Clinical studies and literature on acupuncture-moxibustion for stable angina pectoris with definite acupoint selection were included through retrieving China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database and VIP in order to analyze the characteristics and rules of acupoint selection in acupuncture-moxibustion treatment for stable angina pectoris. It has been found that the acupoint selection of acupuncture-moxibustion prescriptions for stable angina pectoris focused on specific acupoints. The top 5 acupoints with the highest using frequency included Neiguan(内关PC 6),Danzhdng(膻中CV17),Xinshu(心俞BL 15),Ziusanli(足三里ST 36) and Sanyinjiao(三阴交SP 6). Acupuncture-moxibustion treatment of stable angina pectoris involved 12 meridians, mainly including the hand-jueyin pericardium meridian, the foot-taiyang bladder meridian, conception vessel, the foot-yangming stomach meridian, the foot-taiyin spleen meridian, and the hand-shaoyin heart meridian, etc., embodying the characteristics and rules of acupoint selection such as "highlighting the special treatment effect of acupoints" "selecting acupoints along the pericardium meridian, bladder meridian and conception vessel, combining the anterior and the posterior acupoints", "selecting the distal acupoints of spleen and stomach meridians, and focusing on specific acupoints", etc.展开更多

Methods: Forty-five patients with headache caused by cold were included to receive scraping therapy, and asked to take hot water and a good rest after treatment. Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score was recorded before and after the scraping treatment. The patients were visited again at the second day to inspect the development of the disease, including whether the headache was relapsed or aggravated; how long it was between the relapse or aggravation and the scraping treatment; patients' behavior after the scraping treatment. Result: The VAS score ofpre-treatment was 6.45±1.95, and it was 1.43±0.65 after treatment. The results had statistical significance. In the revisit among the 45 patients, there were 39 patients whose headache didn't relapsed or aggravated. For the left 6 patients who got relapsed or aggravated headache, researcher found that they did not follow the doctor's order well. Conclusion: Scraping therapy has obvious real-time effect on headache caused by cold. However, whether the patients can follow the doctor's advice is a key factor in the relapse of headache.展开更多

Methods: Fifty patients with confirmed diagnosis of migraine were intervened by using nape cluster acupuncture, and were evaluated at the outset and after 2-month treatment by the short-form of McGill pain questionnaire (SP-MPQ) and self-rating depression scale (SDS). Results: After treatment, the number of positive words, sensory pain rating index (S-PRI), affective pain rating index (A-PRI), total pain rating index (T-PRI), visual analogue scale (VAS), and present pain intensity (PPI) were significantly changed (P〈0.01); the SDS score was (56.42+8.12) points before treatment versus (41.08+5.73) points after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.01). The total effective rate was 86.0%; the therapeutic efficacy of the patients with a shorter disease duration was superior to that of the patients with a longer one (P〈0.05); the efficacy of mild-moderate migraine was superior to that of severe one (P〈0.01); the total effective rate of patients without depression was higher than that with depression, but without a significant difference in comparing the therapeutic efficacy (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Nape cluster acupuncture is effective in treating migraine, significantly improving headache and depression.展开更多
