To regulate the microstructure homogeneity of large aluminum structural forgings for aircraft,the surface cumulative plastic deformation was proposed.The microstructure of 7050 aluminum forgings after the surface cumulative plastic deformation was investigated by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results showed that the microstructure evolution of 7050 aluminum forgings was more sensitive to the deformation temperature than the strain rate.The dislocation density continued to increase with the decrease of the deformation temperature and the increase of the strain rate.Dislocation density and stored energy were accumulated by the surface cumulative plastic deformation.Besides,a static recrystallization(SRX)model of 7050 aluminum forgings was established.The SRX volume fraction calculated by this model was in good agreement with the experimental results,which indicated that the model could accurately describe the SRX behavior of 7050 aluminum forgings during the surface cumulative plastic deformation. 展开更多

The principle and characteristics of hydrostatic gas lubricated non-contacting mechanical seal (HSGLNMS) are introduced. The flow field of the gas film is established by numerical analysis of end faces of HSGLNMS. The distribution of gas film pressure and seal performance parameters inclu- ding opening force and leakage are obtained. Influence of operating parameters and sealing configu- ration on the sealing performance is studied. HSGLNMS has been designed and manufactured. Its working film thickness and leakage are measured to verify the theoretical analysis. The investigation results show that HSGLNMS demonstrates good speed adaptability, which means that the seal runs successfully with both low and high speed, showing excellent performance. The seal can be regula- ted and controlled online ; the opening force will not be raised greatly with the increasing of the num- ber of throttle orifices, but the leakage of seal increases apparently ; the uniform pressure groove im- proves the sealing performance, for example, opening force and stiffness are raised obviously. While leakage is reduced. Finally, the theoretical analysis is verified by experiment. 展开更多

Changes of molecular structure and associated charge distributions, and changes of anharmonic vibrational parameters from DNA base monomers to the Watson-Crick base pairs, have been investigated at the density functional theory level. Through examination of the NH2, N H, and C=O stretching vibrational modes that are involved in the multiple H-bonds in the base pairs, sensitivity of their diagonal and off-diagonal anharmonicities, as well as anharmonic vibrational couplings, to the structure change are predicted. Our results reveal the intrinsic connection between the anharmonic vibrational potentials, H-bonding, and electrostatic interactions in DNA bases. 展开更多

A wave equation of rock under axial static stress is established using the equivalent medium method by modifying the Kelvin-Voigt model.The analytical formulas of longitudinal velocity,space and time attenuation coefficients and response frequency are obtained by solving the equation using the harmonic method.A series of experiments on stress wave propagation through rock under different axial static stresses have been conducted.The proposed models of stress wave propagation are then verified by comparing experimental results with theoretical solutions.Based on the verified theoretical models,the influences of axial static stress on longitudinal velocity,space and time attenuation coefficients and response frequency are investigated by detailed parametric studies.The results show that the proposed theoretical models can be used to effectively investigate the effects of axial static stress on the stress wave propagation in rock.The axial static stress influences stress wave propagation characteristics of porous rock by varying the level of rock porosity and damage.Moreover,the initial porosity,initial elastic modulus of the rock voids and skeleton,viscous coefficient and vibration frequency have significant effects on the P-wave velocity,attenuation characteristics and response frequency of the stress wave in porous rock under axial static stress. 展开更多

According to the principle of a piezoelectric scanner, a three degree-of-freedom (D.O.F) micromanipulator driven by piezoelectric tubes was developed to realize the integration of mechanism and actuator.Through the static analysis of the deflection of piezoelectric tube into four quadrants, a formula has been establish for the relationship between micro-displacement and driving voltage and accordingly, the angular error is analyzed. Experiments show that the micro-displacement calculated using the formula is in good agreement with the measurements. The relative error is less than 5%. Some performances of the micromanipulator show that it can be applied to some micromanipulations. 展开更多

High density spatial sampling is a... China's continental deposition basins are characterized by complex geological structures and various reservoir lithologies. Therefore, high precision exploration methods are needed. High density spatial sampling is a new technology to increase the accuracy of seismic exploration. We briefly discuss point source and receiver technology, analyze the high density spatial sampling in situ method, introduce the symmetric sampling principles presented by Gijs J. O. Vermeer, and discuss high density spatial sampling technology from the point of view of wave field continuity. We emphasize the analysis of the high density spatial sampling characteristics, including the high density first break advantages for investigation of near surface structure, improving static correction precision, the use of dense receiver spacing at short offsets to increase the effective coverage at shallow depth, and the accuracy of reflection imaging. Coherent noise is not aliased and the noise analysis precision and suppression increases as a result. High density spatial sampling enhances wave field continuity and the accuracy of various mathematical transforms, which benefits wave field separation. Finally, we point out that the difficult part of high density spatial sampling technology is the data processing. More research needs to be done on the methods of analyzing and processing huge amounts of seismic data. 展开更多

Few seismic exploration work was carried out in Tibetan Plateau due to the characteristics of alpine hypoxia and harsh environmental protection needs.Complex near surface geological conditions,especially the signal shielding and static correction of permafrost make the quality of seismic data is not ideal,the signal to noise ratio(SNR)is low,and deep target horizon imaging is difficult.These data cannot provide high quality information for oil and gas geological survey and structural sedimentary research in the area.To solve the issue of seismic exploration in Tibetan Plateau,this test used low frequency vibroseis wide-line and high-density acquisition scheme.In view of the actual situation of the study area,the terrain,the source and the diff erent observation system were simulated,and the processing technique was adopted to improve the quality of seismic data.Low-frequency components with a minimum of 1.5Hz of vibroseis ensure the deep geological target imaging quality in the area,the seismic profi le wave group is clear,and the SNR is relatively high,which can meet the needs of oil and gas exploration.Seismic data can provide the support for the development of oil and gas survey in the Tibet plateau. 展开更多

The surface states of pyrite(Fe S2) were theoretically investigated using first principle calculation based on the density functional theory(DFT). The results indicate that both the(200) and(311) surfaces of pyrite undergo significant surface atom relaxation after geometry optimization, which results in a considerable distortion of the surface region. In the normal direction, i.e., perpendicular to the surface, S atoms in the first surface layer move outward from the bulk, while Fe atoms move toward the bulk, forming an S-rich surface. The surface relaxation processes are driven by electrostatic interaction, which is evidenced by a relative decrease in the surface energy after surface relaxation. Such a relaxation process is visually interpreted through the qualitative analysis of molecular mechanics. Atomic force microscopy(AFM) analysis reveals that only sulfur atom is visible on the pyrite surface. This result is consistent with the DFT data. Such S-rich surface has important influence on the flotation properties of pyrite. 展开更多

The design of unique chamber, in which the SCUWC (self-consolidating underwater concrete) can be tested under the impact of the hydrostatic pressure from 0.1 MPa to 0.5 MPa, is presented in the paper. The results of the preliminary tests of the effect of the hydrostatic pressure on the compressive strength of SCUWC were shown. The impact of the hydrostatic pressure on the compressive strength values of test specimens has been confirmed. There has been an increase in the strength of the specimens taken from the upper parts of the concrete samples. As it can be seen from the preliminary research, the differences in compressive strength are related to the differences that occur in the size and distribution of air voids in the samples taken from upper and lower parts of the test specimens. On the basis of the carried out investigations of the compressive strength, it can be concluded that the hydrostatic pressure has a favorable effect on the compressive strength of the tested specimens of SCUWC. Increase of the compressive strength is observed mostly in the upper layers of the samples. Preliminary analysis of the quantity and distribution of air pores in the samples of concrete subjected to pressure 0.5 MPa confirms the positive impact of the hydrostatic pressure on the layers close to the surface indicated by the absence of large air voids above 1,500μm and by reducing the quantity of air pores of size above 300μm. 展开更多

The radial force is a critical factor to determine the sealing performance of radial lip seals.The effects of radial force produced by garter spring and interference on the static contact properties and sealing performance of a radial lip seal are investigated by numerical simulations and experiments.Finite-element analysis and mixed elastohydrodynamic lubrication simulation are used.Radial force,contact width,temperature in the sealing zone,the reverse pumping rate and friction torque are measured.A critical value of interference for a cost-effectively designed radial lip seal is found.Spring force is required to compensate the decrease of the radial force because of the interference and used as a possible way to obtain intelligent control of sealing performance.The quantitative results gotten in this study could provide guide for the seal design and improvement. 展开更多

Experiments and analyses are carried out for GEO and joint GEO/IGSO precise orbit determination using data recorded by China's regional tracking network.Results show that joint GEO/IGSO orbit determination effectively solves the problem of poor observation geometry for GEO satellites.The laser radial evaluation thus confirms that precision is as good as less than 0.1 m.In the case of joint orbit determination,solving the empirical acceleration can reduce errors introduced by the imprecise solar radiation pressure model used for Chinese satellites.This method also improves the accuracy of orbit prediction in the radial direction.The ephemeris accuracy is thus improved and the ephemeris can provide a better service to users with navigation and positioning requirements. 展开更多

A smooth technology based on the non-parametric kernel estimator is adapted to obtain the time-dependent probabilistic density function of the feeder-head load data. In order to describe possible operating change directions of the operating point, the original hyper-cone-like(HCL) model is constructed to consider the probabilistic distribution function(PDF) extracted from feeder-head load data to replace the simple Normal Distribution model and the uncertain generator outputs. To realize the fast TTC calculation of the current operating point in random conditions, a sub-hyper-cone-like(SHCL) model in full power injections space is proposed, which is a similarity transformation of the original one. 展开更多

Non-hermiticity presents a vast newly opened territory that harbors new physics and applications such as lasing and sensing.However,only non-Hermitian systems with real eigenenergies are stable,and great efforts have been devoted in designing them through enforcing parity-time(PT)symmetry.In this work,we exploit a lesser-known dynamical mechanism for enforcing real-spectra,and develop a comprehensive and versatile approach for designing new classes of parent Hamiltonians with real spectra.Our design approach is based on a new electrostatics analogy for modifed non-Hermitian bulk-boundary correspondence,where electrostatic charge corresponds to density of states and electric felds correspond to complex spectral fow.As such,Hamiltonians of any desired spectra and state localization profle can be reverse-engineered,particularly those without any guiding symmetry principles.By recasting the diagonalization of non-Hermitian Hamiltonians as a Poisson boundary value problem,our electrostatics analogy also transcends the gain/loss-induced compounding of foating-point errors in traditional numerical methods,thereby allowing access to far larger system sizes. 展开更多
