The erection of upper structure adopts geometry control method and requires no change to the unit' s size and the structure' s none-stress geometry. Before main span closure, the cantilever of girder reaches 540.8 m, the structure state is noticeably influenced by extemal circumstances, the main span closure face great difficulty. By abstracting the advantage of the pullback method abroad and the domestic temperature-cutting method, a new assistant pullback method have put forward and bring into practice actually. In this paper, the analysis key point of practice conditions, key parameter of practice, main measures of the method and the performance is introduced.展开更多

It was designed to permit the transfer of equipment and personnel from a submersible to the pressure chamber of an oil storag...An improved spherical, movable transfer skirt for autonomous submersibles has been devised. It was designed to permit the transfer of equipment and personnel from a submersible to the pressure chamber of an oil storage sea-bed structure. It also allowed mating at large vertical angles while the submersible remained horizontal. Seal failure modes and procedures for analyzing the sealing ability of the mating flange of the hull transfer skirt were thoroughly analyzed using conservative estimation methods. In the analysis, sea currents and mating angles were considered. Results showed that when considering the effects of currents, spherical radius and mating angle, their influence on seal ring failure should be considered first. The critical mating depth for a seal ring failure was larger than for either sliding or rotational failure modes. The critical mating depth can be used to determine the mating method of the submersible. The analytical procedures and results can be used as a reference for the design of spherical hull transfer skirts.展开更多

This research was based on various field surveys around big or medium...Since 2000, we have published fifteen studies on the Chinese upscale gated communities (in Chinese "haohua bieshu qu" or "shehua bieshu qu"). This research was based on various field surveys around big or medium cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, or Suzhou, and a theoretical framework. It also led us to carry out a statistical approach by elaborating a complete database on all the China's high-end gated communities. The main aim of the current article is to focus the analysis on the China's most luxurious zones of villas (e.g., Longhu Yiheyuan villas in Beijing, Ziyuan villas in Shanghai... ). Indirectly, it appears an efficient way to get information on the still mysterious world of the China's very very rich people, their imaginary, their values, and their dreams. This analysis will be developed through two complementary approaches and parts. Firstly, we will discuss the general notion of luxury in China; we also will highlight the specific features of hyper-rich and hyper-luxury in China. It will describe the social stratification of the rich, their spatial distribution and patterns of consumption. In a more holistic approach, the analysis will put into perspective the special status of the rich in a socialist market economy and their very ambivalent image in the Chinese society. Secondly, it will focus on the notion of "residential hyper-luxury". Through field surveys, the analysis will compare the China's most expensive gated communities and elaborate a typology of hyper-luxurious gated communities by underlining their uniqueness and extreme nature.展开更多

Th...By applying nonequilibrium Green's function formalism combined with first-principles density functional theory, we investigate the electronic transport properties of the dihydroazulene optical molecular switch. Three kinds of adsorption sites including the hollow, bridge and top sites are studied. The two forms of this molecule, namely the open form and the closed form, can reversibly switch from each other upon photoexcitation. Their transmission spectra are remarkably distinctive. Theoretical results show that the current of the closed form is always significantly larger than that of the open form for all three adsorption sites, which promises this system as possibly one of the good candidates for optical switches due to its unique advantage, and which may have some potential applications in the future molecular circuit.展开更多
