The design technique for a tunable Q-enhancement CMOS active inductor operating in the wide RF-band is described. Moreover, issues related to noise and stability of the active inductor are explained. The filter was fabricated in 0.18μm CMOS technolo- gy,and the circuit occupied an active area of only 150μm ×200μm. Measurement results show that the filter centered at 2. 44GHz with about 60MHz bandwidth (3dB) is tunable in center frequency from about 2.07 to 2. 44GHz. The ldB compression point is - 15dBm while consuming 10. 8mW of DC power, and a maximum quality factor of 103 is attained at the center frequency of 2.07GHz.展开更多

An approach employing ultrasound in MIM was proposed. The approach was extensively studied through experiments with a home-made experimental ultrasonic plastification device. The results of the experiments show that polymer ultrasonic plastification speed increases with ultrasonic supply voltage and plastification pressure. When the ultrasonic supply voltage is 200 V and the plastification pressure is 2.0 MPa, the polymer ultrasonic plastification speed reaches the maximum value of 0.111 1 g/s. The results also indicate that the ultrasonic cavitation effect is the most significant effect of all the three effects during polymer ultrasonic plastification process.展开更多

When one of the inverters compensates for voltage sag that appears in its feeder (voltage control mode), the other inverters pump the required power into the dc bus (power control mode). Each inverter will have both voltage and power controllers; only one controller is in use during the abnormal conditions according to its feeder state. The voltage controller uses one of the dynamic voltage restoration techniques. In this paper, the in-phase technique is applied and two types of loads are considered (constant impedance and three phase induction motor). Since the voltage restoration process may need real power injection into the distribution system, the power controller injects this power via voltage injection. This voltage injection is simulated by voltage drop across series virtual impedance. A new scheme is proposed to select the impedance value. The impedance value is selected such that the power consumed by this impedance represents the required power to be transferred without perturbing the load voltage. The performance of this system is also studied during voltage swell. A scheme for operation of multi-feeder IDVR system is proposed in this paper. Simulation results substantiate the proposed concept.展开更多

Both a reheater and a liquid-gas ejector are used in this ammonia-water based cycle. Energy analysis and parametric analysis are performed to guide the theoretical performance and experimental investigation is done to verify the theoretical results. The results show that the generator pressure, heating source temperature and turbine outlet depressurization made by the ejector can affect the cycle performances. Besides, the experimental thermal efficiency is much lower than the theoretical one on account of the heat losses and irreversibility. Moreover, the performance of liquid-gas ejector is affected by primary flow pressure and temperature.展开更多
