Only a few cases of carcinoid tumors in patients infected with Helicobacter pylori （H. pylor/） have ...There are four types of gastric carcinoid tumors, classified according to their histology and malignant potential. Only a few cases of carcinoid tumors in patients infected with Helicobacter pylori （H. pylor/） have been reported so far. We report a patient infected with H. pylori presenting with a small solitary gastric carcinoid tumor with very low proliferative rate and normal gas- trin levels. The tumor was endoscopically removed and the patient received an eradication therapy against H. pylori. No signs of metastatic disease have been found so far during more than 3 year of follow-up. Infection with H. pylori may cause chronic gastritis with normal or elevated gastrin levels, leading to the develop- ment of gastric carcinoids by mechanisms unrelated to gastrin. Enterochromaffin-like cell tumors related to a chronic H. pylori infection may be considered as a distinct type of gastric carcinoid tumors.展开更多

The system configuration and the principle of the method are analyzed and some experimental results are given out. The pixel ar-chitecture of Active Pixel Sensor (APS) is used in the chip,which comprises a 256×256 pixel array together with column amplifiers,scan array circuits,series interface,control logic and Analog-Digital Converter (ADC). With the use of smart layout design,fill factor of pixel cell is 43%. Moreover,a new method of Dynamic Digital Double Sample (DDDS) which removes Fixed Pattern Noise (FPN) is used. The CMOS image sensor chip is implemented based on the 0.35μm process of chartered by Multi-Project Wafer (MPW). This chip performs well as expected.展开更多

The effects of the coating on rate capability and cycle life at high cut-off voltage are inv...The Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 is first obtained by the controlled crystallization method and then coated with Ni3(PO4)2particles. The effects of the coating on rate capability and cycle life at high cut-off voltage are investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and galvanostatic measurements. The element ratio of Ni:Mn:Co is tested by inductively-coupled plasma spectrometer(ICP) analysis and it testified to be 1:1:1. It is indicated that Ni3(PO4)2-coated Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 has an outstanding capacity retention, where 99% capacity retention is maintained after 10 cycles at 5C discharge rate between 2.7 V and 4.6 V. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) results show that the current exchange density i0 of the coated sample is higher than that of Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2, which is beneficial to its electrochemical performances. All the conclusions show that the Ni3(PO4)2coating can prominently enhance the high rate performance of the Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2, especially at high cut-off voltage.展开更多

These factors are not considered by the Spanish technic...Indoor CO2 concentration depends on the number of persons, their metabolic rates, other sources of indoor pollution, ventilation rate and ventilation efficiency. These factors are not considered by the Spanish technical building code since ventilation is set only by a fixed air change rate. This paper aims to explore the possibilities of DCVS （demand controlled ventilation systems） to ensure adequate and sustainable ventilation. It is based on a research project carried out by the University of the Basque Country （EHU-UPV） and Euskadi Public Housing and Soil Join-Stock Company （VISESA）： the living rooms of 90 dwellings were provided with DCVS, where CO2 sensors were used to dynamically control the ventilation rate. Tests were carried out using tracer gas techniques, with results showing the air age to be adequate at every point of the occupied zones and free of stagnant areas, therefore proving the system＇s effectiveness and rapid response, and its energy savings.展开更多

Following J M Davis’s Works, semi-solid medium was usedfor initial cloning. Five of them were studied further. Their main chromosome- numbers range were 96 to105, all of them were IgG1 subclass. The affinities of these McAbs were estimated to be 1. 25 ×108 mol/L, 1. 12×108 mol/L, 2. 34×108 mol/L, 8. 55 × 107 mol/L, 1. 04×108 mol/L, respectively.Two groups of mice challenging with E Coli (107 organisms), one group treated with 2mg/kg anti-TNF monoclonal antibody, the other did not. There was a higher survival rate in treated group, the serumTNF level was significantly lower too, and the untreated mice had severe pathologic changes in vlscera.展开更多
Though promoting ferroptosis can reduce cisplatin resistance in tumor cells,ferroptosis and cisplatin resistance in bladder urothelial carcinoma(BUC)following long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)is largely unknown.Here,we fo...Though promoting ferroptosis can reduce cisplatin resistance in tumor cells,ferroptosis and cisplatin resistance in bladder urothelial carcinoma(BUC)following long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)is largely unknown.Here,we found the highly expressed lncRNA MAF transcription factor G antisense RNA 1(MAFG-AS1)in BUC,and its inhibition increased the sensitivity of BUC cells to cisplatin by promoting ferroptosis.Mechanically,binding to iron chaperone poly(rC)-binding protein 2(PCBP2)facilitated the recruitments of MAFG-AS1 to deubiquitinase ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase isozyme L5(UCHL5),thus stabilizing PCBP2 protein itself.Then PCBP2 was confirmed to interact with ferroportin 1(FPN1),an iron export protein,leading to inhibition of ferroptosis.Moreover,the expression of MAFG-AS1 was regulated by the transcriptional factor MAFG.Interestingly,MAFG-AS1 stimulated MAFG transcription by recruiting histone acetyltransferase p300(EP300)to promote the histone 3 at lysine 27(H3K27ac)at genomic locus of MAFG,forming a MAFG-AS1/MAFG positive feedback loop.In patient samples,higher expression of MAFG-AS1 and MAFG in BUC tissues was significantly correlated with T status and N status,such that MAFG-AS1,MAFG,and the combination of the two were independent prognostic indicators and chemotherapy sensitivity predictive biomarkers for BUC patients.These findings suggest that inhibition of MAFG-AS1 and MAFG can increase the sensitivity of BUC cells to cisplatin through promoting ferroptosis,indicating the novel chemotherapy sensitivity biomarkers and therapeutic target for BUC.展开更多
