When measuring flatness error in close way by pitch, usually the uncertainty of measurement result is independently estimated according to pitch points. By analyzing a concrete example, this paper proposed that the uncertainty should be evaluated by the correlation calculating method. This approach greatly improved the deficiencies of the assessment method according to independent measurement and enhanced measurement precision. It provides a reference value for uncertainty assessment in leveling a flat.展开更多

The first case is the idealized case, i. e., the range measurements in the NLOS conditions and the corresponding distribution parameters of the NLOS errors are known. The probability of a communication of a pair of nodes in the NLOS conditions and the corresponding distribution parameters of the NLOS errors are known in the second case. The third case is the worst case, in which only knowledge about noise measurement power is obtained. The proposed algorithm is compared with the maximum likelihood-simulated annealing(ML-SA)-based localization algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides good location accuracy and considerably outperforms the ML-SA-based localization algorithm for every case. The root mean square error(RMSE)of the location estimate of the NBP-based localization algorithm is reduced by about 1. 6 m in Case 1, 1. 8 m in Case 2 and 2. 3 m in Case 3 compared with the ML-SA-based localization algorithm. Therefore, in the NLOS environments, the localization algorithms can obtain the location estimates with high accuracy by using the NBP method.展开更多

This uncertainty relays on the clearance dimension and the way these clearances are taken up by the mechanism under the load and the inertial effects at every instant. As a matter of fact, the actual measure of the pose error is often replaced by an uncertainty measure. However, a side effect of the existence of clearances is that they can cause sudden changes in the posture of the mechanism as a motion is performed. Such discontinuities in the position produce task defects and impacts. In this work a tool to determine the pose error due to clearances is presented together with a discontinuity analysis. In addition, effects of mass distribution and inertial effects on such discontinuities are expounded, taking a 3-PRS robot as example.展开更多

A new method of end error correction of 6-HTRT parallel robot is presented for engineering and researching on correlative theory of 6-HTRT parallel robot. The method need calculate many kinematics equations of parallel robot such as position back solution, velocity Jacobin, position forward solution and error Jacobin. New methods presented for solving these questions are simpler and fitter for programming and calculating, because former methods are too complex to use in engineering. These questions may be solved by iterative method of numerical value which has fast velocity of calculating. These new methods may be used in other mechanism of parallel robot too, and so have wider using value. The experimental results demonstrate that the system may satisfy entirely high technical request and fit for engineering in new measures.展开更多

In this paper, two predictive models including Mamdani fuzzy system (MFS) and multivariable regression analysis (MVRA) were developed to predict deformation modulus based on data obtained from dilatometer tests carried out in Bakhtiary dam site and additional data collected from longwall coal mines. Models inputs were considered to be rock quality designation, overburden height, weathering, unconfined compressive strength, bedding inclination to core axis, joint roughness coefficient and fill thickness. To control the models performance, calculating indices such as root mean square error (RMSE), variance account for (VAF) and determination coefficient (R^2) were used. The MFS results show the significant prediction accuracy along with high performance compared to MVRA results. Finally, the sensitivity analysis of MFS results shows that the most and the least effective parameters on deformation modulus are weatherin~ and overburden height, respectively.展开更多
