Objective.To introduce the properties of Chinese type A botulinum toxin(CBTXA,made by Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products),and its long?term effect for focal dystonia and hemifacial spasm.Method.The purity and re...Objective.To introduce the properties of Chinese type A botulinum toxin(CBTXA,made by Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products),and its long?term effect for focal dystonia and hemifacial spasm.Method.The purity and recovery of crude and crystalline toxin were tested.Long?term data from305patients with hemifacial spasm(HFS),blepharospasm(BS)and cervical dystonia(CD)were evalu-ated and subgroups of patients received CBTXA injections between1994and2000in at least six sepa-rate treatment sessions,with follow up for2~8years.The therapeutic results of the last session CBTXA injections were analyzed in comparison with the first session.Result.CBTXA purity was high[(2.55~2.60)×10 7 LD50/mgPr ,A260/A280≤0.55,high molecular substance accounted for99.2%of total proteins].Long term treatment with CBTXA in patients with focal dystonia and HFS was not associated with any decline in benefit,and efficacy may improve slightly with repeat treatments.CBTXA is an excellent long-term treatment of HFS,BS and CD.Conclusion.We conclude that Chinese type A botulinum toxin is of botulinum toxin therapy quality standard according to results obtained from the basic study and long?term clinical applications.The re?injection of CBTXA significantly improves the quality of life of most patients and is a safe,effective and comparatively economical treatment for patients with focal dystonia and HFS.展开更多

Since approval, three cases of acute hepatitis in Austrian noni juice consumers have been published, where a causal link is suggested between the liver dysfunction and ingestion of anthraquinones from the plant. Measurements of liver function in a human clinical safety study of TAHITIAN NONI Juice, as well as subacute and subchronic animal toxicity tests revealed no evidence of adverse liver effects at doses many times higher than those reported in the case studies. Additionally, M. citrifolia anthraquinones occur in the fruit in quantities too small to be of any toxicological significance. Further, these do not have chemical structures capable of being reduced to reactive anthrone radicals, which were implicated in previous cases of herbal hepototoxicity. This article presents the researches conducted on structure selection and behavior characteristics of middle pylon, interaction mechanism between main cables and saddles and their anti-slippage safety performance, elastic and plastic stability analysis and safety assessment of steel middle pylon, and fatigue design load and method for steel pylon of Taizhou Bridge. According to the research results, a longitudinal inverted Y shape steel middle pylon is used in design, effectively solving many technical difficulties, and this type of pylon has become a suitable middle pylon structural form for many three-ovlon two-soan susoension bridges.展开更多
Ceramic electrolytes are important in ceramic-liquid hybrid electrolytes(CLHEs),which can effectively solve the interfacial issues between the electrolyte and electrodes in solid-state batteries and provide a highly e...Ceramic electrolytes are important in ceramic-liquid hybrid electrolytes(CLHEs),which can effectively solve the interfacial issues between the electrolyte and electrodes in solid-state batteries and provide a highly efficient Li-ion transfer for solid–liquid Li metal batteries.Understanding the ionic transport mechanisms in CLHEs and the corresponding role of ceramic electrolytes is crucial for a rational design strategy.Herein,the Li-ion transfer in the ceramic electrolytes of CLHEs was confirmed by tracking the 6Li and 7Li substitution behavior through solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.The ceramic and liquid electrolytes simultaneously participate in Li-ion transport to achieve highly efficient Li-ion transfer in CLHEs.A spontaneous Li-ion exchange was also observed between ceramic and liquid electrolytes,which serves as a bridge that connects the ceramic and liquid electrolytes,thereby greatly strengthening the continuity of Li-ion pathways in CLHEs and improving the kinetics of Li-ion transfer.The importance of an abundant solid–liquid interface for CLHEs was further verified by the enhanced electrochemical performance in LiFePO4/Li and LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2/Li batteries from the generated interface.This work provides a clear understanding of the Li-ion transport pathway in CLHEs that serves as a basis to build a universal Li-ion transport model of CLHEs.展开更多
