Meanwhile, gas-holdup and gas-liquid interfacial area a were obtained. The effects of temperature, pressure, superficial gas velocity and solid concentration on the mass transfer coeffi-cient were discussed. Experimental results show that the gas-liquid volumetric mass transfer coefficient kLa and interfacial area a increased with the increase of pressure, temperature, and superficial gas velocity, and decreased with the slurry concentration. The mass transfer coefficient kL increased with increasing superficial gas velocity and temperature and decreased with higher slurry concentration, while it changed slightly with pressure. Ac-cording to analysis of experimental data, an empirical correlation is obtained to calculate the values of kLa for H2 (CO, CO2) in the gas-paraffin-quartz system in a bubble column under elevated temperature and elevated pressure.展开更多

Hydraulic fluids of new concept, high bulk modulus oils, have been developed as a new approach to improve the performance of a hydraulic servo system and verified. In this paper, practical performances of high bulk modulus oil, such as oil temperature rise during pump test, air bubbles generation by ultrasonic wave vibration, oxidation stability and anti-wear property, were studied. And the new oil was confirmed to have excellent practical performances besides advantages in pressure response and volumetric efficiency of pumps. Various new applications of the new oil are promising.展开更多

The results show that with the increase of the number of cryogenic thermal cycles (CTC), thermal stability remains almost unchanged, while the plasticity is increased, indicating that the cryogenic thermal cyclic treatment is an effective way to improve plasticity of metallic glasses without distinctly deteriorating thermal stability. Our analysis suggests that the increase in the defect density resulted from the cryogenic thermal treatments are responsible for the plasticity increment. Variation of yield strength can be well interpreted from microstructural percolation which affected by both density and characteristic volume of the defect sites.展开更多
