民教育提供了有益的经验。

Construction and Implementation of Practice Teaching System of English Major in Local Normal Universities

English practice teaching has outstanding superiority over the extension and supplementation of English classroom teaching, and practice teaching is an indispensably important part of college English teaching. To students, cultivation of the ability of practice is vital, affecting students＇ employment and future. To universities, teaching quality has a direct impact on the development prospect of schools and decides the future of schools. Moreover, local normal universities also undertake a more important task to cultivate local high-quality talents teaching primary and junior high schools. These teaching talents undertake the great task of English teaching over primary and junior high school students, and thus the construction and implementation of practice teaching system of English major in normal universities are urgent.

Attitude of nursing students towards Internet-based nursing services for the aged

Objective To investigate the attitude,willingness,and motivation of third-year undergraduate nursing students from a university of Chinese medicine toward Internet-based nursing services for the aged(IBNSA),providing a reference for its development and related nursing education.Methods This study was conducted from March to April 2019.Using a self-designed questionnaire,this cross-sectional study comprised 508 third-year undergraduate nursing students from a university of Chinese medicine.The questionnaire was divided into two parts.The first part contained the general information of nursing students.The second part investigated nursing students’attitudes,willingness,and motivation towards IBNSA(a total of seven questions).Results Of the 508 nursing students,314(61.81%)expressed support for the IBNSA,44(8.66%)expressed disapproval.Regarding career choice,279(54.92%)were willing to choose IBNSA,51(10.04%)were unwilling.The top three motivations for choosing IBNSA as a nursing student career were increased income,high autonomy and flexibility,and good job prospects.On the contrary,the top three reasons not to choose this option were safety concerns,lack of time and energy,and unwillingness to undertake elderly care.Experience with community activities or a part-time job,experience with elderly care,willing to choose the nursing profession,willing to engage in nursing care after graduation,and willing to engage in nursing for elderly patients after graduation were significantly associated with the motivation of nursing students to participate in IBNSA(P<0.05).Conclusion The majority of nursing students have a positive attitude towards IBNSA and are willing to choose it as their future career.Nurses’and patients’safety guarantees and salary distribution were critical factors influencing their choice.Nursing schools should pay attention to the concerns of nursing students,constantly improve the management system of IBNSA,strengthen safety education,and provide professional knowledge and skills to improve the quality of personnel training.

Study of Ideological and Political Education of Chinese College Students Based on the Humanistic Care

The paper analyzes the present situation of humanistic care in ideological and political education of Chinese college students, and argues three main problems： ignoring emotional care for students, ignoring dominant position of students, and ignoring individual psychological needs of students.

Management of Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency at Peking Union Medical College Hospital:A Survey among Physicians

Objective To evaluate physicians' attitude and knowledge about the management of adult growth hormone deficiency(AGHD) at Peking Union Medical College Hospital and impact factors associated with better decision-making.Methods A 21-question anonymous survey was distributed and collected at Peking Union Medical College Hospital,a major teaching hospital in Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.Data of physicians' educational background,clinical training,patient workload per year and continuing medical education in AGHD were collected.Factors associated with appropriate answers were further analyzed by multivariate regression models.Results One hundred and eighteen internal medicine residents,endocrine fellows,attending physicians and visiting physicians responded to the survey.Among them,44.9% thought that AGHD patients should accept recombinant human growth hormone replacement therapy.Moreover,56.8% selected insulin tolerance test and growth hormone-releasing hormone-arginine test for the diagnosis of AGHD.Logistic regression analysis of physician demographic data,educational background,and work experience found no consistent independent factors associated with better decision-making,other than continued medical education,that were associated with treatment choice.Conclusions The physicians' reported management of AGHD in this major academic healthcare center in Beijing was inconsistent with current evidence.High quality continued medical education is required to improve Chinese physician management of AGHD.

Ezra Pound＇s Conversion to Confucianism

The paper aims to explore Pound＇s early discovery of Confucianism and his conversion to Confucianism. Pound＇s interest in Confucianism coincided with the time when Christianity, already ＂contaminated＂ by ＂historical diseases＂ in Pound＇s view, could not offer a valid vision by which to guide the spiritual life, resulting in losing self in a modem society. Pound discovers three main deficiencies of Christianity： lack of respect for individuality, the decline of ethics, and open attack upon nature, which could not provide solutions to Western problems. Pound turned to Confucianism to search the existence of modem man in the face of society, and nature, which results in Pound＇s Confucian medicine to cure Western moral obtuseness.

In recent years, especially college students＇ personality distortions continue to occur, it is caused widespread concern of the whole society, to strengthen and shape the health of college students has become an important personality of an urgent work.

Reform of the emphasis on cultivating students＇ practical ability and innovative spirit

Graduate education is the main way of high-level personnel training, present, China has formed a shape of postgraduate training mode for China＇s industries to transport a large number of professionals. A Survey Report about the General Situation of the Students in Adult Higher Medical Education

This survey was implemented, so that the general situation of the students in adult higher medical education is more accurately and comprehensively known, and also adult education and teaching work can be developed in a targeted way. 193 students attending adult education junior college participated in this survey, and the surveyed details included the general situation of student sources, the ideological trends, and the degree of the cognition on the majors, the degree of the recognition on teaching, the employment concept, and the problems in the current jobs. By a statistical analysis, a foundation is further laid for the effective work of adult higher medical education.

Construction and Exploration of the Practical Education Mode ——Foreign Language Majors in Colleges and Universities

Social practice is an indispensable component of talents cultivation in universities and a necessary approach to lead students＇ rapid self=development. As one of the applications of Social practice of talents cultivation, practical education in universities refers to a fresh new university education mode： the coordinated development of teaching, managing and serving in universities. Research on Human Capital and Higher Education Based on the Perspective of Employment of College Students

The status of human capital should match economic development. Researching the unemployment of college students firstly needs to know about the economic development stage and economic structure in China. Employment of college students not only is the problem of unbalanced supply and demand of college students, but also has close relationship with supply-demand relationship of higher education market. Employment of college students has relationship with two markets, education market and labor market, in which higher education supply is middle. For two markets, the decision-making subject make the optimal decision according to the principle that marginal income is equal to marginal cost. Under the specific economic development stage and economic structure in China, the family has greater requirement on higher education in education market, and the supply of higher education is insufficient. For labor market, economic development is difficult to fully absorb the existing college graduates, and the supply of higher education is excess. The imbalance of two markets causes the increase of supply pressure of higher education and idle human resource.

A Study on Student-Centered Language Pedagogy Based on Humanism

Although it is common for Chinese students to learn English for many years, they are still confronted with problems when it comes to communicating with people in English. Lack of working hard, necessary learning context, and interest does play a part; however, the problem really lies mostly in teaching process, so, to improve the quality of learning, teachers should bear more responsibilities and do more to bring humanism to English class and enhance student-centeredness. To achieve this goal, teachers should know more about students＇ learning styles so as to apply different approaches to students with different learning styles. What is more, priority should be given to analysis of learners＇ needs as well as preferences, on the basis of which a curriculum can be developed to meet the needs of a particular group of students. Finally, improvement of learner autonomy will lead to the shift of learning responsibilities from teacher to students, thus achieving student-centered learning ultimately.

The Various Description of Biodiversity in Compulsory Education Textbooks

We intend to establish how species diversity is dealt with, within the study of the ecosystem, in books for the 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education, ESO （15-16 year-old students）. The analysis was carried out using a key issues dossier based on school science, which not only provides a description of reality, but also introduces a theoretical explanatory framework. Regarding species diversity, we focused on the descriptive approach, considering the link between diversity and trophic relationships, ecological succession and ecosystem stability through change, consequences for biodiversity of human activities and mechanisms to face such consequences; and on the explanatory perspective, which provides an interpretative answer for all the aspects previously mentioned. The findings drawn from textbooks show that biodiversity is linked both to the study of the ecosystem and to the impact of human societies on its maintenance. However, such study is particularly focused on the descriptive, rather than on the explanatory level. So, teachers should improve the study of biodiversity foresting a balance between descriptive and explanatory level.

The Development of Mathematical Modelling Activities from Thematic Projects in the Social-Critical Perspective

In this paper, the authors present a modelling activity developed from a thematic project in the models and mathematical modelling class of the professional master＇s degree program in mathematics education at the Federal University of Ouro Preto. The students enrolled in the class chose to study the theme Brazilian Public Politics. After several debates regarding the theme, the students were separated into three groups and each group chose a subtheme to study. The themes were IDH （index of human development）, minimum wage and social security. As an example, a description of the thematic project about the minimum wage in Brazil is presented. The principal results obtained in the study of this theme include a discussion about the potentialities of the theme as a classroom activity in different levels of schooling. As an educational activity, the thematic project demonstrated itself to be greatly relevant, since not only did it provide the learning possibility of mathematics related to the issues studied, but also promoted various discussions regarding the theme, which, in our conception, contributes to the social-critical development of the students. Finally, from the point of view of applied mathematics and mathematics education, the development of a modelling activity from thematic projects showed itself to be a good source of researches.

The Study of the Effect of Educational Level of Students and English Language Teachers＇ Awareness on True and False Cognates in Iran

The ability to speak two languages in the non-English-speaking countries is a remarkable achievement. There is a good reason to believe that bilingualism is the norm for the majority of people in the world, because 70% of the earth＇s population are supposed to be bilingual or multilingual. Our purpose of the study was to determine the participants＇ awareness of using true and false cognate words of L 1 （the first language） ＆ L2 （the second language） in learning English. Three hundred and eighty-five selected people from 3,789 statistical population participated in 2014--2015 at three levels of A.D., B.A., and M.A. of Islamic Azad University as well as teachers of English in English educational institutions in Zanjan （Iran）. Each educational level was considered as one category with the total sample calculated by using Kokran Formula, and the amount of each category was determined by using appropriate proportion and randomized categorical sampling method. The participants＇ age was between from 18 to 52, with a mean age of 29 years. The materials were 45 words of true and false cognate＇s words from 500 words by doing CVR （content validity ratio） and CVI （content validity index） （Lawshe＇s table with the index of 88% and 82% respectively） for being reliable and valid. ANOVA （Analysis of variance） was used for studying the effect of educational level on the rate of awareness. In other words, the awareness level has been compared in different educational levels. The results of Dankan test show that： There is no significant difference between the awareness of A.D., B.A., and M.A. levels, but there is a significant difference between the level of awareness of teachers group and the other groups （in true cognate words） and for false cognate words, there is no significant difference between the level of awareness of the four groups in this regard.

The Changing Landscape of Higher Education in Libya

The development of Higher Education has expanded greatly across the Arab world and this is certainly evident in Libya, where 24 new universities have been established in a four-year period. By 2025, there will be half a million university students, double the current numbers. To cope with this rapid expansion, a huge building programme has been implemented, resulting in modern, purpose-built structures dominating the sky line and bringing a new dimension to the traditional environment. Interviews with students, staff, and management from two universities show that, apart from the impact this expansion has had on the physical landscape, there have also been cultural and political changes. Libyan university staff have been sent on scholarships to English speaking countries to improve their language skills as all teaching is carried out through the medium of English. There has consequently been an acute shortage of teaching staff resulting in foreign workers being recruited from Asia and the Middle East. The curriculum has been modified and traditional Libyan society is resistant to new methodology. None of this has been helped by political changes and developments. Possible solutions for the future of quality Higher Education provision in Libya include continuing professional development programmes for staff, quality assurance, improvement of resources, training in modern technology and an approach to education to help break down the barriers between generations

On Mechanisms of Human Behavior： The ＂Mind Blindness Phenomenon＂ in Philosophy, Religion, Science, and Medicine

The phenomenon described here has no scientific title, but occurs frequently in daily living, from science to philosophy, religion, and medicine. In every field of human endeavor, when a view is expressed, sharp and profound differences of opinion ensue. Initially, we coin this phenomenon as ＂understanding blindness＂ or ＂mind＇s awareness.＂ Thereafter, we decide to refer to it as ＂mind blindness,＂ a concept introduced to science by Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, who coins it for a cognitive disorder associated with autism, Asperger＇s syndrome, and schizophrenia. Baron-Cohen＇s usage has subsequently been extended to dementia, bi-polar disorders, antisocial personality disorders, and even normal aging. In our view, definition and identification of ＂mind blindness＂ in philosophy, religion, science, medicine, and at end-of-life care can help mankind to better understand mechanisms of human behavior, and the causes of conflicts, controversies, contradictions, and sharp differences of opinion in human life, and even to solve some of them.

The First Student International Olympiad on Mechanism and Machine SciencemThe Challenge in MMS Education

One of important tasks of IFToMM is attraction of youth attention to profound study of mechanism and machine science. To solve this task, special youth programs are developed, various discounts are provided for young researchers＇ participation in IFToMM congresses and conferences. A new progressive type of such an activity is organization of Student International Olympiads （SIO） on Mechanism and Machine Science （MMS） which can be considered a new advantageous form of MMS study. The paper describes experiences of organization and holding the first SIO MMS, which took place on April 19-21,2011 in Izhevsk （Russia） at Izhevsk State Technical University.

Research on the Physical Teaching Model in Cultivating Students＇ Innovative Ability

As we all know, innovation is the soul for a nation＇s progress. As talent training educational institutions, there is no reason to ignore the importance of innovation. During the teaching process, it＇s of great important to develop the overall quality of the students, including morality, intelligence, physic, aesthetics, and labor. Physical education, as a task of the course of education, to a great extent, has the responsibility and obligation to develop students＇ ability for innovation. As regard to the education and instruction of creative ability, it must go through a complete change from the ideological level. We need to enhance students＇ enthusiasm for sports. By learning the basic knowledge of sports, as well as teaching and learning of motor skills, students will be developed in the ability of independent thinking and creation.
