Dynamic experiments on flocculation and sedimentation of argillized ultrafine tailings using fly-ash-based magnetic coagulant 被引量:11

In order to accelerate the sedimentation of super-large-scale argillized ultrafine tailings with bad features such as low settling velocity, muddy overflow water, and large flocculant dosage, a fly-ash-based magnetic coagulant (FAMC) was used in a dynamic experimental device. To obtain the best possible combination of the impact factors (magnetic intensity, FAMC dosage, flocculant dosage, and feed speed) for minimum overflow turbidity, a response surface methodology test coupled with a four-factor five-level central composite design was conducted. The synergy mechanism of FAMC and flocculant was analyzed based on the potential measurement and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the flocculant dosage, overflow turbidity, and solid content can be reduced by 50%, 90%, and 80%, while the handling capacity per unit and efficiency of backfill and dry stacking can be promoted by 20%, 17%, and 13%, respectively, with a magnetic intensity of 0.3 T, FAMC dosage of 200 mL/t, flocculant dosage of 30 g/t, and feed speed of 0.6 t/(m^2·h). Therefore, synergy of FAMC and flocculant has obvious efficiency in saving energy and protecting the environment by allowing 70×10^6 t/a of argillized ultrafine tailings slurry to be disposed safely and efficiently with a cost saving of more than 53×106 Yuan/a, which gives it great promise for use in domestic and foreign mines. 展开更多

The system consists of four coupled first-order ordinary differential equations with three nonlinear cross-product terms. Some dynamical properties of this hyperchaotic system, including equlibria, stability, Lyapunov exponent spectrum and bifurcation, are analysed in detail. Moreover, an electronic circuit diagram is designed for demonstrating the existence of the hyperchaos, and verifying computer simulation results. 展开更多

In order to study the variation of machine tools’dynamic characteristics in the manufacturing space,a Kriging approximate model is proposed.Finite element method(FEM)is employed on the platform of ANSYS to establish finite element(FE)model with the dynamic characteristic of combined interface for a milling machine,which is newly designed for producing aero engine blades by a certain enterprise group in China.The stiffness and damping of combined interfaces are adjusted by using adaptive simulated annealing algorithm with the optimizing software of iSIGHT in the process of FE model update according to experimental modal analysis(EMA)results.The Kriging approximate model is established according to the finite element analysis results utilizing orthogonal design samples by taking into account of the range of configuration parameters.On the basis of the Kriging approximate model,the response surfaces between key response parameter and configuration parameters are obtained.The results indicate that configuration parameters have great effects on dynamic characteristics of machine tools,and the Kriging approximate model is an effective and rapid method for estimating dynamic characteristics of machine tools in the manufacturing space. 展开更多

Modeling of a virtual object was divided into two stages, modeling of the efficient pump and the simulated failure of one of the impeller's blades. Comparison of the results of the resonance frequency obtained from the model analysis, with those obtained from measurements on the actual object was shown. Measurements and simulations were conducted on the pump before and after the simulated damaged of the rotor. In order to verify the model the rotor of pump was weighted and compared with the masses of the respective components obtained from the virtual object. Parameter identification was carried out with the application of the nonlinear system identification method on the basis of system responses to exploitational excitation resulting from pedestrian traffic. In order to verify obtained results, on the basis of the geometrical and material properties of the considered system, the FEM (finite elements model) was created. Geometric precision evaluation methodology of multiple reference station network algorithms

To evaluate the performance of real time kinematic (RTK) network algorithms without applying actual measurements, a new method called geometric precision evaluation methodology (GPEM) based on covariance analysis was presented. Three types of multiple reference station interpolation algorithms, including partial derivation algorithm (PDA), linear interpolation algorithms (LIA) and least squares condition (LSC) were discussed and analyzed. The geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) was defined to describe the influence of the network geometry on the interpolation precision, and the different GDOP expressions of above-mentioned algorithms were deduced. In order to compare geometric precision characteristics among different multiple reference station network algorithms, a simulation was conducted, and the GDOP contours of these algorithms were enumerated. Finally, to confirm the validation of GPEM, an experiment was conducted using data from Unite State Continuously Operating Reference Stations (US-CORS), and the precision performances were calculated according to the real test data and GPEM, respectively. The results show that GPEM generates very accurate estimation of the performance compared to the real data test. 展开更多

Recently, trimming Soft-output Viterbi algorithm(T-SOVA) has been proposed to reduce the complexity of SOVA for Turbo codes. In its fi rst stage, a dynamic algorithm, lazy Viterbi algorithm, is used to indicate the minimal metric differences which brings obstacle on hardware implementation. This paper proposes a Viterbi algorithm(VA) based T-SOVA to facilitate hardware implementation. In the first stage of our scheme, a modified VA with regular structure is used to fi nd the maximum likelihood(ML) path and calculate the metric differences. Further, local sorting is introduced to trim the metric differences, which reduces the complexity of trimming operation. Simulation results and complexity analysis show that VA based T-SOVA performs as well as lazy VA based T-SOVA and is easier to be applied to hardware implementation. 展开更多

In addition, it proposes a set of theoretical and technical methods for the real-time evaluation of traffic flows for entire road networks, and for solving key technical issues, such as real-time data collection and processing in areas with no blind zones, the spatial-temporal dynamic analysis of road network traffic, and the calibration of key performance index thresholds. It also provides new technical tools for the strategic transportation planning and real-time diagnosis of road traffic. This article intends to report a rare case of massive pericardial effusion as the first manifestation of hypothyroidism. A 45-year-old male patient, accompanied by a cardiology department, suddenly started to present signs of dyspnea and tiredness. He was submitted to an echocardiogram and diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy associated with a moderate pericardial effusion and low ejection of fraction. The laboratory tests showed elevated TSH levels (13.20 mIU/L), what leads to the hypothyroidism diagnose and enable to start the treatment with levothyroxine. The patient has not followed correctly the treatment, reason why he has not showed any improves. He was admitted in the hospital to cardiology monitoring and the chest radiography confirmed an intense pericardial effusion. Then, the patient was submitted to the pericardiocentesis procedure, which was capable of remove the pericardial fluid for laboratory analysis and fragment of the pericardial sac for neoplastic cell research. After the hospital discharge, he was maintained in outpatient follow-up, when showed an important improvement in the clinical state. 展开更多
