Based on the theory that distributing the greater roll stiffness to the rear axle can improve tracking trajectory capacity and increase maneuver stability, an eight degrees of freedom vehicle model was established and feedforward feedback control strategy was devised to control distribution of lateral load transfer on the front axle and the rear one. Simulation results showed that the proposed control strategy can improve comfort, maneuver stability and safety effectively.展开更多

The control algorithm for the speed sensorless IM is studied based on the stator flux orientation (SFO). The algorithm structure is simple to be implemented and cannot be influenced by motor parameters, The improved stator flux estimation is used to compensate errors caused by the low pass filter (LPF). A new speed regulator is designed to ensure the system working with the maximal torque in the transient state. The system simulation and the prototype experiment are made. The proposed control scheme with “proportional plus integral” terms is used to improve the convergence rate and the ultimate bound of the tracking error. It is important to note that the adaptive scheme uses lower adaptive gains and smaller control inputs to avoid input saturation and oscillatory behavior. Simulation results are illustrated for controlling a dual inverted pendulum and a multivariable turbofan engine using the proposed adaptive scheme. These simulations validate out conclusions.展开更多

It is composed of three levels, i.e. the supervisor level, coordinator level and leg level. The supervisor level is for the task definition and planning, while the coordinator level does the dynamic stable control and the leg level executes the real-time control command. First, we build the efficient Newton-Euler dynamics equations of the robot. Then, the stability control is realized by properly distributing ground reaction forces applied by the legs. We also use Simplex method to optimize the ground reaction force distribution and verify the control method by experimental and numerical results.展开更多

The parameters of the fuzzy PID controller can be obtained using traditional linear control theory and sliding mode control theory. The simulation experiments were implemented. By decoupling control plane and data plane,Software-Defined Networking(SDN) approach simplifies network management and speeds up network innovations.These benefits have led not only to prototypes,but also real SDN dep...By decoupling control plane and data plane,Software-Defined Networking(SDN) approach simplifies network management and speeds up network innovations.These benefits have led not only to prototypes,but also real SDN deployments.For wide-area SDN deployments,multiple controllers are often required,and the placement of these controllers becomes a particularly important task in the SDN context.This paper studies the problem of placing controllers in SDNs,so as to maximize the reliability of SDN control networks.We present a novel metric,called expected percentage of control path loss,to characterize the reliability of SDN control networks.We formulate the reliability-aware control placement problem,prove its NP-hardness,and examine several placement algorithms that can solve this problem.Through extensive simulations using real topologies,we show how the number of controllers and their placement influence the reliability of SDN control networks.Besides,we also found that,through strategic controller placement,the reliability of SDN control networks can be significantly improved without introducing unacceptable switch-to-controller latencies.展开更多

First, a linear low-frequency motion model with three degrees of freedom was established in the context of a semi-submersible platform. Second, a model predictive controller was designed based on a model which took the constraints of the system into account. Third, simulation was carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of the controller. Based on a tailgate of panel $2205 in ...It is difficult to maintain the roadway around a fault because of the fractured surroundings, complex stress environment, and large and intense deformation in the mining process. Based on a tailgate of panel $2205 in Tunliu colliery, in Shanxi province, China, we investigated the evolution of stress and displace- ment of rocks surrounding the roadway during the drivage and mining period using theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field trial methods. We analyzed the deformation and failure mechanisms of the tailgate near a fault. The deformation of surrounding rock caused by unloading in the drivage period is large and asymmetric, the roadway convergence increases with activation of the fault and secondary fracture develops in the mining period. Therefore, we proposed a specific control technique of the road- way along a fault as follows: (1) High-strength yielding bolt not only supports the shallow rock to load- bearing structures, but also releases primary deformation energy by use of a pressure release device in order to achieve high resistance to the pressure retained: (2) Grouting of near-fault ribside after initial stabilization of the rock deformation is used to reinforce the broken rock, and to improve the integral load-bearing capacity ol~ the roadway. The research results were successfully applied to a field trial.展开更多
