To take into account the influence of uncetainties on the dynamic response of the vibro-acousitc structure, a hybrid modeling technique combining the finite element method(FE)and the statistic energy analysis(SEA) is proposed to analyze vibro-acoustics responses with uncertainties at middle frequencies. The mid-frequency dynamic response of the framework-plate structure with uncertainties is studied based on the hybrid FE-SEA method and the Monte Carlo(MC)simulation is performed so as to provide a benchmark comparison with the hybrid method. The energy response of the framework-plate structure matches well with the MC simulation results, which validates the effectiveness of the hybrid FE-SEA method considering both the complexity of the vibro-acoustic structure and the uncertainties in mid-frequency vibro-acousitc analysis. Based on the hybrid method, a vibroacoustic model of a construction machinery cab with random properties is established, and the excitations of the model are measured by experiments. The responses of the sound pressure level of the cab and the vibration power spectrum density of the front windscreen are calculated and compared with those of the experiment. At middle frequencies, the results have a good consistency with the tests and the prediction error is less than 3. 5dB. 展开更多

In order to analyze power system stability in environment of WAMS(wide area measurement system),a new steady state stability model with time-varying delay was proposed for power system.The factors of exciter and power system stabilizer with delay were introduced into analytical model.To decrease conservativeness of stability analysis,an improved Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional was constructed,and then a new delay-dependent steady state stability criterion for power system,which overcomes the disadvantages of eigenvalue computation method,was derived.The proposed model and criterion were tested on synchronous-machine infinite-bus power system.The test results demonstrate that Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional based power system stability analysis method is applicable and effective in the analysis of time delay power system stability. 展开更多

Topographic attributes have been identified as the most important factor in controlling the initiation and distribution of shallow landslides triggered by rainfall.As a result,these landslides influence the evolution of local surface topography.In this research,an area of 2.6 km 2 loess catchment in the Huachi County was selected as the study area locating in the Chinese Loess Plateau.The landslides inventory and landslide types were mapped using global position system(GPS) and field mapping.The landslide inventory shows that these shallow landslides involve different movement types including slide,creep and fall.Meanwhile,main topographic attributes were generated based on a high resolution digital terrain model(5 m × 5 m),including aspect,slope shape,elevation,slope angle and contributing area.These maps were overlaid with the spatial distributions of total landslides and each type of landslides in a geographic information system(GIS),respectively,to assess their spatial frequency distributions and relative failure potentials related to these selected topographic attributes.The spatial analysis results revealed that there is a close relation between the topographic attributes of the postlandsliding local surface and the types of landslide movement.Meanwhile,the types of landslide movement have some obvious differences in local topographic attributes,which can influence the relative failure potential of different types of landslides.These results have practical significance to mitigate natural hazard and understandgeomorphologic process in thick loess area. 展开更多

Demarcating distribution area of goods is often guided by the rule of thumb by business proprietors. However, this method seems to be unsuitable when the demand points increase to a certain large extent. The present work attempted to convert the problem of distribution area demarcation into a localized problem of warehouseing and networking, and tried to establish district-based planning mode based on location based heuristic (LBH). Two methods were used in this study: 1) the manual method to construct the mathematical model and conduct simulation; 2) the automatic method using TransCAD software of geographical information system (GIS) for simulation. By comparing the effects of the two methods, the research provides theoretical support for business proprietors to demarcate the distribution area rationally with the application of GIS system. The results show that GIS has very good graphics construction function to replace complex text, and the automatic demarcating mode with human-machine interaction provides a good business decision-making support. 展开更多

On the basis of detailed analyze of the multidimensional space of road-region ecosystem, a new multi-objective comprehensive evaluation method for road-region ecosystem stability is presented and a calculation tormula for multi-objective comprehensive level of road-region ecosystem stability. AIM To elucidate the role of STAT3 in hepatocarcinogenesis and biliary ductular proliferation following chronic liver injury. METHODS We investigated thioacetamide(TAA)-induced liver injury, compensatory hepatocyte proliferation, and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) development in hepatic STAT3-deficient mice. In addition, we evaluated TAAinduced biliary ductular proliferation and analyzed the activation of sex determining region Y-box9(SOX9) and Yes-associated protein(YAP), which regulate the transdifferentiation of hepatocytes to cholangiocytes.RESULTS Both compensatory hepatocyte proliferation and HCC formation were significantly decreased in hepatic STAT3-deficient mice as compared with control mice. STAT3 deficiency resulted in augmentation of hepatic necrosis and fibrosis. On the other hand, biliary ductular proliferation increased in hepatic STAT3-deficient livers as compared with control livers. SOX9 and YAP were upregulated in hepatic STAT3-deficient hepatocytes.CONCLUSION STAT3 may regulate hepatocyte proliferation as well as transdifferentiation into cholangiocytes and serve as a therapeutic target for HCC inhibition and biliary regeneration. 展开更多

With the increasing development of wind power,the scale of wind farms and unit capacity of wind turbines are getting larger and larger,and the impact of wind integration on power systems cannot be ignored.However,in most cases,the areas with a plenty of wind resources do not have strong grid structures.Furthermore,the characteristics of wind power dictate that wind turbines need to absorb reactive power during operation.Because of the strong correlation between voltage stability and systems' reactive power,the impacts of wind integration on voltage stability has become an important issue.Based on the power system simulation software DIgSILENT and combined analysis of actual practice,this paper investigates the impacts of two types of wind farms on voltage stability:namely a type of wind farms which are constituted by constant speed wind turbines based on common induction generators(IG) and another type of wind farms which are constituted by VSCF wind turbines based on doubly-fed induction generators(DFIG).Through investigation the critical fault clearing time is presented for different outputs of wind farms.Moreover,the impacts of static var compensator(SVC) and static synchronous compensator(STATCOM) on transient voltage stability in IG-based wind farms are studied to improve the security and stability of the Jiangsu power grid after the integration of large scale wind power. 展开更多

Beginning from some theoretical considerations, the research objective is to delineate the features of the "new urban geography" of Campania region as it has been formed on the base of the social and economic processes that in the last 30 years have modified the regional urban system in the widest context of Mezzogiorno. To such aim, the paper is articulated in two parts: the first one in which the fundamental passages are re-called in the processes of development of Italian urban areas that have carried to new paradigms object of theoretical approaches still in course of definition, and the second one in which such processes are considered regarding the model of urban development of Campania, on which the research is concentrated. Traditional texture region location methods with Gabor features are often limited in the selection of Gabor filters and fail to deal with the target which contains both texture and non-texture parts.Thus,to solve this problem,a two-step new model was proposed.In the first step,the original features extracted by Gabor filters are applied to training a self-organizing map(SOM) neural network and a novel merging scheme is presented to achieve the clustering.A back propagation(BP) network is used as a classifier to locate the target region approximately.In the second step,Chan-Vese active contour model is applied to detecting the boundary of the target region accurately and morphological processing is used to create a connected domain whose convex hull can cover the target region.In the experiments,the proposed method is demonstrated accurate and robust in localizing target on texture database and practical barcode location system as well. 展开更多

Dengue fever is caused by the dengue virus and transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.A promising avenue for eradicating the disease is to infect the wild aedes population with the bacterium Wolbachia driven by cytoplasmic incompatibility(CI).When releasing Wolbachia infected mosquitoes for population replacement,it is essential to not ignore the spatial inhomogeneity of wild mosquito distribution.In this paper,we develop a model of reaction-diffusion system to investigate the infection dynamics in natural areas,under the assumptions supported by recent experiments such as perfect maternal transmission and complete CI.We prove non-existence of inhomogeneous steady-states when one of the diffusion coefficients is sufficiently large,and classify local stability for constant steady states.It is seen that diffusion does not change the criteria for the local stabilities.Our major concern is to determine the minimum infection frequency above which Wolbachia can spread into the whole population of mosquitoes.We find that diffusion drives the minimum frequency slightly higher in general.However,the minimum remains zero when Wolbachia infection brings overwhelming fitness benefit.In the special case when the infection does not alter the longevity of mosquitoes but reduces the birth rate by half,diffusion has no impact on the minimum frequency. 展开更多

The expansion of the estimated stability region plays an important role in the stability analysis of nonlinear systems.However,current literatures have not provided a complete mathematical description for this problem.This paper reveals that essentially the enlargement or the compression of the estimated stability region results directly from the diffeomorphism map,which is induced by the flow contained in the stability region.By proving that any integration algorithm with an order higher than one can approximately trace the flow of the system,a generalized methodology is proposed to construct various algorithms to realize the enlargement or the compression of the estimated stability region.With this methodology,two new algorithms based on symbolic calculation are suggested to reduce the computational burden.Furthermore,this methodology is applied to construct a scalable numerical algorithm to calculate the critical clearing time(CCT) of the power system for given faults.Tests on the IEEE 10-machine 39-bus system show that the computational results coincide well with the step-by-step simulation with high accuracy. 展开更多

The regional satellite navigation system of COMPASS (Phase I) provides both open services and authorized services. Authorized services offer differential corrections and integrity information to users to support higher positioning, navigation and timing precision. Experimenting with real data, positioning accuracy is estimated with a 3GEO/4IGSO COMPASS constellation. The results show that with dual-frequency and single-frequency pseudo-range measurements, the positioning errors are respectively 8 and 10 m (RMS) for open service users, while for authorized users, the errors are 4 and 5 m (RMS), respectively. The COMPASS constellation geometry may cause large error to occur in the height component by 7-9 m for dualor single-frequency users, which can be effectively reduced with the differential corrections supplied by the authorized services. Multipath errors are identified and corrected for COMPASS, resulting in 25% positioning accuracy improvement for dual-frequency users and 10% improvement for single-frequency users. 展开更多

As the issues of security and stability of power systems are becoming increasingly significant,it is necessary to consider the constraints of the static voltage stability and transient stability,which are closely related to the active power dispatch of power systems,in the daily power dispatch,i.e.the unit commitment.However,due to the complexity of these constraints and limitation of the existing analysis methods,there has been no unit commitment model reported so far that can deal with these security constraints.On the other hand,as lack of effective measures to evaluate the security margin of dispatch schemes,it is difficult for power system operators to integrate both the security and economy of power systems in unit commitment.To resolve the above-mentioned issues,a security region based security-constrained unit commitment model is presented in the paper,which gives consideration to both the security and economy of power systems.For the first time,the active power flow constraint,the static voltage stability constraint and the transient stability constraint are taken into account in unit commitment at the same time.The model presented in the paper takes the operating cost,the branch transmission capacity margin,the static voltage stability margin and the transient stability margin as sub-objectives.By adjusting the weighting factors of sub-objectives,it is convenient to adjust the preference on the security and economy of power systems and reach a balance.The IEEE RTS-24 test system is adopted to validate the correctness and the efficiency of the proposed model. 展开更多

BeiDou regional navigation satellite system (BDS) also called BeiDou-2 has been in full operation since December 27, 2012. It consists of 14 satellites, including 5 satellites in Geostationary Orbit (GEO), 5 satellites in Inclined Geosynchronous Orbit (IGSO), and 4 satellites in Medium Earth Orbit (MEO). In this paper, its basic navigation and positioning performance are evaluated preliminarily by the real data collected in Beijing, including satellite visibility, Position Dilution of Precision (PDOP) value, the precision of code and carrier phase measurements, the accuracy of single point positioning and differential position- ing and ambiguity resolution (AR) performance, which are also compared with those of GPS. It is shown that the precision of BDS code and carrier phase measurements are about 33 cm and 2 mm, respectively, which are comparable to those of GPS, and the accuracy of BDS single point positioning has satisfied the design requirement. The real-time kinematic positioning is also feasible by BDS alolae in the opening condition, since its fixed rate and reliability of single-epoch dual-frequency AR is comparable to those of GPS. The accuracy of BDS carrier phase differential positioning is better than 1 cm for a very short baseline of 4.2 m and 3 cm for a short baseline of 8.2 km, which is on the same level with that of GPS. For the combined BDS and GPS, the fixed rate and reliability of single-epoch AR and the positioning accuracy are improved significantly. The accu- racy of BDS/GPS carrier phase differential positioning is about 35 and 20 % better than that of GPS for two short baseline tests in this study.
