An iterative method is introduced successfully to solve the inverse kinematics of a 6-DOF manipulator of a tunnel drilling rig based on dual quaternion, which is difficult to get the solution by Denavit-Hartenberg(D-H) based methods. By the intuitive expression of dual quaternion to the orientation of rigid body, the coordinate frames assigned to each joint are established all in the same orientation, which does not need to use the D-H procedure. The compact and simple form of kinematic equations, consisting of position equations and orientation equations, is also the consequence of dual quaternion calculations. The iterative process is basically of two steps which are related to solving the position equations and orientation equations correspondingly. First, assume an initial value of the iterative variable; then, the position equations can be solved because of the reduced number of unknown variables in the position equations and the orientation equations can be solved by applying the solution from the position equations, which obtains an updated value for the iterative variable; finally, repeat the procedure by using the updated iterative variable to the position equations till the prescribed accuracy is obtained. The method proposed has a clear geometric meaning, and the algorithm is simple and direct. Simulation for 100 poses of the end frame shows that the average running time of inverse kinematics calculation for each demanded pose of end-effector is 7.2 ms on an ordinary laptop, which is good enough for practical use. The iteration counts 2-4 cycles generally, which is a quick convergence. The method proposed here has been successfully used in the project of automating a hydraulic rig. 展开更多

Shukla [Commun. Theor. Phys. 49 (2008) 229] investigated symmetry properties of the barotropic potential vorticity equation without forcing and dissipation on the beta-plane. This equation is governed by two dimensionless parameters, F and β, representing the ratio of the characteristic length scale to the Rossby radius of deformation and the variation of earth' angular rotation, respectively. In the present paper it is shown that in the case F ≠ 0 there exists a well-defined point transformation to set β = 0. The classification of one- and two-dimensional Lie subalgebras of the Lie symmetry algebra of the potential vorticity equation is given for the parameter combination F ≠ 0 and β = 0. Based upon this classification, distinct classes of group-invariant solutions are obtained and extended to the case β ≠0. 展开更多

Chinese Beidou satellite navigation system constellation currently consists of eight Beidou satellites and can provide preliminary service of navigation and positioning in the Asia-Pacific Region.Based on the self-developed software Position And Navigation Data Analysis(PANDA) and Beidou Experimental Tracking Stations (BETS),which are built by Wuhan University,the study of Beidou precise orbit determination,static precise point positioning (PPP),and high precision relative positioning,and differential positioning are carried out comprehensively.Results show that the radial precision of the Beidou satellite orbit determination is better than 10 centimeters.The RMS of static PPP can reach several centimeters to even millimeters for baseline relative positioning.The precision of kinematic pseudo-range differential positioning and RTK mode positioning are 2-4 m and 5-10 cm respectively,which are close to the level of GPS precise positioning.Research in this paper verifies that,with support of ground reference station network,Beidou satellite navigation system can provide precise positioning from several decimeters to meters in the wide area and several centimeters in the regional area.These promising results would be helpful for the implementation and applications of Beidou satellite navigation system. 展开更多

This paper considers the problem of angles-only relative navigation for autonomous rendezvous. Methods for determining degree of observability (DO0) and latent range information of orbital maneuver are proposed for analyzing and enhancing the precision of relative position and velocity estimation. The equations of angles-only relative navigation are set forth on the con- dition that optical camera is the only viable sensor for relative measurement, and expressions for the DO0 of relative navigation are obtained by using the Newton iterative method. The latent range information of orbital maneuver is analyzed, which is employed to enhance the DOO of angles-only relative navigation. Simulation result shows that DOO is effective to describe the observability level of relative position and velocity, and the latent range information is useful in enhancing the DOO of the angles-only relative navigation. 展开更多

Eu^2+/Eu^3+ mixed-valence couple co-doped material holds great potential for ratiometric temperature sensing owing to its different electronic configurations and electron-lattice interaction. Here, the correlation of nonstoichiometry in chemical composition, phase structures and luminescence propertis of Ca2 Al2 Si1-xO7:Eu is discussed, and controlled Eu^2+/Eu^3+ valence and tunable emission appear with decreasing Si content. It is found that the 2 Ca^2++ Si^4+←→ Eu^2++ Eu^3++ Al^3+ cosubstitution accounts for the structural stability and charge balance mechanism. Benefiting from the diverse thermal dependent emission behaviors of Eu^2+ and Eu^3+, Ca2 Al2 Si1-xO7:Eu thermometer exhibits excellent temperature sensing performances with the maximum absolute and relative sensitivity being 0.024 K-1(at 303 K) and 2.46% K-1(at 443 K) and good signal discriminability. We propose that the emission quenching of Eu^2+ is ascribed to 5 d electrons depopulation through Eu^2+/Eu^3+ intervalence charge transfer state, while the quenching of Eu^3+ comes from multiphonon relaxation. Our work demonstrates the potential of Ca2 Al2 Si1-xO7:Eu for noncontact optical thermometry, and also highlights mixed-valence europium-containing compounds toward temperature sensing. 展开更多

In this paper we study the influence of the relative phase between .the probe and driving fields on propagation effect in an open Doppler broadening V-type three-level atomic system with spontaneously generated coherence (SGC) by using the calculation resuk of the density matrix motion equations and the propagation equations of the driving and probe fields. It is shown that the relative phase (Ф) has remarkable periodical influence on the propagation effect, and the period is 2π. By selecting appropriate value of Ф, we can get larger lasing without inversion (LW1) gain and longer propagation distance in which gain exists, and hence obtain higher probe field (i.e. LWI) intensity. When Ф=π/2, the largest LWI gain and probe field intensity can be got. In addition, the atomic exit rate (γ0) and ratio (S) of the atomic injection rates also have a considerable modulation role on the phase-dependent propagation effect. In certain value range of Y0 (S), LWI gain and probe field intensity increase with γ0 (S) increasing. In the open system, LWI gain and probe field intensity much larger than those in the corresponding closed system can be obtained. 展开更多

Most existing flocking algorithms assume one single virtual leader and rely on information on both relative positions and relative velocities among neighboring agents.In this paper,the problem of controlling a flock of mobile autonomous agents to follow multiple virtual leaders is investigated by using only position information in the sense that agents with the same virtual leader asymptotically attain the same velocity and track the corresponding virtual leader based on only position measurements.A flocking algorithm is proposed under which every agent asymptotically attains its desired velocity,collision between agents can be avoided,and the final tight formation minimizes all agents' global potentials.A simulation example is presented to verify and illustrate the theoretical results. 展开更多

The discrete logarithm problem is analyzed from the perspective of Tate local duality. Local duality in the multiplicative case and the case of Jacobians of curves over p-adic local fields are considered. When the local field contains the necessary roots of unity, the case of curves over local fields is polynomial time reducible to the multiplicative case, and the multiplicative case is polynomial time equivalent to computing discrete logarithm in finite fields. When the local field does not contains the necessary roots of unity, similar results can be obtained at the cost of going to an extension that contains these roots of unity. There was evidence in the analysis that suggests that the minimal extension where the local duality can be rationally and algorithmically defined must contain the roots of unity. Therefore, the discrete logarithm problem appears to be well protected against an attack using local duality. These results are also of independent interest for algorithmic study of arithmetic duality as they explicitly relate local duality in the case of curves over local fields to the multiplicative case and Tate-Lichtenbaum pairing (over finite fields). 展开更多

In the precise point positioning(PPP),some impossible accurately simulated systematic errors still remained in the GPS observations and will inevitably degrade the precision of zenith tropospheric delay(ZTD) estimation.The stochastic models used in the GPS PPP mode are compared.In this paper,the research results show that the precision of PPP-derived ZTD can be obviously improved through selecting a suitable stochastic model for GPS measurements.Low-elevation observations can cover more troposphere information that can improve the estimation of ZTD.A new stochastic model based on satellite low elevation cosine square is presented.The results show that the stochastic model using satellite elevation-based cosine square function is better than previous stochastic models. 展开更多

A new strategy to realize precise absolute positioning for a single-frequency user is presented. In the presented strategy, the receiver clock and ambiguities are removed using the satelliteand epoch-differenced (SDED) algorithm. As a further development of the SDED algorithm, a regional augmentation network is used to generate the SDED atmospheric delays at the user. The weakened mathematic property due to the epoch-differenced operation is improved by adding the generated atmospheric delays and applying the robust estimation. To test the new approach, the 24-h data at 5 Continuous Operation Reference Station (CORS) stations in Shanghai is processed. The results show a more than 96% success rate, defined as the case where three directions achieve the desired positioning accuracy of 10 cm, when the observation is longer than 20 min. The 20-min static results show that the new method can reach an accuracy of 3.42, 4.76 and 9.26 cm in the North, East and Up directions, respectively. An experiment was carried out to assess the kinematic positioning. The results show that the kinematic positioning accuracy is 4.11, 5.31 and 4.05 cm in the north-south, east-west and height directions,respectively. 展开更多

The aim of this study was to establish a quality-control method for calcineurin subunit B(CNB) biological activity determinations. CNB enhances the p-nitrophenylphosphate(p NPP) dephosphorylating activity of calcineurin subunit A Δ316 mutant(CNAΔ316). A series of CNB concentrations were fitted to a four-parameter equation to calculate the corresponding p NPP maximum dephosphorylation rates. Values were calculated based on biological activity references using a parallel line method. The method was then validated for accuracy, precision, linearity, linear range, sensitivity, specificity, and robustness. The recovery results were greater than 98%. Intra-plate precision was 6.7%, with inter-plate precision of 10.8%. The coefficient of determination was greater than 0.98. The linear range was 0.05–50 μg m L?1, with sensitivity of 50 μg m L?1. Tested cytokines did not induce CNAΔ316 dephosphorylation of p NPP. The chosen CNAΔ316 concentration range did not affect activity determinations. 展开更多
