The results show that the migrants' domestic income has increased in the last 10 years, which originated from the tncreasing trend of active and extensive rural labor migration, while the resettlement has not influenced the domestic income significantly. The resettlement stimulates younger farmers to work.far away from home whose wages contribute nearly 80% of domestic income, The resettlement decreases their savings due to higher expenditure of daily life for those who work far away from home, and higher expenditure of food for those who stay at home, losing cultivated lands with irrigation system for vegetable. On the other hand. the increase of rural labor migration leads the migrants who stay at home to have access to more cultivated lands for rice and cotton, and the farmers also apply more fertilizer in the same cultivated land for more agriculture products. The resettlement makes most of migrants spend their savings on the improvement of their housing conditions due to not enough governmental financial support for new building. After the analysis, some factors that influence migrants' income and consumption are discussed. The paper may contritbute to the building of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone.展开更多

The environment around the lake has been improved over a period of 10 years. Conservation practices were initiated by communities including the Rupa Lake Restoration and Fishery Cooperative (RLRFC). As a result, an abundance of non-timber Forest Products (NTFP) has increased considerably. At present, 49 NTFP are available in the lake basin. Some households (HH) i.e 10% has additional income from NTFP. It is an indirect source of food security for local people. They sell NTFP products to generate income. A few households have already started farming of NTFPs. Availability of fodder and fuel wood from community forest has significantly contributed to the livelihoods of people where as wild edible fruits and vegetables have become supplementary for food security. There is yearly food security for 57% of HH with 22% having surplus food. 5% of HH has food security for less than three months where as 19% HHs have food security for more than six months. However, livelihood and nutritional security have improved by fish farming in lake. This lake is most important for the local environment and also helps eco-tourism. The study found that 92% observed the climate change in the form of a rise in temperature (〉 70% HHs); unpredictable rainfall (〉 75% HHs); shifting rainfall (〉 60% HHs); phonological changes (〉 50%). It showed that the lake supports the restoration of natural water capacity, maintain local climate and sound environment by better natural resource management for an environment friendly ecosystem.展开更多

Also it is an important section that defines the Smithian-Spathian (S-S) boundary within the Olenekian Stage. The S-S boundary strata at the section are restudied in high-resolution conodont biostratigraphy and carbon isotopes. The refined S-S boundary defined by the FAD of conodont Neospathodus pingdingshanensis is at 30 cm above the base of Bed 52, corresponding to a rapid diversification of conodonts. A sharp positive shift of δ13Ccarb curve co-occurs at the S-S boundary and it can be used as a key reference to define the boundary. The defined S-S boundary position and carbon isotopes curve can be well correlated globally.展开更多

In this study, the carbonate strata in the relatively well-developed Lower Permian Chihsia Formation (located in Chaohu, Lower Yangtze) were targeted, and the formation and influencing factors of source rock were discussed based on paleoenvironment reconstruction using comprehensive sedimentology, palynofacies, and organic geochemistry data. The results demonstrate that the Chihsia Formation is oxygen-deficient biogenic carbonate sediments, with marked variations in the organic and inorganic components, formed during a period of Permian transgression. The formation of source rock is the combined result of high bioproductivity and oxygen-deficient environment generated by transgression and oxygenation events which frequently occurred during transgression periods. Source rock was affected by self-dilution effects and diagenesis, causing its heterogeneous distribution in many intervals. Source rock is over 40 m thick, and can be identified based on its different organic, biological, and mineral composition characteristics. The carbonate rock appears to require no specific clay content in order to become a source rock. The combination of sedimentology, palynofacies, and organic geochemistry has provided an effective means for evaluating and predicting high-maturity carbonate source rock in the region.展开更多
