This paper describes a design method and construction of a PV hybrid system for household electrification in remote area which has typical important electrical loads for daily life such as television, refrigerator, el...This paper describes a design method and construction of a PV hybrid system for household electrification in remote area which has typical important electrical loads for daily life such as television, refrigerator, electric fan, coffee maker, and radio. The paper presents the design method which is a short and correct method for the PV Hybrid system design. The result of the proposed design method is finally simulated by Homer software to optimize and prove the result. From the simulation, the output shows that the proposed method is proper for using to design the sizing of PV hybrid system. After the design, a PV hybrid system is constructed accordingly to the system design. A PV hybrid prototype is constructed as a small house which is specially constructed for demonstration of the proposed system. The PV hybrid system therefore has the size of PV 1.8 kWp, battery 20 kWh, and diesel generator 3 kW. After a long implementation of the system, the results of monitored data show that the designed PV hybrid system can deliver the power to the house continually 24 hours as it is originally designed. This can ensure that the proposed method of PV hybrid system design is correct and can be used for design the PV hybrid system for electrical utility in the remote area where has no an electric grid.展开更多

Feed restriction is a common practice to reduce post weaning digestive disorders in rabbits and to get carcasses with less fat. Two hy...Feed restriction is a common practice to reduce post weaning digestive disorders in rabbits and to get carcasses with less fat. Hydric restriction is commonly used to induce feed restriction in growing rabbits. Two hydric restriction times (2 h and 4 h per day, continuously) were used in our trial carried in good sanitary conditions. Thirty six rabbits were divided at weaning (28 days) into three groups: R2 with restricted access to drinking water from 35 days to 80 days age of 2 h per day (from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.), R4: access to drinking water 4 h per day (from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.) and T (control group) with unlimited access to drinking water. Six animals from each group were slaughtered at 80 days of age. Carcass measurements and meat quality were studied. Histological study for kidneys was carried out. Relative weight of gastrointestinal tract increases with the degree of restriction: 16.5, 18.4 and 18.9 for T, R4 and R2, respectively (P 〈 0.05). Perirenal fat was lower in restricted groups but differences were not statically significant. Scapular fat decreases of 2/3 or 1/3 respectively with limiting access to drinking water of 2 h or 4 h per day. Compared to control group (T), meat of restricted groups contains more water: 70.3%, 70% and 69.3% respectively for R4, R2 and T (P 〈 0.01). The same tendency was observed for proteins: 19.2%, 19.3% and 17.7% for groups R2, R4 and T. Fat decreases in meat of restricted animals: 8.4%, 8.2% and 8.1% respectively for T, R4 and R2 (P 〈 0.05). Water restriction induced decrease of carcass and meat adiposity. There were no differences between pH post mortem and pH ultimate (after 24 h) between the three groups. Hydric restriction does not effect on kidney histology.展开更多

It is ...Battery based standalone SHS (solar home systems) are installed in Malawi to expedite rural electrification. A study was conducted to analyze the performance of SHS in low and high insolation areas of Malawi. It is found that if the system is designed in accordance to procedures stipulated in Malawi standards, then it is capable of operating annually with mean performance ratio of 0.68, PV array production factor of 0.88 and system efficiency of 78% indicating a good system performance. The system is more reliable in high insulation areas (loss of load probability = 0.09) and when the battery charging is given priority during daytime, the overall system's reliability is improved by 40%. However, if the system is under-designed its performance ratio is reduced considerably and the system becomes less reliable. In overall, SHS in Malawi perform reliably if the system is well designed and maintained.展开更多

Rather, industrial development should be discussed and developed using a wider lens, as part of state strategy and responding to national conditions. This paper argues that, for China to progress further, it must transition from being simply a large industrial country to being a true industrial power. The paper presents characteristics and indicators that describe the world's industrial powers. China should focus strategically on development via invigorating industry - this idea and its related objectives, key tasks, and policy directions make up the Industry-Invigorating-China Strategy. The products of the industry are the building blocks in many industries as they deepen the forward and backward linkages of the petroleum sector with the rest of the economy. The industry uses a variety of hydrocarbon feedstock such as different cuts of naphtha from refinery and natural gas. One of the problems facing the industry is lack of reliable feedstock supplies. Nigeria has the potential to be a major petrochemicals producer. With proven gas reserves currently estimated at 187 tcf, not much has been accomplished with respect to the effective exploitation and utilization of this resource as most of the nation's natural gas production has been flared, liquefied for export or re-injected to enhance greater crude oil recovery. It has become imperative to further find ways to exploit and utilize the nation's natural gas reserves and translate it to the improvement of the nation's economy. Steam reforming of natural gas is one of the avenues for conversion of natural gas to petrochemicals. This paper, however, reviews various ways of utilizing natural gas, examines the process details of steam reforming of natural gas as a route to optimized natural gas utilization and industrialization in Nigeria. Syngas (synthesis gas) is a versatile feedstock for most petrochemicals and chemical intermediates. Thus utilizing natural gas in this way would strengthen the petrochemical industry making it possible for the country to change from raw materials to value-added products supplier, boost the economy and solve the "hydra-headed" problem of unemployment in Nigeria with its multiplier employment effect.展开更多

In this paper, a technique for automatic configuration for two types of neural networks is presented. The multilayer perceptron and recurrent Elman are the neural networks used here. The determination of optimal parameters for the neural network is formulated as an optimization problem, solved with the use of meta-heuristic MPCA (multiple particle collision algorithm). Carbonate cement is the most abundant cement type in the Fourth Member of the Xujiahe Formation in the Xiaoquan-Fenggu area of the West Sichuan Depression. Here we use a systematic analysis of carbonate cement petrolo...Carbonate cement is the most abundant cement type in the Fourth Member of the Xujiahe Formation in the Xiaoquan-Fenggu area of the West Sichuan Depression. Here we use a systematic analysis of carbonate cement petrology, mineralogy, carbon and oxygen isotope ratios and enclosure homogenization temperatures to study the precipitation mechanism, pore fluid evolu- tion, and distribution of different types of carbonate cement in reservoir sand in the study area. Crystalline calcite has relatively heavy carbon and oxygen isotope ratios (δ13C = 2.14%o, 8180 = -5.77‰), and was precipitated early. It was precipitated di- rectly from supersaturated alkaline fluid under normal temperature and pressure conditions. At the time of precipitation, the fluid oxygen isotope ratio was very light, mainly showing the characteristics of a mixed meteoric water-seawater fluid( δ180 = -3‰), which shows that the fluid during precipitation was influenced by both meteoric water and seawater. The calcite cement that fills in the secondary pores has relatively lighter carbon and oxygen isotope ratios (δ13C = -2.36%0, 8180 = -15.68‰). This cement was precipitated late, mainly during the Middle and Late Jurassic. An important material source for this carbonate cement was the feldspar corrosion process that involved organic matter. The Ca2+, Fe3+ and Mg2+ ions released by the clay mineral transformation process were also important source materials. Because of water-rock interactions during the buri- al process, the oxygen isotope ratio of the fluid significantly increased during precipitation, by about 3‰. The dolomite ce- ments in calcarenaceous sandstone that was precipitated during the Middle Jurassic have heavier carbon and oxygen isotope ratios, which are similar to those of carbonate debris in the sandstone (δ13C = 1.93%o, δ180 = -6.11‰), demonstrating that the two are from the same source that had a heavier oxygen isotope ratio (δ180 of about 2.2‰). The differences in fluid oxygen isotope ratios during cement precipitation reflect the influences of different water-rock interaction systems or different wa- ter-rock interaction strengths. This is the main reason why the sandstone containing many rigid particles (lithic quartz sand- stone) has a relatively negative carbon isotope ratio and why the precipitation fluid in calcarenaceous sandstone has a relatively heavier oxygen isotope ratio.展开更多

文摘When a population structure is modelled as a square lattice,the cooperation may be improved for an evolutionary prisoner dilemma game or be inhibited for an evolutionary snowdrift game.In this work,we investigate cooperation in a population on a square lattice where the interaction among players contains both prisoner dilemma game and snowdrift game.The heterogeneity in interaction is introduced to the population in two different ways:the heterogenous character of interaction assigned to every player(HCP) or the heterogenous character of interaction assigned to every link between any two players(HCL).The resonant enhancement of cooperation in the case of HCP is observed while the resonant inhibition of cooperation in the case of HCL is prominent.The explanations on the enhancement or inhibition of cooperation are presented for these two cases.

文摘Carbonate cement is the most abundant cement type in the Fourth Member of the Xujiahe Formation in the Xiaoquan-Fenggu area of the West Sichuan Depression. Here we use a systematic analysis of carbonate cement petrology, mineralogy, carbon and oxygen isotope ratios and enclosure homogenization temperatures to study the precipitation mechanism, pore fluid evolu- tion, and distribution of different types of carbonate cement in reservoir sand in the study area. Crystalline calcite has relatively heavy carbon and oxygen isotope ratios (δ13C = 2.14%o, 8180 = -5.77‰), and was precipitated early. It was precipitated di- rectly from supersaturated alkaline fluid under normal temperature and pressure conditions. At the time of precipitation, the fluid oxygen isotope ratio was very light, mainly showing the characteristics of a mixed meteoric water-seawater fluid( δ180 = -3‰), which shows that the fluid during precipitation was influenced by both meteoric water and seawater. The calcite cement that fills in the secondary pores has relatively lighter carbon and oxygen isotope ratios (δ13C = -2.36%0, 8180 = -15.68‰). This cement was precipitated late, mainly during the Middle and Late Jurassic. An important material source for this carbonate cement was the feldspar corrosion process that involved organic matter. The Ca2+, Fe3+ and Mg2+ ions released by the clay mineral transformation process were also important source materials. Because of water-rock interactions during the buri- al process, the oxygen isotope ratio of the fluid significantly increased during precipitation, by about 3‰. The dolomite ce- ments in calcarenaceous sandstone that was precipitated during the Middle Jurassic have heavier carbon and oxygen isotope ratios, which are similar to those of carbonate debris in the sandstone (δ13C = 1.93%o, δ180 = -6.11‰), demonstrating that the two are from the same source that had a heavier oxygen isotope ratio (δ180 of about 2.2‰). The differences in fluid oxygen isotope ratios during cement precipitation reflect the influences of different water-rock interaction systems or different wa- ter-rock interaction strengths. This is the main reason why the sandstone containing many rigid particles (lithic quartz sand- stone) has a relatively negative carbon isotope ratio and why the precipitation fluid in calcarenaceous sandstone has a relatively heavier oxygen isotope ratio.
