科学准确地评估水电工程施工初期导流风险率为施工导流方案决策提供了重要依据。以往风险模型中施工洪水洪峰的随机分布均假设服从P-Ⅲ分布,这会影响导流风险率的精度和可靠性。首先采用K-S检验法对初拟的施工洪水洪峰概率分布类型进行... 科学准确地评估水电工程施工初期导流风险率为施工导流方案决策提供了重要依据。以往风险模型中施工洪水洪峰的随机分布均假设服从P-Ⅲ分布,这会影响导流风险率的精度和可靠性。首先采用K-S检验法对初拟的施工洪水洪峰概率分布类型进行初选,并通过RRMSE、M MAE、QQD值的拟合优度综合评比优选最佳概率分布;然后综合考虑水文、水力随机性,构建基于概率分布优选的施工初期导流风险率计算框架,并给出采用Monte-Carlo方法求解风险率的具体流程;最后对国内两座大型水电工程实例进行应用分析。结果表明,风险率计算框架及求解流程是可行的、有效的;I-MED具有一定的拟合能力,可用于导流风险模拟;两个案例的概率分布排序不同、最佳概率分布不同,进而影响导流风险率大小。研究结果有效拓展了施工导流风险理论框架。 展开更多

The relationship between the thermal/electrical conductivity enhancement in graphite nanoplatelets (GNPs) composites and the properties of filling graphite nanoplatelets is studied. The effective thermal and electrical conductivity enhancements of GNP-oil nanofluids and GNP-polyimide composites are measured. By taking into account the particle shape, the volume fraction, the thermal conductivity of filling particles and the base fluids, the thermal and electrical conductivity enhancements of GNP nanofluids are theoretically predicted by the generalized effective medium theory. Both the nonlinear dependence of effective thermal conductivity on the GNP volume fraction in nanofhiids and the very low percolation threshold for GNP-polyimide composites are well predicted. The theoretical predications are found to be in reasonably good agreement with the experimental data. The generalized effective medium theory can be used for predicting the thermal and electrical properties of GNP composites and it is still available for most of the thermal/electrical modifications in two-phase composites. 展开更多

In order to obtain the Al wires with good mechanical properties and high electrical conductivities, conductive wires of Al-0.16 Zr, Al-0.16 Sc, Al-0.12Sc-0.04Zr(mass fraction, %) and pure Al(99.996%) were produced with the diameter of 9.5 mm by continuous rheo-extrusion technology, and the extruded materials were heat treated and analyzed. The results show that the separate additions of 0.16% Sc and 0.16% Zr to pure Al improve the ultimate tensile strength but reduce the electrical conductivity, and the similar trend is found in the Al-0.12Sc-0.04 Zr alloy. After the subsequent heat treatment, the wire with the optimum comprehensive properties is Al-0.12Sc-0.04 Zr alloy, of which the ultimate tensile strength and electrical conductivity reach 160 MPa and 64.03%(IACS), respectively. 展开更多

As a fundamental study on recovery of valuable metals from nonferrous metallurgical slags,electrical conductivity values of MO(MO=FeO,NiO)-containing CaO-MgO-SiO2-Al2O3 slag with a low basicity were measured at different temperatures using AC impedance spectroscopy.The result shows that the electrical conductivity increased from 1.4 S/m to 14.4 S/m with the increase of the temperature from 1 573 to 1 773 K and the content of MO which is less than 12% under the constant mass ratio of (CaO+MgO) to (SiO2+Al2O3) of 0.47.Moreover,the increase magnitude of the electrical conductivity was also promoted with the increase of the content of MO.The electrical conductivity of FeO-containing slags was close to that of NiO-containing slags when the content was less than 8%;however,it was obviously larger than that of NiO-containing slags when the content was 12%.The activation energy of the electrical conductivity decreased with the increase of MO content. 展开更多

Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) incorporating an n-doping transport layer comprised of 8-hydroxy-quin- olinato lithium (Liq) doped into 4' 7- diphyenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BPhen) as ETL and a p-doping transport layer that includes tetrafluro-tetracyano-quinodimethane (F4- TCNQ) doped into 4,4′, 4″-tris (3-methylphenylphenylamono) triphe- nylamine (m-MTDATA) are demonstrated. In order to examine the improvement in the conductivity of transport layers, hole-only and electron-only devices are fabricated. The current and power efficiency Of organic light-emitting diodes are improved significantly after introducing an n-doping (BPhen:33wt% Liq) layer as an electron transport layer (ETL) and a p-doping layer composed of m-MTDATA and F4- TCNQ as a hole transport layer (HTL). Compared with the control device (without doping) , the current efficiency and power efficiency of the most efficient device (device C) are enhanced by approximately 51% and 89% ,respectively, while driving voltage is reduced by 29%. This improvement is attributed to the improved conductivity of the transport layers that leads to efficient charge balance in the emission zone. 展开更多

Time-dependent thermal simulation of ridge-geometry InGaN laser diodes is carried out with a two-dimensional model. A high temperature in the waveguide layer and a large temperature step between the regions under and outside the ridge are generated due to the poor thermal conductivity of the sapphire substrate and the large threshold current and voltage. The temperature step is thought to have a strong influence on the characteristics of the laser diodes. Time-resolved measurements of light-current curves,spectra, and the far-field pattern of the InGaN laser diodes under pulsed operation are performed. The results show that the thermal lensing effect improves the confinement of the higher order modes and leads to a lower threshold current and a higher slope efficiency of the device while the high temperature in the active layer results in a drastic decrease in the slope efficiency. 展开更多

In this study, the laminar heat transfer and nanofluid flow between two porous horizontal concentric cylinders was investigated. The problem is investigated in two different geometries and the Re=10, 25, 50, 75, 100 and volume fraction 0, 0.2%, 0.5%, 2% and 5% that related to copper nanoparticles, and porous medium porosity of 0.5 and 0.9. Compared to the first geometry, the convective coefficient in the second geometry increases by 8.3%, 7% and 5.5% at Reynolds numbers of 100, 75 and 50, respectively. Comparison of the outlet temperatures for two heat fluxes of 300 and 1200 W/m^2 indicates a 2.5% temperature growth by a fourfold increase in the heat fluxes. Also, the higher Nusselt number is associated with the second geometry occurring at porosities of 0.9 and 0.5, respectively. In both geometries, the Nusselt number values at the porosity of 0.9 are higher, which is due to the increased nanofluid convection at higher porosities. The velocity of the nanofluid experiences a two-fold increase at the outlet compared to its inlet velocity in the first geometry and for both porosities. METHODS: All patients referred for endoscopic drainage of a flui... AIM: To compare the results for endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided drainage of clear fluid pancreatic pseudocysts with the results for abscess drainage. METHODS: All patients referred for endoscopic drainage of a fluid collection were prospectively included. The outcome was recorded. RESULTS: Altogether 26 pseudocysts or abscesses were treated in 25 (6 female) patients. One endoscopist performed the procedures. Non-infected pseudocysts were present in 15 patients and 10 patients had infected fluid collections. The cyst size ranged between 28 cm × 13 cm and 5 cm × 5 cm. The EUS drainage was successful in 94% of the pseudocysts and in 80% of the abscesses (P = 0.04). The complication rate in pseudocysts was 6% and in abscesses was 30% (P = 0.02). Recurrence of a pseudocyst occurred in one patient (4%) after 6 mo; the patient was successfully retreated. CONCLUSION: EUS-guided drainage of pseudocysts is associated with a higher success rate and a lower complication rate compared with abscess drainage. 展开更多

Objective To assess the influence of mimic cardiac rate on hydrodynamics of different mechanical prosthetic cardiac valves. Methods US-made CarboMedics bileaflet valve, China-made Jiuling bileaflet valve and C-L tilting disc valve were tested via a pulsatile flow simulator in the aortic position. Testing conditions were set at mimic cardiac rates of 55 bpm, 75 bpm, 100 bpm with a constant mimic cardiac output of 4 L/min. The mean pressure differences (ΔP), leakage volumes (LEV) and closing volumes (CLV) across each valve, and effective orifice areas (EOA) were analyzed. Results Within physiological range, ΔP, LEV, and CLV decreased as mimic cardiac rate increased, with a large extent of variance. EOA increased along with an increase in mimic cardiac rate. It was a different response in terms of cardiac rate alteration for different types of mechanical prosthetic cardiac valves. Conclusion Mimic cardiac rate change affects hydrodynamics of mechanical prosthetic cardiac valves. Within physiological range, the hydrodynamic of prosthetic bileaflet valve is better than that of tilting disc valve. 展开更多

Experiments and simulations on flow and heat transfer behavior of Therminol-55 liquid phase heat transfer fluid have been conducted in a ribbed tube with the outer diameter and inner diameter 25.0 and 20.0 mm,pitch and rib height of 4.5 and 1.0 mm.respectively.Experimental results show that the heat transfer and thermal performance of Therminol-55 liquid phase heat transfer fluid in the ribbed tube are considerably improved compared to those of the smooth tube.The Nusselt number increase with the increase of Reynolds number.The increase in heat transfer rate of the ribbed tube has a mean value of 2.24 times.Also,the pressure drop results reveal that the average friction factor of the ribbed tube is in a range of 2.4 and 2.8 times over the smooth tube.Numerical simulations of three-dimensional flow behavior of Therminol-55 liquid phase heat transfer fluid are carried out using three different turbulence models in the ribbed tube.The numerical results show that the heat transfer of ribbed tube is improved because vortices are generated behind ribs,which produce some disruptions to fluid flow and enhance heat transfer compared with smooth tube.The numerical results prove that the ribbed tube can improve heat transfer and fluid flow performances of Therminol liquid phase heat transfer fluid. 展开更多

Dielectric relaxation dynamics was analyzed based on the electric modulus behavior. Dielectric losses (tanδ) are found to be negligibly small in the temperature range 313?523 K, proving good thermal stability of the glasses. The present Eu2O3-doped oxyfluroborate glasses showed low dielectric loss at higher frequency and lower temperature, proving their suitability for nonlinear optical materials. 展开更多

A new instrument for upper ocean survey, namely the UCTD (Underway Conductivity-Temperature- Depth), which combines some of the advantages of other underway instruments, is introduced in this paper. The Introduction section presents a description of the construction and function of the UCTD, and the experiments conducted in the South China Sea on board the R/V Dong Fang Hong 2 in July 2007 and August 2008. The UCTD system, with pressure and temperature sensors in the probe, is con- veniently portable, cost-effective and environment-friendly. It is hopefully suitable for future cruises. An intercomparison based on regressing with the experiment temperature data from both SeaBird plus911 CTD and the UCTD showed that the standard deviation is 0.88~C and the correlation coefficient is 0.96, achieving the goals set for the current oceanography uses. In the hydrodynamic experiments, the descending velocities and depths were calculated for different ship speeds. A pulling test was designed with a tensiorneter to measure the magnitude of the pull. The maximal tension of the line was found to be 66.2 kg, which is far lower than the bearing limit of the Hollow Spectra line. Finally, some improvement suggestions are put forward for future experiments and production. 展开更多

Electrical conductivity and dielectric properties of bismuth aluminate, Bi12.47Al0.53O19.5 (BAO), were investigated in the frequency range from 1 Hz to 1 MHz in the temperature range from 420 K to 5 K. In the temperature range from 360 K to 220 K the real part of the complex ac electrical conductivity and dielectric constant follow the universal dielectric response (UDR), being typical for hopping or tunneling of localized charge carriers. A detailed analysis of the temperature dependence of the UDR parameter s in terms of the theoretical model for tunneling of small polarons revealed that below 360 K this mechanism governs the charge transport in this material. The characteristic parameters for polarons, W∞, ιo, and ι0 were determined. 展开更多

The characteristics of low frequency electrical noise, voltage current ( V I ) and electrical derivation for 980 nm InGaAsP/InGaAs/GaAs high power double quantum well lasers(DQWLs) are measured under different conditions. The correlation of the low frequency electrical noise with surface non radiative current of devices is discussed. The results indicate the low frequency electrical noise of 980 nm DQWLs with high power is mainly 1/ f noise and has good relation with the device surface current at low injection. 展开更多
