学术“对手方”与钱穆的清学史研究

清末民初,中华民族遭遇"三千年未有之大变局",内忧外患接踵而至。一代学人思以学术救国,"用国粹激励种姓,增进爱国的热肠",有关中华传统学术文化的探究遂靡然而兴。作为中华学术穴结时代的清代学术骤成聚焦所在,章太炎、刘师培、梁启超、胡适、钱穆等望风响应,成一时之盛。章太炎以《訄书·清儒》篇着其先鞭,刘师培、梁启超踵趾相接,而钱穆后来居上,洵为20世纪前半叶清学史研究之重镇。考察钱穆清学史研究的学思历程,不难发现隐然有一"对手方"横亘心间。此"对手方"主要以梁启超为靶向,职是之故,钱穆的清学史论述每每针对梁启超的观点而发。正是在这种学术争锋竞逐中,不唯钱穆个人的清学史研究越前贤而上,后出转精,整个20世纪前半叶的清学史研究亦成就卓著,令人景仰。探寻钱穆清学史研究的此一面向,不仅有助于深入理解其个人学术生命史,亦有助于更具象地呈现20世纪前半叶清学史研究的盛况和人文学术创新发展的一般规律。

Perceptual Models of Art students and Its Enlightenment on English Teaching

Art students, as a whole, have a variety of learning style of sensory receivers. The Variety of learning styles requires the variety of teaching strategies. The analysis of learners＇ learning styles is one of the factors on which the design of learning strategies should be based. Matching teaching strategies and mismatching strategies are chosen intentionally according to the teaching contents, the teaching goals, and the learner＇s learning styles. Matching teaching strategies can reach the best result of teaching and learning. On the contrary, mismatching strategies can remedy the disadvantages caused by learning styles and be helpful for the development of learning styles.

Patterns of local recurrence in rectal cancer after a multidisciplinary approach

Improvements in surgery and the application of combined approaches to fight rectal cancer have succeeded in reducing the local recurrence (LR) rate and when there is LR it tends to appear later and less often in isolation. Moreover, a subtle change in the distribution of LRs with respect to the pelvis has been observed. In general terms, prior to total mesorectal excision the most common LRs were central types (perianastomotic and anterior) while lateral and posterior forms (presa-cral) have become more common since the growth in the use of combined treatments. No differences have been reported in the current pattern of LRs as a function of the type of approach used, that is, neo-adjuvant therapies (short-term or long-course radiotherapy, orchemoradiotherapy versus extended lymphadenectomy, though there is a trend towards posterior or presacral LR in patients in the Western world and lateral LR in Asia. Nevertheless, both may arise from the same mechanism. Moreover, as well as the mode of treatment, the type of LR is related to the height of the initial tumor. Nowadays most LRs are related to the advanced nature of the disease. Involvement of the circumferential radial margin and spillage of residual tumor cells from lymphatic leakage in the pelvic side wall are two plausible mechanisms for the genesis of LR. The patterns of pelvic recurrence itself (pelvic subsites) also have important implications for prognosis and are related to the potential success of salvage curative approach. The re-operability for cure and prognosis are generally better for anastomotic and anterior types than for presacral and lateral recurrences. Overall survival after LR diagnosis is lower with radio or chemoradiotherapy plus optimal surgery approaches, compared to optimal surgery alone.

Thermal conductivity of dielectric nanowires with different cross-section shapes

Non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to investigate the effect of the cross-section shape on the thermal conductivity of argon nanowires. Some typical cross-section shapes, such as triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon and circle, axe carefully explored. The simulation results show that with the same cross-sectional area of the regular polygons, tim thermal conductivities decrease with the reduction of the sides of the polygons, and the thermal conductivity of the circular nanowire is larger than those of the other polygonal ones. Phonon gas kinetic theory is used to analyse the phonon transport in nanowires, and the concept of equivalent diameter is proposed to illustrate the characteristic dimension of the none-circulax cross-section.

How to Teach Academic Reading More Effectively： Reading-Aloud Approach

In furtherance of their most recent research on the textbook of the course LC （language and communication） 4001 Reading Skills Development in English for Graduate Studies （2012）, the co-authors carried out a follow-up work on read-aloud approach as some students voiced a sense of dissatisfaction with regard to such means which was primarily used in the LC 4001 class taking place from August 8 to November 27, 2012. In the current study, the data were garnered from 37 students enrolling in LC 4001 from January 8 to May 7, 2013. Based on the questionnaire, the findings revealed that a large number of the English reading learners acknowledged the mounting importance of English as a linguafranca in the region of 84% and 16% at the ＂most＂ and ＂much＂ levels, respectively. Likewise, around 90% of the participants had a positive attitude toward such pedagogical method, while only 10% disliked it. Concerning the academic reading curriculum for higher English reading competence, students＇ different language learning backgrounds and personal excitement caused by reading-aloud activities should be taken on board. Any activity introduced into the classroom should be explicitly stated to the students at the beginning of the course. Using any instructional approach without clear explanations or precautions may seriously upset learners partially or even completely obstruct their effective learning

Market Share Model of Price and Advertising Combined Game in Duopoly

The marketing share model of price and advertising in a duopoly market was studied in this paper. Market response curves of price and advertising were presented to calculate the reasonable range based on the market forecast results. The interaction effect of price and advertising was considered,and the game theory was applied to a two-stage price and advertising competition which involved the market share model. A marketing decision support system (MDSS) was developed and simulation data was provided to give the solutions. The operation results show that the leading enterprise makes higher price,spends more on advertising,and earns more profit,while the small-scale enterprise has to lower the price,spend less on advertising,and has slightly higher profit rate. The system is shown to be adaptable to a wide variety of realistic situations.

Materials Development for Adult Learners in Teaching Vocabulary

Considering the special needs and the learning styles of their learners, foreign language teachers should use the most effective methods or approaches which are appropriate for their teaching strategies. Redundant or a diverse range of teaching techniques are not meant to use in the process of their learners＇ acquiring new vocabulary items; instead, the most effective and to the point teaching techniques in terms of each language skill should be employed. Efficiency of language learners in terms of their command of the vocabulary can be assessed through their understanding any reading or listening context and managing to be productive in speaking or writing procedures in language acquisition process. Phonological, morpho-syntactic, or socio-pragmatic positions of new lexical items as well as the learners＇ learning styles and multiple intelligences should all be taken into consideration by language teachers so that their learners could really reach an efficient level of vocabulary power. This efficiency has been identified as having a language passport in terms of the proficiency level of the learners within the CEFR （Common European Framework of Reference） for Languages by all EU countries in recent years. Foreign language teachers should try very hard to supply their learners with the required qualifications in every language skill so that they can have a linguistic identity both in their own societies and inter-cultural or multi-cultural contexts. Within this framework, foreign language teachers will hopefully make use of any suggested approach presented in this study so as to widen their learners＇ horizons in language acquisition process.

Buddhism-Among the Theory and Practice

The article tries to bring the issues related to problematic aspects of conceptualization of Buddhism into words closer. The author pays attention to Japanese output of 19th century Japanese idea that grasped Buddhism into the theoretical frames of western philosophy. The attempt of translating Buddhism with terminology taken from European philosophy allowed not only to refresh the general look at Buddhism, but also to bring it closer to western man. By analyzing the western philosophy, we may often come across many aspects closed to Buddhist idea although we must bear in mind the fact that those similarities can often enough create a misrepresentation. The present article as an attempt is to answer the questions： To what degree can we really speak of knowledge of Buddhism being closed in language frames？ Is it possible to get to know Buddhism without its practice, based only on the philosophical studies？

From risk society to audit society

Contrary to what is sometimes claimed, the 2008 banking crisis occurred in an ultra-regulated environment. Legislative and regulatory financial-security regimes have in fact multiplied in recent years. The economic crisis is accelerating the transition of the risk society towards the audit society. But the G20 （Group of Twenty） declarations in Washington and London also reveal a managerial utopia： the march towards a society of confidence or harmony that would make controls superfluous. In this context, the article seeks to call upon philosophical, sociological and managerial references to risk, from Foucault to Power by way of Beck, Giddens ＆ Ewald, to shed light on the official declarations of the leaders of the world＇s main economies. The documentary corpus examined includes all the G20 works published between November 8, 2008 （preparation for the Washington Summit） and April 2, 2009 （conclusions of the London Summit）. The political philosophy underlying the G20＇s works remains fundamentally liberal, even though saving the worldwide market economy involves established security systems as well as self-control and control of others. In the end, the leaders do not decide between reinforcing the existing tools and inventing new systems. The updating of security technologies is meant to serve the preservation of the capitalist managerial utopia. This gives rise to a new variant of Beck＇s risk-society paradigm, too often confined to environmental threats alone, in three phases： （1） The crisis is a consequence of financial modernity and in particular of the inefficiency of regulation in the face of growing sophistication in techniques; （2） To restore confidence, the states and international institutions want, paradoxically, both to reinforce regulation and promote flexibility; （3） Thereupon, flexi-security controlled by worldwide economic governance characterizes the second financial modernity.

Biophysical Substantiation of a Surgical Method of Treatment of a Primary Arterial Hypertension

It is shown that flow of a blood in a passive elastic tube essentially unstable process accompanying with a flutter of a stream. Biophysical principles of neuroreflex regulation of an arterial bloodstream in cardiovascular system are considered. It is shown that this regulation has dual-purpose character： reduction of the hydraulic resistance and maintenance stable no flutter stream of blood. The reasons of a primary arterial hypertension occurrence, and also some accompanying it physical and physiological phenomena are considered. The surgical method of treatment of the primary arterial hypertension, connected with denervation of renal arteries is substantiated.

Radiocarbon ages of different fractions of peat on coastal lowland of Bohai Bay: marine influence?

Peat in boreholes is the most important ^(14)C dating material used for constructing age framework. 20 bulk peat samples were collected from five boreholes, the ^(14)C ages of two fractions(organic sediment fraction and peat fraction) of the bulk peat samples were investigated by AMS-dating and which fraction is better to help construct an age framework for the boreholes were compared and discussed. The results indicated that the peat fraction give a good dating results sequence in the boreholes, compared with the corresponding organic sediment fraction. And the dating results of organic sediment fraction show 161-6 702 years older than corresponding peat fraction, which was caused by marine influence. Then, we suggest an experience formula as y =0.99 x-466.5 by the correlation analysis for correcting the marine influenced organic sediment ages within the conventional ages between 4 000 to 9 000 yrs BP, and more study should be carried out for the AMS ^(14)C dating of the bulk organic sediments.

Authentication based on feature of hand-written signature

The typical features of the coordinate and the curvature as well as the recorded time information were analyzed in the hand-written signatures.In the hand-written signature process 10 biometric features were summarized:the amount of zero speed in direction x and direction y,the amount of zero acceleration in direction x and direction y,the total time of the hand-written signatures,the total distance of the pen traveling in the hand-written process,the frequency for lifting the pen,the time for lifting the pen,the amount of the pressure higher or lower than the threshold values.The formulae of biometric features extraction were summarized.The Gauss function was used to draw the typical information from the above-mentioned biometric features,with which to establish the hidden Markov mode and to train it.The frame of double authentication was proposed by combing the signature with the digital signature.Web service technology was applied in the system to ensure the security of data transmission.The training practice indicates that the hand-written signature verification can satisfy the needs from the office automation systems.

On Learners＇ Perceptions of Taking MOOC in Learning Intercultural Communication （IC） A Case Study of the IC MOOC from SISU

The topic of taking MOOC in learning Intercultural Communication （IC） is an under-researched area, and there has been little empirical research published which focuses on students＇ perceptions. This study explores learner＇s perceptions of taking the MOOC from SISU in learning IC with both a quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, which focuses on students＇ viewpoints about their MOCC learning experience, development in Intercultural Communication Competence （ICC） and their problems in Learning MOOC.

Technology Assisted English Language

This article is about computer/software assisted English language learning. The aim of this article is to provide an overview on what new technologies are in the world in this direction and what kind of benefits it could have if implemented in Georgia. It will argue that incorporating existing and creating new technologies in English language teaching is of crucial importance for developing English language teaching and learning. Firstly, this article will discuss the process of learning a language, where the importance of some aspects/activities will be highlighted. Secondly, the way new technologies support/make it easier to happen in the classroom environment, will be analyzed. This part will also show technologies that concenrate on aiding teaching another language, that could be useful for English language teaching as well. Thirdly, the benefits of bringing these new technologies, that this article will talk about, to Georgian classrooms, will be discussed.
