As Guangxu and CiXi did not get on well with each other for long, the death of the Emperor aroused the ministers’ suspicion. Even today, the reason for his death is still a Mister, and has attracted many historical researchers. This thesis, based on some historical resources, makes an thorough analysis and draws out a conclusion that Guangxu was probably murdered for political reasons.
