A highly intense green-emitting phosphor of Eu2+-doped Sr4Al14O25 (SAE:Eu2+) was synthesized by a solid state reaction. In this study, XRD, PL/PLE, QE, thermal stability and LED package tests are systematically carried out and investigated. The optimized-composition of (Sro 92Eu0.08)4Al14025 exhibited a green emission peak at 497 nm under excitation wavelength of 400 nm, giving the chromaticity coordinates of (0.14, 0.35) with excellent quantum efficiency (98%) compared to those of other green-commodities, such as Ba2SiO4:Eu2+ (90%) and BaMgAl10O17:EU2+, Mn2+ (92%). The results demonstrated that SAE:Eu2+ could be a potential candidate as the NUV-pumping phosphor for applications in light-emitting diodes (LEDs). 展开更多

Turbulent kinetic energy budgets are presented for a highly curved flow generated by the collision of plane wall turbulent jet with a low-velocity boundary layer. The different terms are obtained in the vertical plane of symmetry by quadratic interpolation of the LDV (Laser Doppler Velocimetry) measurements, for a wall jet-to-boundary layer velocity ratio of 2. The results, which have relevance to flows encountered in powered-lift aircraft operating in ground effect, quantify the structure of the complex ground vortex flow. The analysis of turbulent energy equation terms using the measured data revealed that production by normal and shear stresses are both very important to the turbulent structure of the impact zone of the ground vortex. This is an indication that the modeling of turbulence of a ground vortex requires a good representation of the production by normal stresses which is most important in the collision zone. 展开更多

The mechanical properties and cutting performance of the designed Cu Al Mn Zn Ti B shape memory alloy were studied by tensile test and microstructure observation. Using X-ray diffractometry, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and semi-quantitative shape memory effect test, the microstructure and shape memory effect were analyzed. It is found that lots of βphase and few α phase are formed in the quenching of Cu-7.5Al-9.7Mn-3.4Zn-0.3Ti-0.14B(mass fraction, %) alloy, a great deal of martensite and few α phase are formed in the aging alloy, while the annealing alloy is composed of a great deal of α phase and few βphase. The tensile strength and elongation of the annealed alloy are 649 MPa and 17.1%, respectively. Some tiny and dispersion distributed second phase particles are generated in Ti and B precipitates, greatly improving the alloy machinability. 展开更多

Antimony-based Zintl compounds AM2Sb2(A=Ca,Sr,Ba,Yb,Eu;M=Mg,Zn,Cd,Mn),which enable a broad range of manipulation on electrical and thermal transport properties,are considered as an important class of thermoelectric materials.Phonon and carrier transport engineering were realized in YbMg2Sb2 via equivalent and aliovalent substitution of Zn and Ag,respectively.The roomtemperature thermal conductivity reduces from 1.96 to 1.15 W m^-1 K^-1 for YbMg2-xZnxSb2 due to the mass and strain fluctuation through the formation of the absolute solid solution of YbMg2Sb2-YbZn2Sb2.Furthermore,the carrier concentration has been further optimized by Ag doping(from 0.42×10^19 to 7.72×10^19 cm^-3 at room temperature),and thus the electrical conductivity and the power factor are enhanced effectively.The integrated aspects make the dimensionless figure of merit(zT)reach 0.48 at 703 K,which is 60%higher than the pristine YbMgZnSb2 sample. 展开更多

We report the use of ultra-short, pulsed-laser annealed Ti/Au contacts to enhance the performance of multilayer MoS2 field effect transistors (FETs) on flexible plastic substrates without thermal damage. An analysis of the temperature distribution, based on finite difference methods, enabled understanding of the compatibility of our picosecond laser annealing for flexible poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN) substrates with low thermal budget (〈 200 ℃). The reduced contact resistance after laser annealing provided a significant improvement in transistor performance including higher peak field-effect mobility (from 24.84 to 44.84 cm2-V-l.s-1), increased output resistance (0.42 MΩ at Vgs- Vth = 20 V, a three-fold increase), a six-fold increase in the self-gain, and decreased sub- threshold swing. Transmission electron microscopy analysis and current-voltage measurements suggested that the reduced contact resistance resulted from the decrease of Schottky barrier width at the MoS2-metal junction. These results demonstrate that selective contact laser annealing is an attractive technology for fabricating low-resistivity metal-semiconductor junctions, providing important implications for the application of high-performance two-dimensional semicon- ductor FETs in flexible electronics. 展开更多

This paper is devoted to the analysis of the Cauchy problem for a system of PDEs arising in radiative hydrodynamics. This system, which comes from the so-called equilibrium diffusion regime, is a variant of the usual Euler equations, where the energy and pressure functionals are modified to take into account the effect of radiation and the energy balance containing a nonlinear diffusion term acting on the temperature. The problem is studied in the multi-dimensional framework. The authors identify the existence of a strictly convex entropy and a stability property of the system, and check that the Kawashima-Shizuta condition holds. Then, based on these structure properties, the wellposedness close to a constant state can be proved by using fine energy estimates. The asymptotic decay of the solutions are also investigated. 展开更多
